GTP_WRS Week 1 : Official Results

I'm just using the "pick a random one" process that I've seen others use.

This review process is VERY tedious, much respect to those who will be doing this week after week. I realized when tried to change the names of the Replay directory names that it causes "Corrupt Data" to show in the XMB. I was renaming them so I could do them all in one go, but I ended up having to do each separately, which means stopping and restarting GT5 for each one. :ouch:

"This review process is VERY tedious" As you rightly say it is, this was also found in GT5p a few of the members did. Multiple replay checks too like yourself, I would suggest that if a member are going to take the time to pass comment on the performance of themselves and others, use the same couple of minutes to check a replay and add your comments to that same post.

This would help Admin and other members to speed up the overall workings of WRS. 👍

Phillip.

Something that may help is this. Please view and leave comment plus vote.

Here is my replay. Hope it works.

I have checked GTP_mcfizzle's lap.

Correct time and clean. Looks to have all other specs correct. Replay size 164 KB.

Great control and very clean in the blue car with blue rims.

I tried to download 5 replays last night and they were all replay #001.
I can't load the replays to the USB stick more than 1 at a time.
Can I change the replay # and still have a valid replay to view or will it be corrupt?

My replay is post # 269.

Try re-naming the last number to 2, the next file to 3, etc. I had one yesterday that ended in 3. N/P with it.

EDIT: Nevermind, it corrupts the file.

I've tried the same Kenny. If you find replays with different names, you can do more than 1 at a time. But don't try renaming them, the file will become corrupted.

One thing we can all do to make it easier on our fellow participants - I understand the desire to keep things "clean". But maybe wait until the end of the week before cleaning up all of your other replays from that WRS, rather then overwriting every time you improve? There's inherent risk in overwriting every time anyhow. What if you think the new run is clean, but it really isn't?

This will still be random, but it at least gives us a shot at ending up with some different replay numbers.

I'm guessing you'd need to export earlier replays before your submitted ones to make the names different when copying to a USB.

I use a different PSN account to check the replays as I've had this problem in prologue before, if you have more than one account it's probably the best way.

I do the above and also use a different account to review on. Less confusion for me. :dunce:

I ASLO use a different account.

The issue we're talking about is when you go to upload replays from multiple users, and they all have the same name, you have to take them one at a time. This requires reloading the game for every replay checked, making it a VERY tedious process.

Ah I see, I misunderstood there. It's a pain because the game takes so long to load, not sure if there's much you can do about it though other than your suggestion for people to save a few replays.

I haven't run into that yet, but I'm sure I will. I do see where that could be very time-consuming.

I am pretty sure I renamed the one I downloaded from xxxxxxx0001 to xxxxxxx002 and it worked fine. The game just reads is as "Replay[002]" instead of "Replay[001]"
👍

*Try this at your own risk. I'll double check that it works when I get home today.

It's also possible that I renamed the replay I already had on my stick to accomodate the new one, but when I grabbed the replay off the stick, none of the files showed as "corrupted."

The issue could be that I only renamed the folder, and not any of the files it contained.

That said, I've never had much luck when messing around with these files on the PC. Even with Prologue, which was slightly less complicated, trying to rename these was an issue.

That is visible, however I suspect you got that message because you needed to submit a replay for the Qualifier and haven't done so.

Hmm ok it didn't specify about the qualifier, i also never got a PM originally asking me for a Qualifier replay i was under the impression we only had to submit a qualifier replay if we were PMed?

I have no drama submitting a replay for the qualifier but i have no idea who to send it to.

The PM was a mass PM so maybe the person sending it just got a list from the front page and had assumed I hadn't submitted yet because it still says replay needed near my name on the first page (im assusming this is because no one has checked it yet??)

Vince_Fiero
Hello,

Did you see you have to create a zip and submit for WRS1.
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=184120
I understand it is an inconvenient effort, but the Administrators do not like it when you fail to provide requested evidence.

Cheers and fun in GT5,

Vince

I can't remember what I did.

It's also possible that when I renamed the previous file to allow the copy of the d/l file, it actually DID corrupt it, but doesn't show up in the USB save data menu as corrupted, in which case I wouldn't have known it was corrupt because I haven't since tried to watch that replay. Will explore when I get home.

Indeed, I was just trying to get as many as possible finally legal times in Division 2.
Got some similar messages from others so might try to check those so there is progress on the "replay needed".

My replay is post # 269.

Hey, thank you for checking it and the comments.👍 I didn't feel under control, but watching the replay it looks a lot smoother than it felt. Big thanks to dranddad, as I switched to his set-up on Friday.

GTP_ragnar666: Clean 👍

You're right. Seems like no-one had checked it. Definitely a green flag lap so all good.

You can't just rename folders; the replay number is also stored in the files. If you open the SFO file (I think that's the extension, it's 4KB) in a text editor there are 2 places that say the number, but I've even tried changing them and still got corrupted data. I encourage others to investigate 'cause we could save a lot of time if we figure it out.
