Several sessions without improvement, but it often pays out keeping at it. :dopey: Just a couple of tenths off, but every thing counts in a very tight packed mid field. đź‘Ť :scared:

Dang it! Wanted to do my 2nd stint yesterday but life happened again. Have to wait and see if i can squeeze in another session on sunday or a banzai on monday. But for now its of to the eifel for a nice weekend away with my swmbo.

Not bad, I saw pictures of the tourist entrance to the Schleife and it was all white over there.
Never mind Kevin, there will always be another WRS combo.

Yeah its quite white here. We drove through belgium and around spa it was very white
 
Should be getting a PS4 tomorrow* so expect some splits from me over the weekend. On the other hand the G29 is set to arrive between Wednesday and Friday, so expect them to be comedy splits from which I won't submit a lap. :lol:

*Unless Sony instantly bricks pre owned ones, or something. I doubt it, but does anybody know differently? And GT Sport, no online code or anything? Don't want to buy both 2nd hand and be shafted, although Sony probably only really worry about whether they can get me to have a PS Plus subscription. :lol:

Try the motion controls until you get your wheel. Way better and smoother than using the stick.
 
Great I was starting to get fed up with the daily already I prefer events to last a week at least so the WRS came at the right moment and what a field off participants đź‘Ť And a great excuse to ready learn a new track and a new car :)

Struggling to get consistence in T1 and need to find speed in T2. That first corner after T1 is so freaking important to get a good second sector. And that bustop ruined some laps, Daytona Deja Vu :ouch::lol:

Anyone doing the busstop flad out?

Wow what an enormous turnout for the TT so far, great to see the WRS back in action.
Thanks to @Antares26 for letting me know we were back and after a good chat yesterday, decided to give the TT a go and after a couple of hours I wasn't too happy with where I'd landed, had another go today and the numbers look better but I barely improved with a average S3. Very happy though to be near enough to the top guys on a new platform, although if I could get to that tantilising optimal lap I'd be very very happy, but looks like this is as far as I can get. Even though we are on a new game, I'm still not a fan at all of the stock differential settings, as much as things change, some things just stay the same lol.

Re: @DTM on the bus-stop, been flat a couple of times but very infrequently, sometimes it just rotates and you feel it go without the need of a lift. Wish I knew what it was so I could go flat every lap lol, but I suspect the top guys will be flat on their best laps.

Took off about a second overall finding out I could get back on the power much sooner in many places where I was being conservative.
Struggling with accuracy in the first bits of T2, don't think I've taken it the same way twice yet. :boggled:

I forget, is it ok to discuss T3 tactics as long as times aren't involved? :confused: Didn't see a yea or nay in the OP.
 
YEA. Talk about that final corner as much as you want because I suspect some of us suck at it (me) and welcome all tips. ;)
My technique was to work out the perfect braking point and then forget it or miss it every single time I was on a good lap.
Seriously though the braking point moved around from 120 to 130m depending on how good of a run you get out of the bus stop, the better lines usually sent you a bit deeper on entry than you think you want, but so long as you get it back to the apex it ends up straightening the exit up allowing you to hold full throttle through the exit.

This... I’ve had the best luck with a wide corner entry aiming for a later apex than I normally would to get on the power earlier without swinging wide on exit.
