Wow! you'd think I would've at least figured that out by now whoops. Thanks GTP_DGiant2000

Improved a further tenth with these splits:

10.494
29.618

Pretty satisfied with this lap, so I decided to submit it to Vaxen's Pm Box.

New Splits:

Solid T1: 10.476
I slipped on the long turn: 29.835

A solid T3, but a weak final turn. It costs me a lot

I improved the overall lap, but there is no need for a update

Great splits Chad...showing your typical strengths with the torquey RWD cars that are hard to handle 👍

I'll have to set aside some time tommorow to try and improve :scared:

Thanks TA. Its not like your splits are bad mate! 👍

Tomorrow will be my last go, then I will submit.

New splits:

T1:0'10,460
T2:0'29'691

Happy with these splits, but not happy with my T3...so will have to have one more go to improve there...

spyrrari.

My 3rd session got better

T1: 10.682
T2: 30.311

Will have to master the last sector, so need at least one more session!

cheers
👍

I've just done an updated lap :

T1 : 10,560
T2 : 29,785

I am very satisfied with my T3 by gaining time on my previous best lap and about my absolute 180 lefter after the tunnel. :sly:

Somehow, I'm sure I can beat that time by gaining on the T1.

Bad news - G25 croaked last night :(

Good news - Logitech are sending me a replacement under warranty :)

Bad news - it won't arrive before 7-10 days :(

Which means I will probably have to submit what I have now, I was convinced I could go quicker (eternal optimist).

Unless I can be bovvered to set up my old DFP to chase the last few tenths......

Had time for a few quick laps this morning, improved a little on laptime with more or less the same splits...

Had one lap were i did a T1: 0'10,391...!!!! I whas so amazed i missed my braking point after the tunnel...lol..

will have one more go this weekend or monday morning...

Damn Spy! That's one QUICK T1 :scared: What's your secret? :dopey:

I'm going to go for a session right now, hopefully I can at least knock off a 10.4xx T1.

I did the same thing when I ran a 10.460 :ouch:!

Great split. I knew someone would do a .300 there !!!!
👍

Ok, high time to put myself on the board. Sorry I haven't put up splits so far, but I haven't had much time this week.

Had 3 short sessions (10-15 laps each) so far. To be honest, it'll never be my favorite combo, but it is kinda growing on me :)

Splits so far:
T1: 10.927
T2: 30.767

Really quick T1 Spy! Man that must have been an insane run down the drop to the tunnel! 👍

Yeah i have somehow always been quick thru that first corner, its very difficult to get it right though...
I have a lot of trouble with the last corner of the lap...that one i almost never seem to be constant at...
I remember previous TT's were i whas in battle with Dan (and others)and i whas faster than him in the first part of the lap,but he is amazingly quick thru T3... especially in the last hairpin up the hill and last corner!!...
So i guess if anyone whants to be close to him,T3 is the most important part !!!
Doesnt really matter if one has a good T1 or simular T2...thats not were the main difference is made.......unfortunately...lol!!

Hope to get a good T3 in my last try for this combo,if not than it whas good fun anyways ...

I agree it's tough to get it right but when you get it, be careful of not missing your lap because the anger rises :sly:

Well, in my case

Damn...absolutely awesome job up to T2 Chad! I will try my best to beat that this weekend...but even then, I'm not sure if it will happen

This seriously has to be one of the worst combos possible for me :ill: But it is still a good learning experience, if I ever manage to put in some time 👍

The key is S3! You can do a 29.8 and still mange a good final time. Don't worry about the splits much. The lap isn't flushed if you get a 29.8!

Yeah, I totally understand that, especially being that T3 is well more than half the lap time. It's just a bit intimidating when some of you have found so much speed up to T1 and T2...makes me wonder what you guys have left for the rest of the lap :scared: The good part is, T3 is much different from T1/T2, so some of the guys might struggle through there despite being quick through the higher speed section (T1, T2). The results should be quite interesting to say the least 👍

To me this car really seems to have crappy FFB and steering in general. The FFB is fairly numb for the most part (I should probably turn it up) and the steering seems to have a crap load of dead zone unless you're at the absolute limit. I can't wait to see how improved the physics and FFB are for GT5 :) Hopefully it is far more realistic and believable...especially at the low speeds seen around Eiger in this tank

This is the first time I have ever driven this car in this game on this track. I must say its front end is garbage. Although it is a dodge, so that speaks a lot for the quality of the car. This cars front end just slides threw the corner so well. If you don't diamond the corners, then getting around fast is nearly impossible. I found my biggest problem is the front end just unloading under braking, so if you line isn't exactly right, then you blow the corner. I don't feel the dead zone on my wheel, which is the G25. You would have to ask Dan, Spy, Ausicko is their wheel has dead zone, but for me I don't feel that as much.

That is definitely the interesting part. Like I said TA, nail the last sectors with a 29.8, you will in good shape, but nail T2 right, and T3 and you might be surprised what you find over the hill. (A pot of gold!)

Great splits Chad...👍

About the cars handling, i think PD have done a very accurate simulation with this car,I remember several videos of carmagazines/carshows who tested the car back then and they all complained about the lack of grip/feel of the front end of the car....mind you there is a extremely heavy V10 engine in the front of this car and the suspention back than whas about the same as a pick up truck........

So i would say:well done PD!!!👍👍👍
