It's a great turnout! but look at this one.. http://wrs.gtplanet.net/GT5/results/2/

Hopefully as the weeks unfold we can see something like those numbers again 👍
And week 1 of GT5 was even bigger, 175.

We are closer to the game launch with this iteration of WRS. We had a long qualifier leading up to week 1. And the game released in November, we did not have the qualifier posted until New Years, and the first event deadline was in February, 3 months after the release of the game. Biggest issue on that game was that we initially did not have a strong means of detecting SRF (Skid Recovery Force) which was the main reason for the long delay.

We ended up using a fixed game event that had it turned off for the qualifier (SLS AMG Mercedes and Nurburgring, in long partial track sectors).

And the first week of WRS used a PD organized time trial that limited PP, HP and did not allow SRF.

We eventually cracked the code (literally), which made things more flexible in terms of event organization.

I am not sure if GT Sport will get to GT5 type numbers. I think the population is dispersed across other game platforms, and I also think the Sport Mode events are more captivating for folks than the base game made available on other franchise platforms.

But I guess we will see. :)

This may be a small bug, but when watching my best lap replay my time was .004 faster than what it originally was and what the replays says it is. Just something to keep in mind when verifying replays.

The time stamp on the load screen in the library is the official lap time.

I can see a couple of places that I can make up a few tenths, but actually doing it is proving difficult & hitting the times some of you are seems impossible so my final submission is:-

37.441
35.077
Everybody has to start somewhere. We all did. The most important thing is to have fun and improving yourself one small step a time and climbing the ladder will automatically be an result of your effort. Just keep practicing.
