Assuming we can UNshare replays, maybe we can add a clause in the rules to allow a short window of sharing replays for verification purposes. Even just something like 1 hour would be plenty. it's a gray area for sure, I guess we'd have to weight which is more important, hiding final times or helping people sub clean times *shrug* @EDK?

I would say no. The person who wants his replay checked should make a picture or private video and share it privately to verify. But what happened to the old adage: if you're uncertain, consider it dirty?

Replay uploaded...:)

I have no problem being demoted to 2nd place if Iceman's 1'41.6xx is deemed clean, Tbh.. I am not entirely comfortable with taking this win anyway considering he made a simple error with his submitted replay.. I have took part in many WRS events and even won a couple in the past but usually for the right reasons! this one doesn't feel right 👎:D

Will leave it with the race Admins to make a decision but I am totally fine with any decision that is made 👍
Submitted lap stands, there's no other option. We have to have submission in PM before deadline which matches the lap time.

This reminds me of one other thing I was gonna ask this week. Iceman asked for my advice on his replays, but I had no way of seeing it unless he shared it.

We will have to figure out a bit more on the friend sharing front.

That could work for this purpose, but not everything PD put in a game works as intended.

@EDK, @Gravitron, @PASM feel free to step in a overrule me :)

But it used to be the tire had to be on or over the rumble strip. So that if you could dangle a piece of string over the outer most edge of the rumble strip and the tire touched the string, it would count. The same rule applied when the tire was flying above the rumble strip too.

In this case, I would say the tire is resting against our 'vertical string', but doesn't cross the plane onto the rumble strips, making it dirty.

Jerome
It's not explicitly written in the rules, but an easier way of saying what you said is: "Tire contact patch must be over legal track." Sidewall bumping against the inside of a rumble and contact patch fully on grass should be binned.

Seems to be lots of confusion here regarding posted replays and splits in PM.
You have to watch reply to write down splits, maybe note the lap time that matches while doing this. Library shows lap time in thumb nail. Also delete any previous replays to prevent confusion.

I think there should also be something stated in the rules that says at the end you can only submit 1 replay for the event. Having people search through multiple replays to match your splits doesn't seem right. It is up to you as a driver to make sure you submit the correct information. If you get it wrong, it's on you not officials or people reviewing replays. And @Gravitron has stated "if in doubt, consider it dirty"

You don't need to record the splits when watching a replay and there is no rule that mandates anyone to post the splits in the thread for the run that they actually submitted with. The only things to check are;

  • Compliance with the stated rules for the TT (tyres, aids, track, car, etc)
  • The total lap time is the same as that posted in the results
  • The lap was clean
The time stamp you see in your library thumbnail is not visible when shared publicly which adds to your comment that there really should be only one replay shared as the only way to see the actual lap time is to play the replay.

:cheers:

Could also put in a worksheet on pc etc to check sum of splits equals total lap time before reporting either.....thats what I do.

I also save laps to be submitted to a WRS Submission Favorites Folder in My Library. The only frustating thing is from favorites you can't share presently....have to go back to first tab with risk of uploading the wrong one or the full session replay......

I picked 1 of your 10 shared replays and that one didn't match your submitted time.
I'm not gonna check the the 9 others to check if anyone matches.
Please remove all the ones who don't matter.

I will take a look at this during my lunch time today. User error, I deleted the saved ones I had in my library on Sunday, need to figure out how to remove the not needed ones you are seeing on share.

Need to delete the slower ones when set a new fast time.

I repeat, you do not need to verify split times nor check if PD can add up you only need to verify the time as the car crosses the line with that posted in the results table 👍

Is there a deadline for submitting a replay? Due to the aforementioned brain fart. Can't find anything atm, probably missed it though. I pinky promise it'll be the first thing I do after putting the kettle on! Etu would be 2300hrs GMT 27-12-17.
Thanks, and happy fruitmas!

Results normally go official at next week's deadline time, so basically right at 7 days.

Due to some holiday travel on our staff, that's not going to be a big deal this week, likely unofficial results will go up a week late.

We're all posting in the TT thread right now and Fetchy is just happily ignoring us. :P

Better to delete the slower ones than the faster ones (like I did Week 2).
