My best lap from last night:

14.557
30.092

Completely forgotten how to take the first corner

Screwed up the last corner, on an otherwise very good T3

The grand result: only 2 hundredths up

My aim for this week is simply not to come last in my division, but considering who's above me so far, I don't like my chances

14.572
30.472

But only a small improvement overall. Was too cautious through final sector as I had a massive lead in the bag, only 5 hundredths up overall. :boggled:

Starting to see some 14.5s and managed to keep it together for 30.4 but lost .4 in the final sector.
Not giving up.

Edit: No point updating the splits for few hundredths but .2 gained at the line. All of it came from late apex of the right turn after T2 and good entry to the next sharp left.

I'm getting seriously addicted to this combo. The laps are so short that I keep saying "one more lap, one more". My best sectors combined are still .5 better than my PB. I want at least half of it.

Frustrating when i can't catch my ghost from Sunday. I've been ahead by well over a tenth going into t3, only to hit a wall or get passed on the final 2 corners. Either i have a wicked t3, or my title about the last sector holds true.

My theoretical best is a 29.979 at t2.. yea.. not happening.

lol my previous splits were on sports hard tyres

That seemed to matter most through the last sector though as I've since found .800 at the line with no huge improvement over sector 1 or 2.

I still have no idea how you guys get through the second sector so fast. I'm only losing about .1 in the first sector and I've had some great final sectors. But my best S2 was high 15.8 or low 15.9. Most of the time I'm close to 16.0

Anybody got some tips? Do you use brakes in the highspeed chicane (first two curves in S2)?

Ideally, I hug the left hand wall for quite a while, then chuck it to the right, hoping to hit the curb in that sweet spot between the wall and the point where it bounces the car to the outside. I think I dab the brakes a little(?). I will have to get on later and pay attention.
I go through ten lap periods where I nail it every time, then go 10 more where I clout the wall every time.

Interesting advice, I think that's where I'm losing time as well compared to the guys above and below me. I tend to brake quite hard (down to 75-80 mph), and only have about a 50% success rate at that corner, so tend to be quite cautious. That said, it does usually come down to line, so may try attacking a bit harder. I find the real key lies in getting the turn-in perfect for the sweeping left before it.

Edit: Just run another session changing sector 2 braking. Managed to get PBs on lap, S2 and S3 on a dirty lap. Had to revise target down by 0.2s (beat previous target that lap). Time to go chase that ghost, but he's gonna be tricky to keep up with!

Since my last posted splits, I had nothing until today, got a third off. Car went still on two w. in the second sector so maybe I can do some more. Especially as I after hundreds of km finally know how to hit the start line (and the first corner but that's less refined). Note the lamp post before "50".

Another decent improvement in sector 2 and a clean lap. Maybe up to 0.15s left on the track if I put together all my PBs. But very happy with this lap.

14.561

And we got a new rabbit to chase in D3 :)

:embarrassed: Beginners luck? Perhaps underqualified a bit, but I got addicted to this combo- spent over ten hours on it now compared to about 2-3 on each of the qualifiers. Also helps a lot having sector times to chase.

I also find this combo addictive and also spent about 10hrs so far. It would have to be a small miracle for me to reach 30.3 but not impossible. I'll see if I can give you something to chase after my session today :)

In an odd way, I kinda hope you do. I'm considering settling with that lap and doing some seasonals or signing up for some races. But an incentive to improve again would pull me back :D

Still can't string together all three sectors in proper order (T2 is slower than the last reporting), but almost 4/10ths faster overall:

14.801
30.818

I swear that this car gets better after a few wall slams.

jeez, i got serious work to do. Habe spent about 4.5 hrs in total on this now, my quickest is currently with a ds3, so sure i will find time with the wheel, but it is getting very frustrating chasing now at times.

I've apparently invented a new torture game. It goes like this

Red sector, red sector, restart.
Red sector, blue sector, wall.
Blue sector, blue sector, red sector.
Blue sector, blue sector wall.
Blue sector, wall, restart.
Wall, throw controller, curse game.
I know exactly what you mean, feels a bit like this:
