GTP_WRS Week 32 : Ferrari 599 @ Fuji Speedway F

[01GTP]

I had two wheels on the rumble strips and for some strange reason, my laptime was red. I saved the replay and viewed it and im 100% confident my lap is clean.

I had the same thing happen when we were here with the Mitsibishi Evo.

As for this combo, I had 2 more sessions with no improvements.
Will submit with splits posted in Luxy.

Yeah Ive been using two different tunes, I love the car and the track I just cant get a good rhythm down. Im going to go try and see what I can do today.

Tires/Weight/Power/Gears can make a big difference.

I finally got around to updating to the new firmware for my Fanatec Clubsport pedals. The original software was absolutely horrid and made consistent braking nearly impossible as WELL as extremely frustrating. I only played GT5P once this entire week, mostly because I was so unmotivated to drive with such a crappy operating brake pedal that I was fighting with all the time My first few weeks with the wheel have been pretty horrible thanks to being the guinea pig for the new Fanatec product, but after updating to the new firmware it feels like I seriously hit a Eureka moment

Anyways, enough of my blabbering...I'm just extremely happy to have finally gotten my brake/wheel set-up dialed in. Here's a baseline time for now after doing a few laps with the updated firmware...there should be a lot more to come though 👍

I've seen T2's of 54.3xx and 54.2xx, but couldnt carry them through T3.

My line, execution and tune are all in need of improvement. I just hope I can find the time to work on it some more.

With a new tune (Thanks Kevin!) I shaved 3 seconds off. My T1 isn't much better but T2 was a huge improvement. I was struggling with the oversteer so much that I didn't notice the understeer. I can still improve some more with better turn-in points and of course lots of practice.

I had another little go today and improved on my lap, my splits are actually a little slower. I have been faster in a race though. Here are my spilts,

T2:- 54.875

I think I might have to sumbit with these too, it sure is annoying when I know I can go a bit faster.

Better get used to it, you'll be submitting almost every week knowing you could have gone a little faster here or there. I could have been a tenth maybe 2 faster on my lap this week too, putting together your ideal lap though is incredibly difficult. I did it in the DB9 miraculously, but Fuzzy was one step ahead of me hah hah.

I know what you mean. However in this case there is no could about it, I have lapped nearly 2 tenths faster in a race ( without draft ) than my current and probably final WRS lap.

I'm thinking the grip gained in the final sector, becuse of the style of corners is better suited to an overall lap with R2's. Just got to get it right
