GTP_WRS Week 48 : BMW M3 @ Fuji Speedway F

A perfect split of divisions so far this week.

Edit: Tonight I've been finding out how frustrating WRS is when your consistency is caput thanks to 2 weeks of non-racing. I've been 2-3 tenths faster than this to T2 a number of times and thrown it away every single time.
T1- 22.365
T2- 57.095

Only been a tenth or so faster to T1 a couple of times.

New splits....Little slower T1 but quicker T2 and final lap time...still not happy though,found a setup wich is good for first part of the lap,but too tricky for the last technical part.....

Great splits all around from the competition this week 👍 I managed to lose a T1 of 22.166 and on a different lap a T2 of .723. I hope that means overall I can shave a few more tenths off at the line.

Just got GTR Evo for £4 at ShopTo. Looking forward to getting my hands on it tomorrow night!

Spent some more time on this, used an adapted tune from TLD, but it felt worse than what I was using, so went back. Can't get within 2/10ths of my best time. But did do a 57.2 at T2 off of a .5 at T1. Where have all my comfortable .3s at T1 gone?

It's LDP now. If anyone is wondering, I'm using my setup as listed in Lion's Den Performance, I'm using the setup coloured maroon but with PP to match and rear toe increased to +0.30. This is a fairly slippery car with good power and S tyres.

Now my dilemma is that even when I pull a good T1 & T2, I get run down by my ghost.
Anyway, I feel like I've got another 6-7 tenths in this tune.(well.. mathematically) Best T1 22.18x and 57.18x.

My fastest lap has one of my slowest T1's, I chased very hard all lap. I was chasing a 22.35x and a 57.18x, and got it at the line by .22x.
Now my dilemma is that even when I pull a good T1 & T2, I get run down by my ghost.

I have the exact same problem - I nailed the final sector fairly early with very average first sectors. The best thing to do I think is study the final sector and then turn the ghost off. I took that advice from spyrrari a very long time ago - now I basically run about 5 to 10 laps and then exit to reset everything otherwise it gets to be really frustrating getting beaten by your own ghost lap after lap after lap.

I agree, the ghost does get in the way of a good lap and does apply, possibly unnecessary pressure.
I am at this stage still chasing a setup and changing ratios a little. The ghost does help me to see if these are improvements or not, even if I don't get the whole lap right.

Once I'm happy with the setup, I switch him off for a while.

Just did a 56.578 T2, only to have a throttle stick issue in the last sector Lost out by a half tenth at the line

On another note, I turned off the throttle vibration feature on my Fanatec wheel FINALLY, and it seems to make a huge difference in my consistancy All that stupid feature does is distract from the FFB communication 👎 Which is already particularly weak in GT5P. Now I can feel the front tires level of grip much easier, which should help me get up to pace much quicker with new combos 👍

Edit: Did a new PB by a few fractions, AGAIN Pretty crappy (and really sloppy looking) lap overall though, as almost every turn seems to have a little mistake which of course adds up to a couple of tenths at the line Will try again tommorow...I feel confident for something good

Hi Guys - Not much time for me this week. Just gave this beast a really quick (5 lap) run, but this is the only night I have, so not going to post splits or submit.

But a really nice combo, for sure.

I think it gives me focus. When I see my ghost behind me I focus more on the next corner...................I think. Otherwise I don't think I care either way.

Edit: New splits. Turn 2 was a close call but I quadruple checked it and it's fine. Probably more time to be had here and there, maybe a tenth on the overall lap.

Edit: Submitting now, the only corner I feel I can do faster is turn 1 and I've tried all different lines and techniques through there and can't match other guys. I just have to hope my T3 is as fast as I think it is.

Took me a good few hours tonight to get that. After i had saved the replay, i grabbed a glass of wine, turned the ghost off and had another few relaxed laps. On the 3rd lap i had a T1 of 22.188 and a T2 of 56.695. I then had a brain fart and spun exiting the hairpin lmao.
