Had another half hour so I decided to stop drifting every corner and found some time...I am convinced, however, a good slide in and around the double hairpin is beneficial but I can't do it with any consistency:

24.574
47.724
1:06.741

My final sectors were nothing to write home about but it's nice to be right in amongst my div this week. Big thanks to @Gravitron for posting the GraviPorsche tune, it suits my driving style well 👍

First session splits:

24.300
46.950
65.716

I
ride height max/min
camber 0.0/0.0
brakes 2/7
tq split 35/65

I need to tidy up my 3rd sector.. chicane.

this car require's some finesse to get around this track and i'm starting to get use to it. i've been trying everyone's tunes and so far i like the way pasm has his car set up.

new splits

This thing is kicking my butt, I think I may just only play golf at Indy, driving the road course does not seem to be my forte'....sheesh.

Anyone willing to share first turn braking point?

a few meters after the pit-wall on the right ends...turn-in slightly after the white line and close the 1st turn to the right for a better exit and a full throttle turn 2.

On main straith , stay left and brake once the pit wall ends (leaves the screen) on the right.
This won't likely work online.

There are braking markers on the left too IIRC.

You notice the big black boxes on the fence posts on the left? There's two fence posts that don't have black boxes...my brake point is before the last box before the two posts without the boxes. If you watch the Tidgney video that Stefan posted, it's around the 1:30-31 mark.

edit: revised because I mistated my reference....looks like I'm braking at the exact same place as stefan and max, just using a different reference.

I'm neither a fan of this car, nor of this track.. But surprisingly it's fun trying to find those missing tenths :)

24.267
46.950

My T3 is horrible :yuck:

I'm clueless on tuning generally and moreso when it comes to 4wd...can anyone give me some pro's and con's on a greater rear bias setup v. a 45/55 type setup?

End of pit is way easier for me then counting counting the fence-stands.

Yeah but I'm not counting boxes but rather looking for the posts without the boxes. I see those in plenty of time to hit the brakes.

I had mistated my reference earlier..it's not halfway between the two posts without the boxes but rather halfway between the last two boxes before those two posts. I think if you stop the vid at 1:31 you can see my spot. Either way we're braking at about the same point. The difficulty is really in when to start letting off the brakes.

Turning it to the front ends up with too much understeer to me...And it's a Porsche. It needs some drifting to be fast...Walter Röhrl Style ;) The 22/78 I'm using pushes the front wheels into the turn quite right with a nicely controllable drift...30/70 gives me to much understeer.
Yea, you're right. it's exactly the same braking point, but waiting for the pit wall to end helped me a lot. Started with the boxes too, but realized the pit-end while watching replay and after trying that point I checked that this is the easier reference for me ;)
EDIT: In my VW T5 2,5TDI Syncro I can block the rear and the center differential separately and that gives a great controllable fast rally style drifting on a snowy hill road (bye-bye BMW M5, Audi RS4, M3, Porsche Cayenne... and everything else I killed already trying to catch up to my shi**y van on a snowy/icy hill climb - just the right warm up before a ski-race :D)

Had half-hour to spare.. not much limprovement but up .5 at the line

24.953
47.986
1'07.003

T1: 26.250
T2: 50.800
T3: 1:10.866
Looking for those missing SECONDS, only finding tenths or mostly the wall, the grass or the gravel/sand.
Nice combo though, good fun.

Slight improvements:

T1: 25.548
T2: 50.348
T3: 1:10.548

Using settings from @MadMax in post94 above:

"I said
ride height max/min
camber 0.0/0.0
brakes 2/5
tq split 35/65"

@MisterWeary I'll check out the video tomorrow evening. Bedtime now.

25.118
48.418
1'08.384

Lost a good chunk of time in this current lap, hopefully I reclaim that in next session.

I'm very pleased with my session tonight.
24.682
47.782
1:06.915

Hopefully I'll be able to get another two hrs in tommorow. Another great combo.

Not-at-all-quick first impression using Lucas' tune:

25.483
49.300
1:08.800

Of course, since this is the first time in 2 weeks I've sawed at a gaming wheel (fishing vacation and catch-up afterward), I'm just hoping to not be the slowest D3 guy.

Great combo! I might be biased! :D First splits after I figured out how to thrash it mercilessly. :P

24.459
47.259
1'06.059

Lost about 0.2 vs my best through T3, but the T4 on this lap was a full 0.3 off. :yuck: But still my fastest yet.

This tune is pretty easy to drive, nice and balanced.
Thank you thank you

I'm sure all you race rats have noticed...but just in case ...the new seasonals are up on line....and gloriosky the Intermediate Single Race is 4WD 500 PP Apricot Hill. Pull some PP off the RUF....and murder the AI. Bet you are in first before the end of lap two. Run it twice and you paid for your new toy.👍
