Last couple of laps from me. Completed about 375 kms/miles whichever it records in the odo.

Will submit shortly, as I am now going on holiday for a week. Typical, as the new TT is no tuning, which I am better at.

Good luck all.

Just a reminder to team captains to PM me who your driver is for this week. Thanks and see you at the finish line!

Just managed a lap which was 3 tenths quicker than my previous best, but in the first part of the chicane in the third sector it is so close to being dirty, like less than a millimeter close, I decided to not take the risk and just ignore this lap.
Hopefully I'll find some time tomorrow for a final session, because I'm really enjoying this week's combination. This is definitely in my top 3 of WRS events so far. :)

I wasn't able to put nearly enough time into this one, today was my first session since Tuesday. And straight away I realized my posted splits are just *slightly* dirty. So I went out and beat that lap by almost 1sec and it's easily clean. :)

I was about to rejoice about being back in the 1-second club, and then I saw Ramon's splits. đź‘Ť WOW!

I only managed to get 150km in this week and this is all I could muster but I had a lot of fun doing it, thanks for another great combo!

After further review and being reminded of the white line rule by my team mate Joe, my best laps were dirty. There are places on the track where you can be on a rumble but over the white line. I was just paying attention to the 2 chicanes and not the rest of the track. Just posting this as a reminder to anyone who was making the same mistake I was as to what constitutes a clean lap:dunce:.
  • Tarmac and rumble strips beyond/behind the white line are NOT part of the track
  • The white lines (dotted and solid) are legal and part of the track. Two wheels must be on, or in line with the white line at all times
I will post revised splits when I get a clean lap.

Thank you Lucas, now I've renamed the chicanes to "The Gravitron chicanes of Ascari" :P
 Fair enough. đź‘Ť

The Admins have discussed it and we're fed up with the white lines in the chicanes as well. Next time we're at Ascari we will try something different for boundaries. For the upcoming online race we have opened up the boundaries to make the concrete in the chicanes legal.

I'll second that. I put together what was for me the perfect lap and on replay showed I missed the second turn on the first chicane by fractions of an inch. I was never able to reproduce the T3 from that lap so my submitted time is .5 slower than that lap.

The irony of it all was that I was pretty slow through the chicane on that lap despite cutting the corner so it's not like that was what made the lap my best. What could have been :banghead:
