Just viewed your reply. Nice lap too!

GTP_Roomboter = CLEAN! 👍

Thanks for checking and the compliment.

Believe there are only a few NTSC replay to be checked, as far i can see. I'm on PAL

I still can't manage to view replays for the life of me, I just can't get it to work. There are a few of them I would like to verify to do my part in the reviewing process, but I'm having trouble with it. Perhaps a step by step might help me out a lil, so any help would be appreciated.

And by the looks of it, my replay has yet to be verified, Page 16 Post #313, If anyone can verify it, thanks

GTP_ragnar666: Clean 👍

You're right. Seems like no-one had checked it. Definitely a green flag lap so all good.

Cheers mate thanks, will try and get around to checking some of my own soon but its hard for me as my USB ports on my computer are in a hell of a hard ot get to place and it requires alot of stuffing around to get to them lol.

Wish they was an easier way to watch replays :(

Here's my replay for week 1. Had a slight heart-attack when I didn't find my replays in the saved game utility at first. Little did I know that you have to export them first from inside the game...

Man, I hate tuning and setup work...and it shows. Should probably have installed the rigidity improvements after all, right?

Will have major fun coming in at the end of my division though anyway!! :sly:

Also, great lap. Loved your sliding, and IIRC you were really close to losing it at the end!

Thanks for the review Gravitron! 👍 You're definitely right about the end. I figured I was borked for sure, but then I "photomoded" the heck out of the replay and was relieved to see it conformed to the shots posted in the thread.

So that's how you do a fast lap. Great lap to watch mate 👍

Post #198 if somebody PAL can verify.
Thanks Alex

Clean lap.

I also tried to watch abrunet85 lap but since he changed the folder name the result is corrupted data. Mate, try to name the zip file after the compression and I'll gladly check your replay.

  1. 1. Open Zip File here on GTP.
  2. Find Folder with Long Name that starts with "BCUS" (For NTSC Disk Versions). Sometimes people will post this as the main folder, sometimes it will be a subfolder. If you don't see it right away, start double clicking until you find it.
  3. Copy Folder (Right Click)
  4. Find your upload folder on your Flash Drive (Main Folder PS3/Sub Folder SAVEDATA).
  5. Paste the Copied Folder into the SAVEDATA Subfolder. Your own replay and game save will most likely be in the folder as well. If your replay has the same name as the one you copied, you will need to delete it.
  6. Put the Flash Drive in Your PS3
  7. Go to the Saved Data Utility (PS3) Under the "Game" Heading of the XMB Menu (Without Game Loaded)
  8. Go into the USB Drive Folder (Top of the List)
  9. Find the Replay, press the triangle button while highlighting it. Choose Copy. There is most likely a copy of a replay with the same name on your main account, so it's a good idea to use a secondary account to do this.
  10. Once the replay is copied, load the game and go into the Replay Theater
  11. On the left side of the screen there are a few small, selectable buttons. One of those is "Import Data". Press X While highlighting that button, and find the replay you copied to the account. Select the Replay by Pressing X, to "Import" to the game.
  12. At this point, the replay should be selectable and viewable in replay theater.
Important to remember, you can only do this with replays of those who use your same game version (For you, typically people who are in North America, sometimes people in South America). Europe and Australia/New Zealand use PAL. There is a separate NTSC version for Asia.

If you get stuck, let us know which step you are stuck on, and we should be able to help you through it.

It seems quite some replays are posted but not checked.

I checked these old ones, checked on special event and 2 tires on track:
GTP_UsualSuspect

In Portuguese, the special event looks a bit different 300PS, but I believe OK.

I tried but failed to verify Kumbar (PC copy issue), RedReevos (Copies but goes to another GT5 Folder that I can not load).

Comments: I gather you're using a DS3? I imagine the Camaro was perfectly horrible to drive with a controller... but a few things to keep in mind.
Brake early and only once - vital to learn your braking point for each corner.
Try and stick to one line through the corner and learn where in the corner you can get on the power without spinning the rear wheels. Essentially try and do every part of the cornering process only once - braking, turning in, accelerating and straightening up. Smoother is faster - it may feel slow but if the tyres start to slide too much, you're losing time. 👍 It is a clean lap anyway :)

Thank you Vagabond. Both for checking my replay, and also for your tips on how to improve

Very smooth! Great time.

Thanks man! I appreciate the check.

I'll go and grab a random one, and check it tonight..

What about using a 'check the guy after you' system, where you post up your replay in the thread, and then PM the guy who beat you that it's up to be reviewed? They 1) don't have any reason to screw with you because they're already faster, and 2) keeps the load spread across everyone.

Would that work? I have no problem verifying a replay, but not knowing which one to choose gives me decision paralysis :dunce:

Seems like great advice, and worded well. For some reason, both on DS3 and DFGT, I tend to pump the brakes multiple times, I guess mostly for hairpins.

Paralysis over. Check mine:

Thanks for the step by step EDK

But my problem is that I cant seem to unzip the file. I either get a message saying that it's corrupt (even my own zipped replay), or that there aren't any files inside.

thankyou douqa any coments?

Yeah, slow down a bit. Its not a race....oh wait.
Seriously though taking it a bit more steady would have probably got you a better time. Your fast entry to the hairpins cost you time as the car understeered in and you had to wait for the front tyres to regain grip before the car was pointed and you could accelerate out. In this combo you needed to oversteer into the tight corners if you had a fast approach. 👍
