@Iceman220 thanks for waiting on lap 1. That was a freak accident. I somehow bounced from the exit of turn 9 alway the way back to the sandpits before 9. My car looked like a pinball.

Another brilliant event put on by the great guys of gtplanet.

My race was a tail of two story's the first 7 laps I was plagued with Fps and caused me to spin off twice dropping me as low as 9th so I changed my strategy and chose to do a monster 17 laps on first set of tyres as I had raw speed and it pulled me up to 2nd as every one stopped.
my second set I fuelled for a small 11 lap stint as I thought I could get some clean air and nail some quick laps to bring me back in to a podium chance and I managed to knock off 10 of my best ever laps pulling me up to 3rd.
My 3rd stop I found I was around 6 seconds behind RS and was trading sectors with him for 10 laps before he gifted me a 2nd place with a rare mistake .
Congrats to Danny thou I may have grabbed fastest lap but you're pace and consistency was untouchable tonight

I had a similar strategy as Roesza, just don't go off track. I managed to pull that off and finished much higher than I imagined. It is a shame that Bart and Stiggy could not compete due to some type of issue with the lobby. I am not sure what was different today, but I was able to beat my quali time on early laps with full fuel. I also said to myself that if someone was closing on me and I am making no mistakes, I was not going to contest. I tend to make too many mistakes watching my mirror to fend off passes.

A funny story from my race today, Bart was having the issue where his car would not go. I am closing in on him, thinking how am I catching Bart. I then got behind him and did follow for a while (probably much too long), even though I was faster. I saw my competition closing on me and said well I guess I have to pass him. It did not compute to me that I was about to pass Bart.

After 3 poor races I had tonight a great race. I chose to have an easy approach to the race with a pace 1 second slower then I could do. That meant for the first 7 laps in a stint 2'12 and the the other 7 2'13. This paid out well and had no off track excursion. I had to start dead last because I wasn't able to qualify but drove some 2'11 laps in the practice so I knew I could move up some places from 11th spot but I never expected to end the race as 2nd. :)
@GTMX-HECTO1 congratulations with the great win you were by a mile the fastest guy.
@DON-Mejilone thx for the great fight for a big part of the race.
Thanks RoeszaGT, I'm pretty sure that if you start in the front row, we are going to have a good battle, congratulations to all the guys who are in the room b, and thanks again to all the people involved in this, you guys make a great job.
:bowdown::cheers::gtpflag:

That was something! Lost 3 places at the start, had them back by lap 3. Minor incident with Shlagem at lap 8. Couldn't believe I was 5th for a while, specially never being able to go below 2'13s, but no mistakes made the trick until second stop. Kept looking at the rearview mirrors waiting for Hassle to catch up with me. Of course he did, crazy moment at 130R when I overtook Thematic on the outside and Hassle overtook me before the chicane. After lap 28 the pressure I was doing on the DS3 made my fingers numb and lost a bit of concentration, loosing 6th place to eggstor and a lap to Masterhec soon after. Was anybody else on a controller today?
Congrats Hector on room b win 👍
Great Event Hassle well done all involved :gtpflag:

Great race today and a huge success. Ran laps 3-42 without posting a single 2:14x (excluding pits). Didn't run as many low 11's as I'd hoped but my plan was to keep it on the track and be flat on the gas on time out of every corner and I pretty well managed that.

As for lap 2....

I came around Degner and saw that Ruz and Stiggy had both run wide and were in trouble. I lifted off the gas and waited for Ruz to clear the track and then I went into Turn 9 on a good line and everything was fine....

...until I realized that Ruz's car had careened all the way across turn 9 and back onto the track dead in front of me. It was far too late for me avoid him and I t-boned Ruz.

I really don't know how to describe what happened next.

It was like Ruz's car b-slapped me.

I've watched it a dozen times and you really have to see it to believe it. I got knocked from the exit of turn 9 back into the sand on entry side of turn 9. At one point I was going 60 mph in the wrong direction. I lost 25 seconds from the time I first passed Ruz until the time I got back on the gas (and this was after getting clipped from behind and spun out on the first turn!).

To be crystal clear -- I'm not faulting Ruz at all. It was a freak accident and I credit him greatly for waiting until I got past him. That's fine sportsmanship on his part and I'm happy to race with him any day.

Anyway, that's racing. Stuff happens and you keep fighting.

In the end I managed to get close enough to @DEPR to catch him if he had a bad slip up (which never happened). My ultimate goal for the day was to be the highest placing D2 driver, so knowing I was close kept me interested. I got within 3 seconds of Kjeld but not quite enough in the end. Congrats Kjeld on being highest placing D2 driver, and please graduate to D1 asap.

A couple of lessons learned today: 1) spend a bit more time practicing on bad tires. I thought a low 13 was good on bad tires going in to today and yet I put together an 11x without risking anything on a 13th lap. It looks like I can push it a little harder than I realized. 2) I'm cautious to a fault out of the starting gate. It's one thing not to run into the guy in front and another to invite guys in back to pass.

Fantastic event. Well done mods and congrats up front.

Thanks Stephan  congrats on 2'nd in D2 well done

I realy had problems holding the pace when my tyres was a little worn. I felt like driving with the handbrake pulled a little after the last pitstop. 💡 i was constantly looking for you to pull up behind me after @Gravitron got by me. But i was focuced on NOT making any mistakes. That allmost worked :banghead: congrats to the podiums. Ekstremly well done.

All i all, i was very glad that i finished on 5 place. It was clear that i did not have the pace to hold on to 2 place. :)

A Thanks to @PASM and @Gravitron for this race. Great fun and hard. Was pretty hot after that :nervous:

this was the worst race of mine since i joined wrs :(
lack of practice i guess

Btw @alexamenos :boggled:

I'm not nearly fast enogh to get in D1 yet. So we have to fight for some time yet and you are most likely to make D1 before me. Hope that a upgrade of my internetconnection will help me be more stable. I'm quite sure that it have an effect on my performance. I feel that the cars lag a bit every time i drive online. And finaly i found a guy there can make glases so i can se where i'm going :dopey: it is absolute worst when we drive at night and in low light. Tryed to turn up brightness on my tv. It helped a bit, but i realy hope glases will do the trick.

I'm so gutted I missed this race. I hope everyone enjoyed the occasion.

The slow bug sure does seem strange. I like to drive the WSR quite a bit and never had it myself. Has anyone had it in another car?

Haven't noticed in race, but can happen in "free run" if someone enters the track, yeah. The car will freeze for a moment. This is probably technically different though.

Yes I had it in a 550pp lobby the other day in a car I'm normally 2 seconds quicker than my friends but it felt like the car just didn't want to move at all it just felt like I had the brakes on all the time

Exactly the same i notist yesterday. No matter what i did, i felt that i was driving with the handbrake on. Topspeed was gone and turningspeed was slower. The car felt unstable end tryed to oversteer in allmost all corners.

I wonder what the problem is?

Kjeld

I think the problem is lag. Because all my apex and top speeds were the same as usual, so lag is the only other thing I can think of. If you keep lagging backwards a tiny bit, the top speed on your speedo would be the same as usual(I think), but you'd be going slower.

My speedo showed 6-8km/h less in the same corners and on straight. I did not feel any lag on the car. It just felt heavy and slow. I dont know if i was lagging, but no one commentet on it after the race, so i dont think i did. Ruz, meister and i was training the Day before and there it felt much better.

But you can be right that it's a new kind of lag.

I was watching my replay last night and I watched PASM and yourself, as you mentioned the lag.

Both your speedometers were not going up and down smoothly, it was just a blur of numbers.
Plus listening to your engine notes, it was as if you weren't on the throttle continuously, like a quick stabbing action - Barp,Barp,Barp sort of sound (if that makes sense).

@DEPR the same was happening with you but to a lesser extent. Apologies for my tapping your rear twice into the last chicane after 130R in the early stages, with me using auto gears it seems that I don't have as much engine braking as manual users (or it could've been lag again).

I had the same problems DEPR reported, couldn't match my corner speed of FP and Qualifying, though i noticed directly that @PASM and @Mini Stiggy had bigger problems. So i kept it cool and just tried to adapt and not over drive myself or the car. The second and last stint felt better but there was still a different feel to it.

This is starting to get on my nervs as i was hoping for a "close combat" race that would be decided by the number of errors not by the number of frames 🤬

Please PD get your act together as this is one off the biggest fudge up allong side an endless list 👎

I stopped my race too because I wondered why I only manage to hit 2'13's and 14's. Was the in turn speed mainly... Had to break down to 165-170 km/h not to fly off the first turn
In the VW race before I couldn't see any errors...

That happens @numbnuts70. Got a few scares when you hit me. As long i diddent go off. :dunce:

I can imagene that Bart and stiggys problems was worse then mine. I was unsurten of it was me there was to bad.

@Friday_GTRP Did you allsow feel the car to be heavy and very slow up thru the gears?

One thing I had noticed before the race was my car went down to 357PP, even though I hadn't put on nearly enough miles for the effects of the oil change to wear off. I did an oil change and restored the rigidity, and was back up to normal for my race.

First 10 Laps I lost about 5 seconds to @GTMX-HECTO1, than made a mistake but staid second and stupid enough another big mistake and @RoeszaGT could overtake me.
I was able to catch up with him but was not fast enough to overtake him ! I was driving right behind him for many laps but he had nerves of steel and I could not force him into making a mistake.
So Mr. @RoeszaGT thx for the great fight as well !

Does anyone at GTPlanet have contact to Sony or The gt6 guys? I'm quite sure that the PS3 i a bit over the limit of what it Can handle? Or the online part of the game have some problems. On ad Daily basis i have to go ofline and online just to get NAT2 to work. Tryed to talk to my internetdealer and the say that there schuld not be any NAT at all. NAT is a limiter the reduce what we Can do on the internet/online. You can have 100/100 mbit and stil work with NAT3.

Anyone else have that problem?

Kjeld

Congrats @Friday_GTRP and @Masterhec on your wins. Apologies to those in room #2, we chose the wrong room for @Masterhec as you can see in the merged results, oops.

Well done on the podiums @skyline1683, @RS__96__oO, @RoeszaGT, and @Don Mejillone.
