Can I ask where people are shifting gears? Peak HP for this car is supposedly at about 6,500rpm and peak torque is at 5,000rpm...it just feels too low in the rev range to be shifting...are others' shifting around those ranges? Do I trust the figures GT is pumping out? Do you go by feel more?

I've not paid much attention to rpm much in the past except I noticed it made a BIG difference in Week 6 with the Focus @ Brand's Hatch, just wondering if this week is a bit like that???
I shift between 71 and 73. Usually when the red lamp blinks.

I really feel pressure...because today or maybe tomorrow (if I'm lucky) is the last possibility to made a good time....haha
and there is sooo much to improve..

May I add further to your pressure please? :D. I have seen a 41.5 S1 and a 1:31.8 S2 and my PB's combined are a .5...and I see much room for improvement so, if you plan to beat me, you best get a move on . Sorry but I'm in an evil mood today :mischievous:

I hope I can repeat my 1:31:3xx today :) and friday im in the "holy land", so I will try to pray that I will stay 1st in the divison...

Well using your initial settings and Kev's gears I beat that first lap that you shared with us!

41.167
91.767

Kev's gears helped a lot, more than I expected 👍

Just like the man trying to stick it to the little guy. WE WILL NOT CONFORM TO YOUR AREODYNAMICAL WAYS! We will not bite the hand that feeds us, but rise against the hand that holds our head underwater! We will persevere, not as grip based drivers flowing smoothly with the racing line, but as the traction-fighting-rubber-slingin'-sideways-slidin drivers that we are! Can i get an amen!?
Yes! But not from me. I gave up. I am of the downtrodden masses. :nervous:

So far I've managed to drop about 7 seconds from where I started. Yep, 7, with a...7. :odd: Of course most of that is certainly due to getting a tune on it that wasn't mine. :D

I have seen 41.6 T1 but can't figure out the second sector. Still in mid 1'33s.

Yeah, this one is a difficult one to nail down....get a set up which works in S1 but it doesn't in the other sectors etc. Sector 2 is all about smoothness as well as speed.

Finally started to get some faster times nailed down in one lap but still a way off my PB sectors but am confident of further improvement...it feels like this week may be my best chance at a podium on either the Leaderboard or final laps:

S1: 41.406
S2: 1:32.690

Edit: Yay....Green is my favourite colour.....no, honestly it is

Thanks mate :)
If only i could get a whole lap together with a good t1.. saw a few .7's there but always screwed up t3 then

Same for me I've had a few .5s in t1 and 30.8s in t2 but I'm on the limit in t3 and the rear likes to get a bit loose in that section

I'm really start to hate the chicanes I can improve my lap go to check the ghost only for me to have to discard it for one wheel being millimetres from touching.
At full speed it looks clean but pause at apex and it's dirty must have chucked 20 odd laps away

Just 20? Must be nice

Better S1, much worse S2, still better at the line:

41.950
1'33.567

If I don't gain half a second more on S2 until Monday I will be punching myself.

Second session for me, I changed the downforce to 20 but apart from that my settings remain the same from my previous session:

41.684
1'32.634

For a decrease of 2.2 seconds at the line! I still think there's heaps to gain. I want to have a try with a super stiff and low suspension set up but for now I'm pretty happy with this 👍
