Dag-nabit. :banghead: I deleted the replay for the lap I submitted because I forgot to resubmit the faster lap time which I have a replay of. Sure would be nice if we could rename the replays that are in the replay folder.

Sorry mate you either never read the rules? or you never watched your replay back? but this doesn't need checking twice unfortunately..

Next event try to make the rumble strips the outer most point of your driving line please 👍

Will go check the remaining laps now

Yes, I see where you are coming from. I looked at the right-hander, is this the chicane at the end of the lap? It’s certainly beyond the kerb and would take a good argument to rule it ‘in contact’ or ‘above’.

Yes the very last chicane before the hairpin onto the straight 👍

View attachment 700438 This was the view I took on Be_Weis’ lap at 44.403

There were 2 replays for Iceman the one you looked at was actually the fast lap that he decided was doubtful and went with the slower run that was unfortunately even worse..feel really bad but I didn't really have any option but to call it bad..

Which replay are you watching? The time I submitted 100% has an off on the last chicane, saved it as a "fast end" ghost and submitted that time by mistake against my other backup replays.

I also uploaded the .6 replay, which maybe is what you're looking it. Your picture was where I was hung up as well, the tire is clearly on the other side of the rumble, but the sidewall definitely seems to be grazing the inside. Would be interesting to get the stewards views on that one - maybe save some debate in the future.

I'm no steward but I would have called that replay clean...really close but clean

been late lately with everything (except the early banzai run :D )

replay shared, checked twice if all ok, was not sure about first left of first chicane (after downhill) looked like car wants to cut short, but there was a slide to make it clean, all other turns are a novice-level-keep-on-track. ^^ nah, not trying to affect anyone. :embarrassed:

@EDK, @Gravitron, @PASM feel free to step in a overrule me :)

But it used to be the tire had to be on or over the rumble strip. So that if you could dangle a piece of string over the outer most edge of the rumble strip and the tire touched the string, it would count. The same rule applied when the tire was flying above the rumble strip too.

In this case, I would say the tire is resting against our 'vertical string', but doesn't cross the plane onto the rumble strips, making it dirty.

I have no problem being demoted to 2nd place if Iceman's 1'41.6xx is deemed clean, Tbh.. I am not entirely comfortable with taking this win anyway considering he made a simple error with his submitted replay.. I have took part in many WRS events and even won a couple in the past but usually for the right reasons! this one doesn't feel right 👎:D

Will leave it with the race Admins to make a decision but I am totally fine with any decision that is made 👍

In this instance, and I hope Iceman, you don’t mind us using your replay as an example, although the car position suggests the tyre is in contact with the kerb, if stationary; then it would be off the track imo. The tread of the tyre is off track.
I don’t know which replay I was viewing but it was clearly different to the one Argon was commenting on. It’s certainly an example that needs formal clarification.

This reminds me of one other thing I was gonna ask this week. Iceman asked for my advice on his replays, but I had no way of seeing it unless he shared it.

Assuming we can UNshare replays, maybe we can add a clause in the rules to allow a short window of sharing replays for verification purposes. Even just something like 1 hour would be plenty. it's a gray area for sure, I guess we'd have to weight which is more important, hiding final times or helping people sub clean times *shrug* @EDK?

Fastest Lap Replay shared for verification - tags GTPWRS003, Evolution and Yamigiva.

I see @Mr P was very quick to find it so please ignore and thanks Mr P !

Yes the very last chicane before the hairpin onto the straight 👍

There were 2 replays....

Doesn’t help!

I have no problem being demoted to 2nd place if Iceman's 1'41.6xx is deemed clean,....

But this would be dq’d because it wasn’t the submitted time.

This reminds me of one other thing I was gonna ask this week. Iceman asked for my advice on his replays, but I had no way of seeing it unless he shared it....

If you are both online, this could be done in seconds/minutes and, if it wasn’t common knowledge of when it occurred, who would know?

The rule says that 2 tires must be contact with the track, and the side of the tire is definitely "in contact" with the rumble strip in that pic, so it looks legal to me.

Yes, that was my initial reaction and the ensuing confusion came about from the two laps. Ultimately, this lap wasn’t submitted though but it’s a good example of where clarification would be beneficial.

But this would be dq’d because it wasn’t the submitted time.

Yes that is correct, but still there's an existing lap faster than the supposed winning lap sat there in the share section and it doesn't really sit well with me taking the win is all 👍
I don't really have much more to say or suggest on the matter, It's simply not a result I feel good about unfortunately :boggled:

I'm gonna stay out of this discussion now until we have closure on the matter 👍

Balls. Forgot to properly check the replay and just wanted to get the time in. For future reference, I did read the rules. Just didn't get around to watching the replay back. Been a busy week irl.
