Thanks for the congrats guys, it went smooth for me in Q2 and Q3. Will be a close and difficult race. Keeping it on track will be key.

Im really sorry I cant race you guys tonight. My weekend worked out different than planned so i wont be able to make it in time. But if @PASM creates a stream i'll make sure i'll be cheering for you guys with a nice cold  in my hand.

Good luck everyone and have fun!

A short video to honor Ayrton Senna, who outqualified Prost here by 1.7 seconds:

something involving "cohones" and 130R without an run off area:bowdown:

That was a lot of fun yesterday.

I was very happy to make it to the final round -- I had some nail biting times in round 2 waiting for it to end while daserdj, skyline and graviton were all still on fast laps. Lucas nudged skyline for a trip to round 3 in the last chicane of round 2. Good stuff.

Excited about the race today. See you there.

I hope i'm allowed to race in the B-room. On my way home now and will join asap to get some miles at the track because I only ran some offline practice. I hope to have enough pace to join the race.

The 2014 WRS Japanese Grand Prix starts in less than 2 hours!

The lounges will be open for warmup about 1 hours before race start. Show up as early as possible. Drivers are expected to be in the pits and past inspections at 19:00 sharp and the race timer will start promptly.

Once on the grid and the race has started we will use the formation lap to get in proper order. Make sure you know your position and who you are behind in the grid. Tire warming is allowed, just be careful not to crash doing so. When making the final turn slow and leave a gap. Drivers should get their grid spots one at a time... We don't want one driver to overshoot causing the entire grid to overshoot. The grid slots are numbered on the tarmac. Take your time as we have five minutes to get back in grid positions.*

At exactly 5:00.000 we launch. Do not jump the start as we will obviously review this. The replay will be frozen at this time and every driver must be applying brakes on that frame. Jump start penalties will be harsh, especially if that driver gained positions as a result. If you jump by accident and let off to return any gain no penalty will apply.

*If there is a problem during the initial grid setup please type in chat and we can delay the start until the 6 minute mark to give time to correct. But that request must be made by at least 4:45. If chat is silent by 4:45 the race will start at 5:00 no matter what.

Be safe in turn 1 and the entire first few laps. Running close to other cars affects the grip, so understand the car in front of you is battling understeer just like you. Things will settle as the race spreads out.

It's a long race so be patient... Your chance to be on pole/front row was yesterday. Don't drive into turn 1 like there is nobody in front if you didn't get that job done. They earned it so respect their positions unless they make an error.

WRS standard rules apply regarding track boundaries which means two tires must be on/over the track surface at all times. The rumble is considered track, but the tarmac to the right of the rumble strip is not. If you have both fronts or both rear tires completely on the other side of the rumbles at any point during your pass of the chicane that is considered "dirty". Of course the admins understand in an online race that mistakes do happen and a random mistake here or there during the race will not result in a penalty, but repeated abuse will result in a minor time penalty (15 seconds) or major time penalty (30 seconds) depending on the severity/frequency. So if you find yourself cutting it close or "dirty" on a lap by mistake make sure not to cut it so close in future laps.

Something is seriously wrong. My car won't go faster that a 2:20 lap! But somehow I'm going the same mph as usual, but people are flying by like I have no power.

Edit:
It feels like my car is constantly lagging backward. 3 steps forward, one back.

Mine was a 2'34 lap. Same thing happen to me yesterday. Sorry I went to the lobby.

I think @PASM has same problem. He's sitting in the pits with me, and on the live stream his fastest lap is a 2:13

Sorry, but I am a little glad it happen to someone else, so I know I am not crazy. But this stinks.

I was 2 secs of the pace even though I was faltout through "S".
I had to retire sorry

Didn't hear any of the super-slow car complaints in the other room, though having only 11 of 14 might have helped in that department. I had a decent race going until I spun in front of Paul @hasslemoff in the S-curves early on. He mistakenly waited for me, which put both of us in the back. Still, I managed to barely finish on the lead lap despite a few more spins.

Yeah there were...meeeee. I could not get anything bellow a 2:17... No matter what I did...finally got frustrated and fell of....still lots of fun.

This is by far one of the best races i ever been into, this race brought back a lot of essence to my sim as now I'm more interested in these well organised races.

I would like to thank everyone for such a wonderful experience.

My car felt a lot better in terms of pace today, about 1.2 quicker than qualy and presumably the fastest lap of the room B, my race was plagued with a lot of stupid mistakes which prevented me from finishing second in room B, the last 10 laps i was exhausted and numb that only my sub conscience was driving and i settled to 4th.

I have no complaint whatsoever apart from that i was surprised that back markers held their line when lapped instead of leaving the line opened to pass but all in all it was okay.

After 3 poor races I had tonight a great race. I chose to have an easy approach to the race with a pace 1 second slower then I could do. That meant for the first 7 laps in a stint 2'12 and the the other 7 2'13. This paid out well and had no off track excursion. I had to start dead last because I wasn't able to qualify but drove some 2'11 laps in the practice so I knew I could move up some places from 11th spot but I never expected to end the race as 2nd. :)
@GTMX-HECTO1 congratulations with the great win you were by a mile the fastest guy.
@DON-Mejilone thx for the great fight for a big part of the race.

A great 1st race and experience of a GTP organised event.

Thanks PASM for organising and also thanks to Gravitron for hosting.:gtpflag:

After qualifying 12th, I didn't hold out for much in the race but by lap 8/9 I managed to get myself up to a respectable 3rd.

Had a really bad (delay) 1st pit-stop, which put me back a few places and what with being a bit 'race-rusty' and some choice moments of lag, which caused me to put more than a few wheels on the dirt, I've gotta be happy with an 8th place considering my lack of outright pace.

Good job all. đź‘Ť
