It's hard to get even 1 clean lap but the car is nice to drive and the circuit excellent.
But those chicanes you may not cut grrr

Lot's of driving to do in the weekend.

I'm done, submitted the lap I posted splits for earlier. It was a bit of a struggle, never really got comfortable with this combo.

Steve, you're insane.

EDIT: And you pushed me out of the 1sec Club!

Sorry lol

I don't know what it's is I just seem to dial in to this track every session and find that tiny bit more time .
There still more time to gain in t1 I've had a 40.3 a few times with a inch perfect 1st chicane.

Not a problem, glad it could help 👍

I've tried beating my current lap and although I did beat it once, I just missed having the second chicane clean...that chicane makes a huge difference to the final lap time too! I keep wondering how people are able to get a whole second better than me at T1 and I can only conclude it's mainly at that first chicane where courage is rewarded with a great T1...I might try getting braver there next session but it's tough work

Now that I can get decent t1s and don't have to hit restart 50% of the time, lap times are getting better. I have had some 31.6s, but seem to mess them up in t3, still I think I can get a few more tenths.

41.084
1'31.750

Better by 4 tenths at the line.

They somehow manage to carry more speed through the chicane than we do...even on a lap where I get as good a chicane as I feel I can, I am still only getting to a .2 in S1. It's also just general greater corner speed through the rest of the corners as they just release the throttle slightly whereas I (and I'm sure you as i think I remember you saying you use x/[]) have to release it fully before reapplying...i could manage to release slightly with the x button but it's too much hassle. I usually manage both chicanes clean but mess up elsewhere.....I was 4 tenths ahead of my best ghost coming into the penultimate corner of the lap...carried too much speed in and lost control.

I am still continuing to try and find the right set up. I have taken @skyline1683 advice and focused my set up for S1 and S3...it just figures that doing that led me to match my PB S2 for the first time in 3 days . I had a 32.3 S2 split yesterday so I know the time is there and I have more time there. This combo is highly rewarding and frustrating at the same time...I love it :D

Had another try and I have a save that has slower splits but made .1 at the line... some of you guys are super fast on this combo, Well done those splits are damn good for your best saved lap
I can match them now and then but getting them in my best save just doesn't want to happen 👎 every time I stuff it after a massive lead at T2... I have 2 more days to keep plugging at it :D here's the splits from my save...

40.667
1'30.884

I need a save .2 faster at each split to feel it will be competitive as my final section is a bit like a drunk running through a shopping center aisle :P I'll be back 👍
Good luck to all still running this :)

It's going better now just 1 dirty lap and the others clean and faster lap by lap so I have fun now driving this combo.
Just had to get used to drive through the chicanes.
42.166
1'34.333
There still is room for improvement. 👍

Hmmm, I'm very surprised my splits stood up so well this week as I didn't think I did that well in my first couple of tries.

Guess I'll have to have another go!!

This combo is not a great one for me. Not there is anything wrong with it, but I don't find it very comfortable. But it's awesome to see it just click for some folks :) @skyline1683, I'm talking about you, you're just killing this one 👍

Now I'm off to find the magic line that Steve and the D1 guys have through that first chicane :boggled:

There is a big chasm between those doing sub 41s in T1 and the rest of us. After position 7 on the Leaderboard, the times gradually increase. Between positions 7 and 8 there is a whopping .6 difference in times thru T2. I could run this round the clock til submission time and not make up one more position, although I think I can improve slightly, which might pay off for team competition.

Edit I probably need a little better time, as when @Gravitron looks at the leaderboard he will be freshly motivated to run some more laps.

Thanks mate it's not all me thou my setup is a lot to do with it and also my mate been helping me with gear selection and shift points on parts of the track.

I wouldn't say all my time is coming from the first chicane if anything it's the left/right on to the mini straight and in to the right hander just before the T1 line.

I feel my best sector is T3 from the moment I exit the 2nd chicane I'm flat out in 5th until the left hander on to the sweeping start finish line

Had to have a break for a hour come close to beating my time but falling just short of it by 0.011.

Hi All ,

40'407
1'30.557

OK, next go. Got 4 tenths at the line and did a LOT of replay reviews :yuck:

41.150
1'31.800

And close but clean in the 1st chicane:

Well after having found no time to run this again this week i had a couple of free hours this afternoon only to find my wheel has died on me! Tried a few laps with the DS3 but couldnt improve as just couldnt get used to it after using nothing but the wheel. So looks like i wont be submitting this w:banghead:eek.
Quite annoying as theres definatley loads more time for me as i made no adjustments to suspension etc and the fact ive only had the wheel for 4 months! on the other hand i did buy it second hand for only £40 and got lots of use out of it! Just means il have to make an earlier than expected uprgrade which is no bad thing i guess! :sly:

Anyway good luck to everyone running! Superb combo!

Having a weird day today..have 3 times gone faster than previous laps, yet they've all come on lap 1 of a session as I stop to check each fast lap so I don't lose any laps. On laps where I am quicker over the s/f line to begin the lap, it goes wrong somewhere . Anyway, regardless of that, have improved my overall lap since yesterday by 5 tenths and still dialing my set up in:

S1: 41.367
S2: 1:32.517

I have the same problem. I can be 4 - 5 mph faster at the line and get a worse time thru sector 1. I need to adjust my braking point some I guess, but my best sector 1s have come on lap 1.
