Had another 100 miles last night but was too tired to be effective. Threw away a 49.3 by making an absolute Horlicks of the chicane to end up 0.01 behind my current lap.

Not sure I'll get another chance to run. Good luck all

Just wondering if this would be clean or not, I've tried many times and as far as I'm aware this is the furthest I go. As long as my car's in contact with that thin strip of tarmac it's clean right? Or do I need contact with the white line?

It's not my call to make, but I would say that it is legal. In the first post it is specified that "Tarmac and Rumble Strips are Track", and the white line is not mentioned.

Things were different in the first part of the qualifier where the outer edge of the wheel had to stay inside the inner edge of the white line. I think this was a special case, since the second part of the qualifier didn't have this rule.

So this is just my interpretation of the rules, but I would be surprised if the stewards give a different answer.

Does it clean or dirty?

Submitted the replay, let's see how much far I went.

@Carlos Fandango Did you remember you asked me on the Registry Thread if i was going to make just a 90-minutes attempt? Well, because I have lot of things (more important) to do, i gave it just a 25 minutes...

About the clean or dirty... Well, i don't think there are any issues in this time trial, as the game itself will unvalid your lap if you don't have at least 2 tires in the "track" and here there aren't concretes like in Brands Hatch.

Was hoping to get a few more runs in, as my pb sectors would knock more than .6 off overall.

Unfortunately, I also need to decorate my "man-cave", as my new wheel has turned up, and my seat is arriving Soon.

I really hope my sector 3 time is reasonable. Otherwise, I am set for a tumble down the board.

In fact you can get a dirty lap on apricot hill without having a redlap from the game, at the chicane in t3 at least :)

sometimes when you pause the game and the tires are right on the edge, make sure you take a photo in photomode, when its really close the tires will be completly in the grass when the photo is taken, but still on the curb when looking around. :)

If someone have a lap really close to being dirty, it worth taking a photo to make sure before submitting :)

Mmh, I don't know... In that chicane on I just cut it one time in a really light manner and... I got redlap... Anyway, in the replay i've submitted, i cutted with the right tires in the right-part of the chicane but left tires were 100% on the curb as I went on that turn more from behind than Napalm (did the left-right steer later to avoid cut the left-part and in fact in that I barely touched the curb)...

I had a lap that i knew it was really close at the chicane, it was not redlap, in photomode just looking around the front tire was less than a inch still on the curb, wich is not dirty, but after taking the photo i could see grass between the tire and curb :) its a glitch in photomode but it would be considered dirty by WRS rules.

It happened in GT5 and look like its the same thing in GT6, its just something to be careful when running on the edge 👍

Just submitted but got this error.

Any ideas?
Another member was having this problem as well. Joost and I are looking into it. Can you add us to your conversation where you got that failure?

Had a good go so far today, probably have 2 more goes but as I've finally had time, I've worked out where I was going wrong! So some solid times have been set for myself now consistently. Tell you what though if you nail that hairpin in Sector 2 the time you can gain is quite remarkable! I nailed my sector 3 with these 2 splits, have been faster in sector 1/2, still not hit a 48.7xx though! I know I can hit that, but can and do are 2 different things :)!

I want to find 2 tenths which should be doable to get a laptime I'd be happy to submit with anyway! Otherwise I'll be submitting with a less than happy lap!

What a great start to WRS-GT6 and a real grounding for me trying and failing to sustain momentum to improve. Up until last Sunday, my efforts were rewarding and my splits steadily improved. A disjointed week has not helped me at all and chasing that new, and highly improved imho, ghost-line was a little frustrating.

I've had one last go today but haven't been able to beat any of my previously submitted splits and so I move on.

I don't think I'm going to do very well this week... I hate being this discouraged.

Yep, perseverance is our slow but assured friend!

Here's hoping for a top 50 finish. :nervous:

Sometimes having a couple days break from things can get you back to the groove, but this time it's done the opposite. Now I feel like I've never even touched the combo before. Nonetheless, I'll still try to put a good lap together today, it's okay if I don't see one, as I've gotten a lap that I'm decently satisfied at, it's not perfect, it's "sector" time is like .3 slower than my current one on the leaderboards, but it's still the best lap I've been able to put together. Yet, knowing how much that lap could be improved with a better T2 kind of forces me to not give up just yet.

I'll be submitting a replay tonight, whether it be a new improved lap, or my old best one, I know I've given this TT my best. As my first ever WRS, I have to say I've had a blast. I've had my ups and downs, gotten from frustration to joy, and I've seen splits that I thought I'd never be able to see. Setting goals to yourself and eventually reaching them is a really satisfying feeling.

Anyways, good luck to everyone on the last stretch of this TT!

I'm not sure that I understand correctly what you are saying, but your splits on the board are supposed to be from your best lap, not from the lap with the best T2.

Sorry if I didn't make much sense, not much sleep and being quite drunk on friday night has taken it's toll on my brains. The splits on the board are from my previous best lap, which I have beaten, just haven't posted new splits yet as I'm giving it this evening to see if I can still improve it.

Might aswell post new splits to avoid further confusion:

24.108
49.141

This'll be my final one unless something spectacular happens during the next 2 hours.

Also sorry for double post, not sure if editing the splits to a post will "trigger" fetchbot.

E: Also I seem to be horrible at math, seeing that my sector time is actually just a bit over .1 slower than on the previous best lap, not quite .3. Oh well, I blame my brains on that one too.

Submitting with these from a couple of days ago:

I intended a good session today to try and find that last 0.2 but it seems I've forgotten how to do the first 2 sectors and am getting frustrated with it. Great combo and was loads of fun but I lost touch with it at some point during the week and never quite got it back. Still an ok lap though and I hope it doesn't leave me too far off the pace. :nervous:

Good luck everyone - a very successful first week for GT6.

Same thing happened to me once I missed a couple of days doing this combo. I know I left well over 1 second out there on the final. I am rather a little upset over it because I hit low t1s and t2s but never could string them into a faster lap then what I did early last week...

I might give this one another go if I can find time but my final submission is in as of now. Good luck to everyone with their results :-)

Submitted my time, not happy with it but for now it will pass. Also it was my first time, looking forward to the FXX TT.

Much healthier T2 and gained 0.1 at the line, seen a few more decent T1s so hopefully I can string it all together.
