GTP_WRS Week 11 : Sweeping Willow

Plenty of frustration to go around. This combination is dream to drive, but putting all the sectors together is proving near impossible. My opt time tells me that I still have .2 to find, but I'm not sure I'll ever find it (maybe I'm being too cute with a downshift in T5).

Did a better lap, though. (now 2.5 seconds better than my original lap)

It's funny how the WRS works for me.

At first when I saw the combo I saw it was Willow Springs and I hated that track with a passion. But yesterday I wanted to race. Since WRS WW race was on I thought well let's give it a go. After all you gotta learn something about the tracks you hate aswell. Well turns out i had a cracking race yesterday and i wanted to see how I would do offline and now i kind of start to actually like it

Finally I managed to do so on lap 50:

My fastest lap had one of the worst T1 times I had all week but T2 was average & T3 was awesome so hopefully it’ll be enough to gain me a few places on the results table. I hit this time after around 500 miles & now I’ve done nearly 1000 and not improved

Don't worry about the name change mate, it's all good. We don't do it the old way anymore and as long as when the time comes we can see a replay in the shares on the GT Sport server that matches GTP_Frank then it's all good 👍

Small improvement at the line but am now just swapping tenths between 1 & 2 but finally getting some consistency after the race yesterday. Still a long way from where I would like to be but have no clue how to get there

Weekend splits........191 miles today after none on Saturday......far too many restarts but found a little consistency eventually to improve both sectors a little and maintain S3 time.........

will continue the quest for consistent clean laps tomorrow rather than any 'banzai' laps...........

Very consistent in S1 now but S2 is tricky. My optimal has gone down another 3 tenths today and now I am a tenth off it so well happy. Gonna be close when S3 is revealed!

This is the first week that my submitted full lap time will have personal best times in 2 out of the 3 sectors...I am not going to try for the hat trick! I have reached and exceeded my goals for a Gr.3 class car and I absolutely love the Vette and Big Willow. 👍👍
