I'm finding this really frustrating, I haven't improved on my lap in a couple of sessions and might knock this 1 on the head and wait for the next...oh well.

Edit: - will give it a few more goes, see what happens.

.

I'm in the same kind of boat.
And I'm up **** creek without a paddle :)

Glad it's not just me then. So epic is my T1 that I can't gain on the lap, despite my T2 being less than stellar. Expecting to slip down the order considerably if things stay as they are, but would like to think the lap will convert into a D2 podium (fingers crossed)! Looking for a tenth or so ideally.

Given up for the moment so posting the T1 I can't beat atm.

P.S. I saw the question mark so, I'm currently playing on a Pad.

Seems I have to join the "too-early-on-my-limit-to-be-really-happy" club. I've one lap with a 15/1000ths better first sector and one with a .12 1st split and 2/100ths behind at the line. Gives a theoretical -0.075 better ender if I don't find anything basic to improve my line :irked:

This TT is mad frustrating for me. Any tips for a DS3 user, or in general? I have the line pretty much down I'm just either too slidy or not going nearly fast enough...

Well this tail happy bimmer is not the best for a DS3. Half throttle in the 2nd gear parts helps a lot, pointing the car in the right direction and trying to accelerate only then helps too. If not there's always TC at 3, but that will tame the car to the point its easy to handle but dead slow I guess. That said, there are faster DS3 users than me so maybe wait for more advice :P

2nd gear parts? stay in 3rd Javier!!

Yeah I'm hitting a wall too. I think I have about half a tenth lying out there but that'll be tough to gather up.

Maybe a new paint job will help? I'm thinking something very un-Bond like, garish and gaudy, like a fluorescent green with orange rims. I may give that a try, I've tried everything else.

Not really. It makes a lot of sense especially for DS3 guys. The automatic shifts slower and right at red line. This combo only has 4 shifts and the 7000 RPM shift point seems ideal.
Same thing with driving aids. Nobody is going to make fun of you for using ABS or TCS. I often use TCS on front wheel drive cars.

Nice combo 👍 run it for a good couple of hours last night after work and my best save has ...

33.074

Seen a couple of 32.9's but i pretty much nailed the last turn on my best save and it's quite hard to beat :( will try again after work tonight :)

Good luck to all running this

I think using auto, like I do, can be a big disadvantage - top speed wise and acceleration (speed coming out of turns) and also with less engine braking (effect and the ability to control it as well).

Not so much a disadvantage in TT's usually, as opposed to races where missed gear changes can happen, but in this car it has an annoying habit of dropping into second in the 2 tight right handers at just the wrong moment, unsettling the car and losing vital tenths both mid corner and in the drive out of them.

Like you said, the 1 advantage of auto is you don't have to worry about changing gears.

Unfortunately, I have tried to use manual gears with the DS3 but always go back to auto. Ideally, if GT could give us auto users a facility to change up and down when we like, an override, and still have the machine do the rest of the changes for the other 90%, that would be epic.

Ugh, I didn't realize it will try to downshift to 2nd.
The good news is that with only 4 shifts needed you could probably handle it on DS3.

Hmm. Have to give this one up all ready. Got to visit family this weekend, and leaving to night. :banghead: So i`ve submittet today and crossing my fingers. Not my favorit car/track

Se you till the next TT

Very interesting to hear that everybody has a really hard time to improve the time they set in the beginning of the week.

This interesting car makes this combo pretty interesting on a very boring track imo.

Did i said this is an interesting combo

I'm in the exact same boat. Nailed that last sector so good that it is impossible to beat. Curious who nailed it the best

And do not underestimated the second to last corner ;)

I saw a tenth faster T1's dissapear in the second sector a few times :grumpy:

Is gonna be very hard to squeeze out that final tenth
