My first attempt ever for WRS

After about 15-20 laps

I hate the busstop.

Will give it another go at the weekend

I hate that if you mess up turn 1, what can you do? Restart or keep going? Either way you have to drive a whole 🤬 lap to get the flying start you need!

That drives me insane, that does. No, I don't want to wait another 2 minutes to have another go!

My earlier run produced these splits.

T1: 33.421
T2: 1'01.490
T3: 1'18.982

had plenty of .1 T1's and even had a .049 just to go and mess the lap up at the 🤬 bus stop :grumpy:

Will keep on trucking though

First attempt, couldn't not have a crack at this since it's my favourite combo in Prologue:

33.232
1'01.307
1'18.811

The starting point is really a nightmare that takes a lot of fun out of this other from that great track! I've picked up the habit of taking turn 1 really easy as I am still zoning in on the limits. I do better with a little slower T1 but at least then putting in a few laps at a time. This turning around and all drives me up the wall and kills the rythem

The one other thing that irritates me a bit: you can almost fall asleep on the long sections of the oval.... I think this track calls for cars that do 300kmh+ :D

thru, turn 1 is a killer too.

I remember when I first started playing GT5P I thought that turn one on DR was the most difficult turn in the game. Not just difficult to nail but just to even make it through without spinning off. It struck me just the other day that I have absolutely no problems whatsoever with this turn now and I can't understand what it was that was so difficult back then. The bus stop on the other hand...

Well turn 1 is a million times easier on the wheel than on the pad. In fact that could be said for most of the track! Not my best splits so far but certainly my best lap. Hope to have one more go before the deadline but not sure if time will allow

T1 - 34.137
T2 - 1'02.737
T3 - 1'20.361

Thing is, you can take that corner too wide. If you hang it out wide, you won't be able to brake hard enough to slow down.

That said, why listen to me, I can go through all levels of consistency in T1!

this event is impossible without a steering wheel

Tell me about it. Read my post nr 62.

Finally got the lap I was looking for, I decided that if I stuffed up T1, I'd keep going, a psychological thing, but I reckoned I was getting too huffy about having to drive backwards through the chicane, anyway.

33.322
1'01.583
1'19.134

I'm very happy with that lap, I'll hold off submitting, if I find another hour or so, I might be able knock off a tenth or two. Unlikely, mind :D

 I've resorted to hitting the restart button then immediately jamming on the handbrake! Quick 30 second drive upto the chicane and I can get some speed up from there. Its fun to do a donut or two as well ;)

Forgot all about this week! Just had a quick blast returning from out of doors, bit tipsy but atleast I could concentrate, kind of. Not sure how much time i'll have over the weekend to better my lap but theres a bunch of tenths in turns 1 & 4 to be had :(

Nevermind, that may have to do. Oh, I've been instructed to point out, that drink driving isn't big or clever! Even at Daytona!! Jessica says so!

I desided not to drive backwards for the flying start , thus I did 60 laps in a row.
Switching back and forth between 0 and 1 TCS almost full session.
And I did my current lap with TCS 1:

T1 33.422
T2 1'02.101
T3 1'19.636

I'm right on your tail EDK :mischievous:

Had one last go today but I could not improve my best lap.
I've submitted with my current splits.
Good luck guys.

20 more laps (55 total)

33.470
1'01.581
1'19.051

Poor T1 spoiled what was otherwise a lap on the limit of my abilities. I was nevertheless a tenth quicker across the line. Will try some more later today.

Slower splits, faster at the line. I'll probably have another go tomorrow.

T1: 33.542
T2: 1.02.160
T3: 1.19.755

I've had a couple of quick stints before tonight and not much to speak of, had some improvement tonight and will probably get another before submitting.

33.513
1'01.804
1'19.310

Some improvements.... still far away from happiness, though

T1: 33.505
T2: 1'01.796
T3: 1'19.314

T1 is fine but the rest of the lap is full of minor mistakes which I'll try to fix tomorrow if I have time.
