Quite a frustrating track/car combo :scared:

But i like  still need a lot of work to put a complete lap together. Still having big problems turning in to turn 1. Lose 3/10 on the first split. But i must go okay fast up the mountain. Getting 1,00 times. Then i usaly get it wrong in the corkscrew and ruin the 3 sector.

Some good pointers to turn one and the corkscrew? And maybe the last turn before the long straight down the mountain?

For turn 1, trail braking so that you can get the power as early as possible, but don't touch the kerb on the inside, just get as close as possible. Corkscrew is all about straight lining it as best as you can, meaning you have to sacrifice the corner before a little bit to stay to the right. In the last corner before the long straight you have to brake early and stay very tight, as there is the most camber. You'll notice that you can power out very early if you hit it right.

As for me, I'm lookin for just 1 more tenth in T1, I'm happy with the rest of that lap. 👍

Sorry did something wrong there.

By trailbraking you meen a controlled slide in to apex?

Think i got to much grip in my reartyres so it wont slide much. What setup are u using?

You can never have too much practice at the famous Mountain. I like this Brotha. There is enough downforce to keep it stuck to the track at the top of the hill and you can use the back end on level corners. It becomes a bit tricky in the dipper and the Falken elbow, coming out of the twists of the Mountain. There it is prone to understeer, even though you brake early the car just doesn't want to turn. I think I hit my limit quite early on this one, I don't think there is much in it. The chase could have gone better but that is pretty much it.

That's exactly it. Unfortunately it's hard to achieve with this car as it's just so understeery, with this one it also is no real slide, but I think you know what I mean.

Running EDK's tune (thank you for posting) with my own take on the gearbox. Heaps more out there but i had to chuck my best lap as I tagged the wall at mcphillamy park. Hopefully I get much more time this week. I was just starting to find a rhythm and that is what Bathurst is all about. Did I mention I love this place. Just wish it wasn't a Ford we have to thrash around there :yuck:

If I get the binoculars out at the top of the mountain I can almost see other members of my division!

Hope you.brought food for two because I'm right on your bumper. I'll bring some tools and we can be shade tree mechanics.

I'm finally getting the hang of this car. It'll be fun to keep working at it and seeing the time improve.

First clean run after a few adjustments, using EDK's diff & gearbox ratios and Bart's suspension......
Getting there slowly, still a little more to find if I can tidy it up.

Damn, this is frustrating. Now i got first split under 18,5 bur now i'm to slow up the mountain :banghead: Having problems getting 00 times. Worst is still 3 split where i'm 4/10 off pace.

Realy tricky track and wierd handling car.

That first turn is up there with Copse and the first chicane at Le Mans in my frustrationmeter

Yeah, sometimes Fetchy gets confused by the numbers if you post tunes in the body of the post. I would advise you to do that in a quote or a spoiler format 👍

Just used , this setup what @PASM posted, without the tranny settings and got these splits

Finally get some laps on this combo, but... this is the hell of a car on the hell of a track :scared:

First splits for the week. I love this track as it gives you no room for error.

have seen .3 quicker at Ts but clipped the wall coming onto corned straight and can't seem to replicate it. Grrr
At least there is still plenty of time left in the week.

Happy racing to all. :)
