If you set brakes to 0, doesn't that mean zero braking force is applied? Sounds entertaining, will have to give it a try out of curiosity.

No.

Guys, is this legal?

My car shifts to the left when I take photos. Why? Also my lap isn't legal because if I take the photos I would have cut the first chicane and miss the barrier on the second chicane but if I take the ones where I haven't snapped the photo I don't cut the first chicane but I clip the barrier.

The final photo snapped is the ultimate evidence. Photo preview mode is not used when deciding clean/dirty.

Ok. Thanks for the info.

I think this combo is really fun and frustrating at the same time. Really challenging to put all splits together. I hope luck is on my side the next time I run this combo.

Changed the brake bias to 1/0 as suggested previously and can actually manage to, generally, brake without locking up so have not really had to change my driving style beyond releasing the brakes earlier...at least I have set a time that's within the same postcode as average now!!

S1: 42.494
S2: 1:09.944

I had another go have no idea what I'm doing wrong in S1 started using 1/0 BB the breaking is better but no improvement. It's weird S1 is one of my favourite parts of this track although i can never get turn 2 right all the time and when this track was in the arcade races I was killing everyone in that sector. another go this evening and we'll see

Wanted to see if i could get the .2 thats left in t1 and t2 but my new delhi belly is preventing me from doing that.

If you have experience driving karts, you would realise that the braking is pretty much, if not exactly the same. Do people brake like that in cars too?
Race car with no ABS is prone to lockup, especially a mid engined car like the MR2, with race brakes.

Braking points are much earlier, not to mention that you want to leave a small amount of room for error when your projectile weighs 2,000 lbs. I have driven cars with ABS on track, but you still have to manage it differently than on GT.

The difference is you can feel in the pedal a portion of what's going on, and once you set the front of the car, you can brake harder.

With no ABS on GT, you just have to learn, not feel the threshold. Frustrating.

Yep, in reality you feel it in the pedal before the wheels lock up. Would need a FFB system for the brake pedal to get the feel. I try to imitate this by listening to the sound the wheels make. DolbyDigital helps a lot to hear what wheel is about to be overdriven.

That aspect is actually a lot like the difference between feeling the car step out with your butt vs. feeling it in the wheel/force feedback. I think we're just used to doing that, and anticipating slides.

The Fanatec Clubsport pedals do have a vibration feature, but I ended up with the CSR elite pedals, since the Clubsport were on backorder when I got my wheel.

Would be cool, but I do only have a few days of experience in real race cars. Was a X-BowR at RBR, a Subaru Impreza in dirt, a Porsche 911 GT3 at Hungaroring and race Karts. The Porsche was too much for me though... Couldn't really send it to speed without spinning out and had to stop because the owner of the car got a bit angry about my tire killing
I'm just a seriously heavy addicted adrenaline junkie for life.
