This is just a bit of fun and not an official WRS event in any way
That makes two of us so far Larry. I'm sure there are a good number of WRS members that have these already, putting the quality to one side it would be a good way of getting value for money out of your purchase. Also showing interest in VR may help in more update from PD, I'd love to be around when we all race in VR.

This is just a list to gather names of members that would be interested in VR fun.

Show your interest please.

List so far.

@Bass Addict
Hey Phil & Larry, I got PSVR yesterday and tried it out in GTS and am loving it! :D The graphics downgrade was expected, so no issue there. Of course I had to go to the Nordschleife first, and it's true what I've heard - the elevation changes are more noticeable in VR. Then tried our McLaren @ Fuji combo and immediately noticed that I didn't have to be as gentle on throttle coming out of the slow corners...I could mash the gas sooner than I was in normal TT mode. So I'm currently suspicious that the game physics may be a little different in VR TT vs normal TT mode. They still feel pretty close to each other, but wondering if you've seen similar?

Anyway, put me on your list please. Would be happy to run a few extra laps in VR on our combos for the purpose of a side comp.

Your name is on the list, You know your way round the forum pages better than I, lets put together a page for a none WRS linked TT. Others like to see that sort of thing, make WRS members only that way if gtp members out side of WRS would like to join VR they have to take part in WRS TT events, a small way to inject new members to WRS and the online races.

Or send me some thoughts and I'll do the Donkey work.

Any other WRS members would like to put their name in the Hat let me know.

I have a new fiber optic service along with their router that is free for 6 months. I am going to buy my own router and was wondering if anyone here is using a "Gaming Router" like the Netgear Nighthawk Pro Gaming XR500. I have a $100 Dell Gift Card that I need to use by the end of the year and with Black Friday just around the corner, I am hoping dell.com might have some deals as well.

The marketing is very impressive for the XR500 with the focus on online gaming...does it make a difference? I am looking for a plug n play router that doesn't need much set-up / tweaking from me...:dunce:

Unless you are connecting your PS4s via WiFi the router will make hardly any difference. Most offer QOS and can prioritise game bandwidth. That said I have always had Netgear and swear by them. I have the Nighthawk D7000 and it has superb range and signal strength. With their smart setup they need very few tweaks but if you are a bit of a nerd then they also offer a huge configuration capability too.

Not sure how mine compares to the model you quoted but they all have pretty much the same administration and configuration interface.

I like Netgear products and have had very good success with them. This is important as I have several wireless streamers in the house. The PS4 is always on a wired connection. 👍

Good to know as I just want it to work out of the box and then I can "nerd up" over time and make changes...:)

Thanks Mike!

Did you get this sorted Larry.

Model I use is this
ASUS RT-AC68U AC1900 Dual-Band Gigabit Wireless Router

With 4 adults in the house very high usage, mobile phones, tablets. man, no the list is stupidly long there is a lot shell we say. it handles the work load very well.

Why Asus you ask, I've built many computers using Asus MB's over the years for family and friends, they are a little bomb prof you mite say, don't come with all the bells and whistles of some but seem to do the job they are made to do.

@Mr.p I brought that one when I had to surrender my driving licence, due to my epilepsy , they are good fun Ron , grand kids love it. Have my license back now, not that I drive at night with the head lights.

Went to Silverstone for motoGP one year, you even get your own parking / viewing stand.
