Lin, I think that would be an interesting stat to track.

If we talk to Steven, then I am sure adding another column would be easy, but a pain for the stats tracking person. (Steven)

Are you counting full laps? Because wit the amount of restarts I did this week, I'd have a very high number

Here's my replay

I'll try and do week 50 but some personal issues have come up that I cannot ignore. All the best to everyone taking part 👍

We can scratch my name from the results page and give the other guys the podiums 👍

What's fair to GTP_Mav3r1ck this week is unfair to Cohiba because now he missed a podium opportunity

Please don't make this into a bigger issue than intended. I was under the impression that promotions were made in between races so to speak. Kevin pointed out that this was not necessarily the case which is fine by me. Let's just leave it at that.

Edit: I probably put 200 laps into this week as well. Mind you, the way I usually do WRS is just drive lap after lap without really concentrating all the times. I would probably benefit a lot if I put a bit more care into it.

Congrats to all winners :) was a great WRS combo.

Cheers 👍

Thanks, we can leave it at that. :D

On lap count, of course there will be varying degrees of effort. Back in the GT4 days, I routinely put in anywhere between 4 and 8 hours each week. These days, time to race is shorter for me. I got my result in my second full session, and probably spent a total of an hour an a half.

I'm sure I could have found the 02's, but it would have taken me at least a couple of hours that I did not have.

Finally, allow me to be a little less rude, and provide my congratulations to all the podiums and participants this week.

Nice Job in particular by GTP_DHolland, GTP_Nuclearfire, and GTP_Frantic, who all considerably outperformed the rest of their divisions. 👍

It's great to see some old faces and some new faces in here, all on the same week. This is one of our very best turnouts for GTP_WRS, after 49 weeks.

I only hope you'll all hang around and run in these numbers for some of the races I put up. :nervous:

Kevin

Congratulations to all Division winners on what was a very popular enjoyable WRS combo:tup: An epically small time separation from P2-P9, never seen that before! Replay attached....in the post below.

The best way to determine how much effort you put into a WRS event would definitely be by how much time you spent, not by lap count, as I'm sure a lot of us (myself included) will just restart a lap if we throw it away in first sector, or even worse, at the first corner  :dunce: I agree that it would be an interesting aspect to the results though 👍

For me, a lot of times I'll hit my limit fairly early on (this week and especially last week) and have a hard time matching or besting my times in the end...which usually ends up in frustration, which is not good for the mental aspect and overall performance. I think some of my lack of improvement in times (when there's clearly more left on the table) might have to do with my brain being a bit overloaded and not taking a large enough break between sessions...or vice versa, where I don't do the session for several days and then come back for a quick 20 minutes session, which just isn't enough time for me to get back up to pace....unless I get a bit lucky or feel really comfortable that day with my driving.

I find it to be a bit like studying for an exam...if you stay up all night till the crack of dawn trying to memorize everything to perfection, you'd probably been better studying for a few hours and then getting some much needed sleep for your brain to really cement the studying....if that makes any sense  :dopey:

Congratulations to everyone, so many standout performances that it would be unfair to name individuals but I'm going to anyway! Special well done to my friend CT proving again how much quicker he is than his ranking justified and also to Frantic for proving that us D4 drivers aren't always the whipping boys of WRS!! Replay attached!

Yeah, that's a tough one - I guess it really comes down to total time spent - with TT's that's easy but when we do a tuned online fast lap would you count all the races you participate in that week as practice?

And I kinda have blown my stats for next week. I know I did like 20 restarts in a row trying to get that first 10 second sector consistent but that's very much unlike me. I don't usually restart the minute I mess up a lap because then you lose the practice around the rest of the track.

Congrats to all participants,👍

Great turn out, 35 submissions

Congrats to everyone, especially to CT for a well deserved promotion 👍

Congrats for beating my numb pad with your shock pad.
Maybe I should get one of those too..

Oh, didn't know there were a difference - what is the difference? I use the D-pad for steering :guilty:. I wonder how good I would be with a wheel, hmm. Not able to get one in the near future :(

Well done to all the division winners this week, especially Dan for his stellar time.
Those times are crazy, nuclear and frantic to say the least.
Well done to all who competed this week.
Good to see new and old faces over this past week.
Really fun combo, Sjaak!!

I reviewed replays from nuclearfire and CWR, agreed clean.
I could not view timeattack or LinPark's though, are these NTSC or PAL?
I see them on the XMB but not in the game.

I have to say that I took quite an interest in this weeks run - I really do love these timetrial based one's because its just the car and the driver - no tuning. I studied alot of replays and was fortunate enough to put up a good enough time for a podium. In my studies, I learned every single entry and apex speed, at least I thought I did, until I watched Dan's lap - absolutely amazing. 👍
