We're starting to have a pretty good idea of where your qualifier will put you ;)

Lol I wish. I did pretty bad on the brands hatch (I think) and I did pretty good on willow though. I'll know for sure later tonight how I did.. In all fairness, I shouldn't run anymore of this event. I ran both qualifiers for around 2 hours and went to each one on 2 different occasions.. i have about 3 hours in this one already, but that's because I didn't work today and had free time. After tonight, I wont have anymore free time until next weekend.

I guess it's ok to fit any wheel, even the +2inch ones? Looks like that's what was done to the one on the pics in the OP. If that's correct, will this always be the case, or will it be decided on a case by case basis? (i.e., some testing would have to be done to ensure lack of influence of wheel size.)

I hope so because I threw +2 rims on mine first thing.

Gained a bit in the first one, lost some in the other, but it did result in a slightly faster lap for me. I wonder if this is how far I can push it.

Finally I have an idea of how to hit 165 at the start (not the finish :odd:), which I had done more than a couple of times before.

Well, those of you who have been following my saga know that I am without my G27 since last night. So, tonight I reinstalled my wobbly DFGT (wheel can be moved up and down quite a bit and sideways, but not so much, because of a broken plastic part inside). Fortunately, all I had to do was pick it up from the floor besides the desk where I put it 11 months ago when I got my G27 (gf asked me back then "you're gonna put that away soon, I hope" -- HA! saved me a trip down to the basement, now, didn't it?)

It being wobbly is the least of my problems, though. The pedals are so loose, it's unbelievable! The chunk of Chuk's Magic Foam(TM) I had under the brake pedal has collapsed a bit so it's not quite as efficient anymore, I'm gonna have to find some more... I've tried only a few laps, and I see it could take a while before I can do as well as my current ghost... But I'll keep trying, I'm sure I would be even worse on the DS3, it's been too long.

On the plus side, I can honk the horn again :dopey:

Ouch. That makes 3 broken G27s just among us WRS'ers in the past week.

I don't know if Amazon's deal of US$229 on the G27 extends up to Canada, but I had to take advantage of that when my G27 started shaking wildly when I turned it right of center and I found I broke a tooth on the steering rack.

It's still under warranty, so I'll get a new one sent to me when they get mine (UPS picked it up this morning). And it wasn't really "broken", it's a problem that appeared gradually, the wheel would become off-centre after a while, especially during the week 1 combo, for example, where you have to turn the wheel quite a lot to take fast curves. I guess it would "slip" somehow, and I would have to calibrate it again.

No other tuning, custom parts, weight reduction, ballast adjustment, or chassis reinforcement are allowed. We can verify these things from the replays.

If wheels are listed under "custom parts", the +2 wheels seem like a definite NOPE to me...

Can we have a stewart clarification please? :)

Considering I have seen a 29.8xx in T1, this is hardly as fast as I can go, but this was the lap that I just absolutely nailed T3. Last week was the touchy throttle fxx, this week is the touchy steering bmw. I do enjoy how I can just thump laps around the track consistently with this combo though, quite fun!
