New Splits:

Speedway
T1: 20.606
T2: 33.749

Road Course
T1: 33.916
T2: 1'02.664
T3: 1'20.807

Extremely happy with these two laps.:D Road Course splits are slower but an improvement at the line. I've done so many laps tonight like that one, but messed up the bus stop. I hate that corner at the moment.:grumpy: I'm sure it's the same for all you guys.

DEVIE, I've had the same thing happen to me. I was kicking myself when I did it but it all ended up ok.👍

Had a 20m session earlier on Road Course but didn't improve. Will have 1 more shot on Monday, then submit.

I'm enjoying the combo, but I'm having the same old problem as the last weeks - getting a pretty good lap after about only 30m then failing to improve on it all week. The fact I am quick off the mark is encouraging (and should save me some pain in the licences when GT5 comes out), but it's also very frustrating...

Just had a quick blast around the speedway course and found I was quicker with using the pad!! Had a sub T2 34's lap but couldn't tell if I had stroked a wall or not. The time didn't go red and there was any drop in speed/revs. So saved the lap went and done a few more laps and got a cleaner looking lap only .02 slower, Oh GREAT, couldn't save it as it wasn't my fastest in that session!

veru frustrating on those chicanes (bus stop?)... was up 2 tenths from the number 1 ghosts after sector 3, n just lost everything x[

Join the club. I also am finding it hard to put a lap in that im happy with. oh well keep trying:tup:

Right, let's get some opening splits in my comeback!

Clio Tuned @ Daytona Speedway
20.796
33.997

Clio V6 '00 @ Daytona Road Course
34.706
1'04.366
1'22.862

Without looking at Luxy, I feel there is a lot to work on on the Road Clio, it can be quite a bag of fun to handle, feels almost like an FF (it is a MR, isn't it? Or is it only the Tuned which is an MR?)

Okay, losing quite a chunk in the in-field, did feel like it.

👍

To GTP_Masicampo.

I have noticed your time on the online rankings, we are supposed to do this WRS while OFFLINE so we don't know each others final lap times.Just a little warning buddy, we don't want you being dq'd again:tup:

Funny thing is, I did do that on my first run, but those splits were .5 and 1 second faster, perspectively.

Nice run, Very Nice Run.:scared:
T1: 20.640
T2: 33.786
I don't think I'll bother anymore with this track, just ran almost 90 laps, and gained .047 at the line. If that means being bested by one of the best, I can live with that.👍
New Road Splits:
T1: 34.642
T2: 1:03.915
T3: 1:22.296

Gained a lil over .2 at the line.
Hey, am I the only one who finds the bus stop easier than the rest of the track? Maybe I'm ust going to slow, idk, can we talk exit speed here?

Im aware of that, but thats not my actual times. If i submit my current fastest ill be ranked higher.

That sounds very much like me. I hit my limit pretty quick, usually around 3-5 laps, then my times started going downhill . I need a break (1/2 days) before being able to 'get in the zone' again and improve my times.

Without looking at Luxy, I feel there is a lot to work on on the Road Clio, it can be quite a bag of fun to handle, feels almost like an FF (it is a MR, isn't it? Or is it only the Tuned which is an MR?)

I get this feeling as well. For a lightweight, short wheelbase, MR car, it surprisingly understeers under braking. I find having to blip the throttle mid-corner to prevent running wide. In GT2 this exact same car is much more difficult to drive due to its snap oversteer.

Hey, am I the only one who finds the bus stop easier than the rest of the track? Maybe I'm ust going to slow, idk, can we talk exit speed here?

You're not alone. I also find the Bus Stop the easiest corner on Daytona Road. Maybe because in GT1 SSR11 is my favourite track, and I've driven that underpass chicane thousands of times. It's quite similar to the Bus Stop, except it's right-left-left-right rather than left-right-right-left. For exit speed I'm aiming for 160 km/h (100 mph) IIRC. Hardest corner for me is the left hander before coming back onto the banking, always understeer on entry and run wide on exit :ouch:.

I also had another go today, and improved quite a bit.

New Splits:

Daytona Road
T1 34.606
T2 1.04.081
T3 1.22.554

Daytona Speedway
T1 20.843
T2 34.061

I don't think I can go much faster than that, but I'll keep trying until the deadline.

It does feel a little weird to drive. I find it's response if you kick the rear out a bit, to be quite unusual. If that makes sense, it seems to snap quite easily. (I think you've just typed that :D)

@Trievel

i dnt know how u can say that the bus stop is the easiest. I guess it depends on how fast ur going. How much speed are you carrying through the first chicane? I ussually hit the first two apexes at 102mph. If it goes any lower i know im slow. I hit the 3rd apex at 99-100, then, exit at 102-103mph at the last apex. Im around 105-106 by the time i hit the white line coming onto the banking. If you carry that speed, u can hit start finish at 145-146mph. Exit speed is quite important for obvious reasons. Its hard to execute. If u dnt have the proper line, the rumble strips n grass will get you..
I've just discovered my errors on the bus stop... I jst ran a T3 of 1:23.0xx and improved my previous best lap with a T3 of 1:22.296!
I still don't know how you're entering at 100+, I'm still entering @94) but I've gotten close to the exit speed you have there, oh well, improved my lap time .797 with these splits!
T1: 34.456
T2: 1:03.668
T3: 1:22.082

I got one or two T3's under 1:22, but butchered the bus stop... oh well, there's still plenty of time.

Had a few more go's today, here are my latest splits:

Clio V6 - Daytona Road
T1- 0'34.745
T2 - 1'04.176
T3 - 1'22.831

Clio/tuned - Daytona Speedway
T1 - 0'20.920
T2 - 0'34.112

After T3 u should hit 140. I slow down to 102 and carry that speed through the first chicane and out. Ur line coming in is very important. For me, i make it as wide as i can. I dont brake too late and turn too deep. As you can see with ur improvement, exit speed is very important for the long straight.
I can only imagine you must have 2 wheels deep in the grass, with 2 on the rumble strips to do this, cause it simply won't hold those speeds for me with 2 wheels on tarmac....:scared:

Not big improvement in splits but I nailed the bus stop and was .5 quicker at the line.

Speedway
