Hi PASM, is this event still open for new entries?
Yes of course, the event is still open. The event only closes at about 2 hours before the race.
I see you are on the WRS registry, in Division 2 👍. In order for our automated registration system using Google Docs to work, you will need to fill in the 3D3 Racing Online Driver Database Entry Form , then wait for confirmation from one of the stewards and you are good to go. You will only need to do that once.
From that point you can just register for each event you want to participate in by using the big "Register Here" button.
There's some pretty good tunes listed in the OP:tup:Ok, thanks.
I've signed up and did a few laps practice but can't seem to get below 2.11s.
I got a feeling that this car is gonna take some tuning
Any tips fellas?

Thanks.
Yeah, I will try some of those.
Are there any Suzuka specific one's that you know of?
I will have to try Stotty's mods. 👍 I started with your Silverstone tune, the gears seemed mostly good, but the tires were wearing faster in the rear than in the front. I liked @SW_10's Peugeot 905B tune in the Monza seasonal, so I tried his F3 tune (with a couple small tweaks that I've forgotten at the moment) and kept your gears, and the tire wear was more even. Was able to go to lap 14, which is what will be needed for a 2-stop strategy, but it was a bit dicey the last two laps.I can say that I liked Stotty's version of SW_10's tune a lot around Suzuka. I used my gears with a different final gear ratio to get the top speed just right.
What's great about knockout qualifying on Sat and the race on Sunday is we can have different qualifying tunes and race tunes. We're not as strict as F1. 👍For me praiano's tune worked great on a qualifying lap, got a 2'09.757, but in a race I'm worried about those rear tyres Will try SW_10's tune with those mods next days.

Oh and the only way I could get into the 2'10s is with 1/4th of a tank or less.
That's correct. 👍 Looks like we're missing those in the OP, I'll go edit them in.Hearing that has made me feel a little bit better
I'll probably set a room up for practice/tuning in a while.
Am I right in assuming that TC,ABS,Driving Line is allowed and Active Steering and SRF is not?
It's usually listed as so in the WRS/TT OPs.
Haven't thought about that! I don't know if I can make it to the qualifying, though, as me and PASM are racing another series right before that. What's great about knockout qualifying on Sat and the race on Sunday is we can have different qualifying tunes and race tunes. We're not as strict as F1. 👍
No problem, we have pre-qualifying available too, where you and a steward meet in a room and you qualify by running 5 laps (1 out lap, 3 hot laps, 1 cool down lap). Still have the option of using a different tune there, but you miss out on the low-fuel runs that we'll have in knockout quali.Haven't thought about that! When exactly does the Knockout quali start? We must have had you in mind. 💡I signed up. No idea if I'll make quali or not. Would it be alright if I do a pre-qualification, and then if find out I will be able to do knockout qualifying, I do that instead and erase my pre-quali time? Also, I might get home during knockout qualifying. So say I do a pre-Q time of 2:10.500, but I get home in the middle of Q1. If the cutoff time to enter Q2 was a 2:11.000, could I enter Q2(without doing Q1)? I hope that makes sense
I must be blindWe must have had you in mind. 💡
- Once you run pre-qualification your time is final and you cannot run the live session on Saturday.
- Pre-qualification lap times will not / should not be revealed until after the live qualification on Saturday.
- Drivers that have not qualified prior to the start of the live qualification will not be allowed to race without prior steward approval.
So just show up to knockout quali if and when you can. Although I'm not sure you can join halfway through a session in Time Trial mode, I doubt it. If you can't make it into Q1, then maybe you'd have time to run a pre-quali later in the day Saturday?
Yes, as long as you don't piss us off.I must be blind
So let me get this right. I don't do a pre-Q. I miss knockout Q. I can do a Pre(or I guess post)-Q session on Saturday after knockout Q?
Cool, thanksYes, as long as you don't piss us off.
Careful, that's not "not pissing me off". lolollololo Nice one. 👍Edit 2:
2:08.177 with low fuel.
