Times actieved in lap 7 so with no hybrid stuff.
I am using a G29 and the clutch for break pedal (no choice).
Is it me or is the no-ABS break pretty easy to use?

I'm confused:confused: I have a g29 (switched back to g27) but,why are you having to use the clutch as a brake. How can that work?

It was me that was confused. In pCars I use the clutch as break but on ps3/gt6 I have to switch back to using the official break pedal. My bad :)
Fact remains that it is not very difficult to drive the car without ABS.

Do you need to pump the brake pedal ? been trying it but not sure to pump or just a little less on the brakes

A second and a half at the line. This is getting seriously addictive.

Edit;

I drove it around Laguna Seca this morning in an online room and even after my hybrid power went out I was still running fast times. I'll test it later but I've seen no difference so far.
This is probably as Laguna Seca has more technical sectors than Nürburgring. The back and main straights are killers to cars without their KERS boost still running. It would make for an interesting round of GTPSS.

Try telling that to my lap time!! I'm lucky if I can manage 1 corner every 3 or 4 laps without locking up massively but then I don't have the option for gradual/cadence braking

Perhaps not difficult to drive but very difficult to master. If it ever feels easy chances are you're losing time.

No Abs? I'm in! :dopey: Lovely combo, not too fast, not too slow. 👍 For all struggling with braking try to dial down BB, i got it at 1/1 but might go down to 0/0, the car has strong brakes anyway. Rear brake bias seems to make the car pretty unstable, especially at turn 1.

Yes, so I'd suggest going with 1/0 to anyone struggling, less slides. I started with a slight rear bias and just couldn't drive smoothly. Still getting the occasional rear lockup even with 1/1.

Damn @mistersafeway, that's a quick T2. I personally haven't got a .4 yet, only a low .5. Still can't get the splits together though, pretty much as usual :P

Yeah, not sure how I did it, though.

I find with no ABS brake a bit earlier and let off brakes before turning in. Braking hard while turning does not work for me with 0 ABS. A bit of a skid is ok, but let off when it starts. The only place the no ABS is really noticeable to me is turn 1. And as said a very low BB with some front bias helps alot.

yet I sit here at work wondering how them aliens do it, visualizing the ideal lap :P can't wait for tonight to have another crack at it!

This looks like a great combo , cannot wait to give it a go . Recon this one will be more of a challenge and my nemesis being front wheel drive cars ....lol

I find some of the comments quite amusing people saying it's easy to drive without ABS , clearly not pushing hard enough ...HAHA

Anyway after the WRS race tonight I can start with this combo :)

Cheers

If you have experience driving karts, you would realise that the braking is pretty much, if not exactly the same. Do people brake like that in cars too?

Heck no, both our cars have ABS. My wife's Mazda has braking assist too. If you get to close to a car it starts braking for you.. it's a weird feeling when it starts slowing down and your foot isn't even on the brake pedal..

After 343 km's

A great combo, nothing better than hunting tenths all week..

How about race cars?

Not surprised  probably have TCS off, slick tires and the windscreen blacked out just to make it interesting.

There's no TCS to turn off, tires are quite well though. The anti roll bars aren't up to the task of holding it level on the Nordschleife.
