Alea iacta est - my cars are all set up. I'm looking forward to some enjoyable races with three cars pretty much unknown to me.

Just had half an hour to used 919 evo to race the autopolis one, this car has massive understeer on default setting, and had to set brake bias to +5, just as an fr car to reduce the front tires wear. RM 7 laps and RS for 3 laps, just an easy win.

1. I begun with the Integra Type R, it was pretty easy.
2. A bit more difficult with the second race, I used a mini cooper with a tune that makes it like a cup car. You can find the tune on HSG Automotive's youtube channel. It was easy getting to third, but a bit of a fight getting above that, so some "Creative driving" was needed.
3. I next used the FT-1 GT3 with the vision GT championship, honestly, this race could do with being about 4 laps instead of 7.
4. Finally, I used the Viper GT3 with the one make race.

I did give the WTC900 race a try with the 908 HDI but I just couldn't get close. I don't deal well with these sorts of races.

Really making us work hard for the money this week.

Eiger🤮, Autopolis🤮 , VGT 🤮 , Viper 🤮 and as a bonus Trial Mountain which is a great track, but absolutely does not work in reverse IMO.

Anyway. Did it all in one go. Now back to doing fun stuff.

I did most of the weekly races with ABS turned off and I was surprised how dynamic and realistic it made braking and cornering feel. For example, here is a big rear lock up I had which felt super immersive:

I think I will continue to run ABS off for future weeklies, and for credit grind races

Really underwhelming set of events this week, I feel. Same goes for the prizes. My choices for cars were also pretty boring, as a result.

Can never go wrong with a Type R. Stock except for weight reduction, did the job as well as it could. Easy 100k.

Eiger Nordwand_.jpeg

Couldn't remember the last time I drove the Fiat 500. With some light tuning, the agility makes it perfect for Eiger. Actually not bad, maybe the most fun out of all the races.

Kyoto Driving Park - Yamagiwa_.jpeg

I'm not sure why, the car was understeering like crazy. I think I needed to probably tune the downforce and suspension a bit more. I still won the race with it, but it was not fun.

Trial Mountain Circuit Reverse_.jpeg

I tried this race with the 02 Viper and failed miserably. I gave up and just used my maxed out Viper for it and made it easy. Meh. Very uninteresting for a Special Event. Come on, a unique Sunday Cup style race is more fun than this.

I accidentally used a tune for a different track here. Made it understeery as hell. Managed to do it with no pits with RM tyres at FM6. No rain, thankfully. But still pretty uninteresting otherwise.

Come on, PD! You can come up with more fun races and prizes than these. I did them for the 800k, but oh my, maybe should have just done the Le Mans 700pp again.

That was a nasty Autopolis race if I've ever seen one. Starting 40 seconds behind, running on a no stopper strategy picking off the AI one by one and getting heavily slowed down by them, doing 1'41s for the first three laps thanks to basically no room to pass and not gaining on the lead at all, actually getting left further behind. Then a straight row of six 1'38s with clearer track, all but one of the leading pack pitting after lap 8 and only one left, OK he's going to pit coming onto the final lap and I'm two seconds behind, no problem - EXCEPT OH 🤬 HE'S NOT WE HAVE A RACE HERE - fortunately still 17% fuel in the tank, on to fuel map 1 on tyres that are way more dead than alive, and oh yes I'm going to win this no matter how. Which I did and with the CRB to boot.

Does someone know how to spell R-A-B-B-I-T?

I hate Eiger. i hate VGT's. I hate going the wrong way around a track.... The first and last races are okay though.
At least the switchbacks on Eiger were downhill. I really hate it the other direction. This week is my favorite of the VGT races. I normally use the Lexus because it's easy to convince myself I'm driving a real car.

Hmmm, I have 98M credits in the bank and all the prices are for credits.... The races are also rather boring. I'll probably do the viper race because it is the only unique one.

I mean its literally just a Racing car with a fancy show livery (Same goes for the Toyota FT1 Vision Gran Turismo). That, along with it having the overtake button, is why I always use it (Especially when those all-electric VGTs show up to annoy me).

No pitstop is the way to go with Autopolis. Used sauber c9 without pitstop. It wasnt easy ,cause i made some small mistakes ,but won it by 4 secs at the end.

Japanese FF Challenge 450: Honda Integra Type R. Pretty much easy peasy.
European Sunday Cup 500: Radical SR3 SL. Forgot this even exists in the game and after using it, gonna drive it more often. Fun
Vision Gran Turismo Trophy: Lexus LFLC GT Vision Gran Turismo. The usual stopping of those pesky Electric VGTs. As you were.
World Touring Car 900: Honda NSX-Concept GT. One-Stopper as per usual, though the left front takes a beating around here.
Dodge Viper One-Make: Dodge Viper SRT GT3-R. Way more trickier then I was expecting.
