Just did another 30 lap session. Found the 25s in T1, so I’m pretty happy right now. Seems to reward smoothness and staying off the kerbs.

Updated splits
25.800
28.658
18.899

May throw in another session tomorrow and play with the brake balance some more.

This is me for most TT’s. The more laps I typically run over 20 in a session, the messier I get. Not always though and you can stumble upon a magic lap.

I find best to run short stints 30mins ish then have a 5 min break. I read somewhere on gtp that some top drivers do something similar. Also from studying psychology your brain can only stay in the analytical part (the part that thinks and focuses) for an average of 12 mins before it gets overloaded/used up. Which results in it switching to the habitable part. This is when practice and experience helps a lot. Or taking a break to revitalise it. This is as simple as I can explain it :)

I even find running the TT every other day helps me too.

That's strange, usually it's after 15 to 20 laps that gains start to be seen. I would suggest starting by running a safe, clean and tidy lap, even if it's slow, and then try to increase the risk gradually. By that I mean adjusting your braking points and apex speeds until you find the limit.
That said, we are all different and that approach might not suit you. But over the years most fast guys have told me that's the way they do it, and I agree with them, so I thought it could help you too 👍
That makes a lot of sense. It works that way in other sports too. In basketball you start close to the basket and work your way out. I’ll do some more practicing tonight. Do you think running with the ghost lap on helps or hurts?

I do load it up but unless I'm searching for the right line I tend to keep it off except for occasional checks on the straights. Some cars are worse than others but they all hamper my ability to see the track, especially in technical sections. I wish the game would display our time delta to a saved ghost lap. I'm pretty sure that is how it worked in GT6

I have a good reach to hit the ghost button but I always turn it off asap. Agree that it just gets in the way now that we have the delta.

Everyone have their GT40 for next week? :P
