I'm very curious about Paulie's tune. The laps i did was with a whole difrent tune.

This is the tune i used so far. Gonna give Paulie's one a try tomorrow night.

Hope you like my tune everyone.:) Feedback is appreciated.👍 I spent quite some time on this tune too, there's no stopping over 1600kg of Merc convertible from understeering completely, I could only lessen the severity.

The tune is interesting. Without the option to adjust antiroll bars you are forced to alter the balance of the car using either the suspension settings (which is really not ideal) or the dampers (which is a slightly better option imo).

My conclusion is that to a large extent there are a very wide variety of tunes that could be used to achieve the same lap times. I don't think I've set a bad time so far and I'm using my own tune that I've worked on since the start (and still tweak a bit here and there to give me some renewed energy to pursue some improvements in time).

I think it's more important to use a tune that gets the car to handle how you want rather than to worry about whether or not that is "the" definitive tune that should be used. Granted that sometimes the faster car is the one that handles a bit less ideally than how you would like, but I think there's definitely room within the setup to accomodate the personal preferences of the driver.

Well I do, the car feels solid, and your efforts are very much appreciated.

I am, as I usually do, zoning in on your tune, that means I use your setup but a bit less hard core in the beginning (less toe and camber mainly). This way I can also always hope to still find some pace as I get full into your setup
:sly:

A question toe your choice of toe though: what made you go to this massive negative value for the rear axle. That is rather unusual so I'm running a moderate pos value. Or is that just a typo? Thanks!

Using negative toe at the rear helps to make the car less stable and aids turn-in a bit. As long as it's not causing excessive oversteer, and the car isn't wandering on the straights, it's a good idea for making the car more responsive.

It's to help this Elephant turn, it's pretty stable thanks to its weight and R3 tyres, I wanted to eliminate some understeer.

You're thinking of front toe.

I'll give the neg. rear values a try and pay attention to the behavior. Guess I am using the neg front and pos rear setup out of pure habit as it does help most rwd cars keep the tail in a bit better when going on the power. Thanks for the advice 👍

Tiny improvement at T2 but 2 tenths across the line
Have seen a low 47.4XX at T2 only to tap the wall in the final turn.

Today's session marked by an impossibility of chasing my ghost, and when I finally managed to do so (and beat my lap time for about 0.3), my lap was invalidated due to the stupid invisible wall made by PD :ouch:.

Maybe this comment will be off-topic, but seriously, how can PD consider themselves perfectionists when having 🤬 like this? "Oh great, I'm doing an amazing lap time, no major mistakes...ohhh...wait...wall that I can't see..." Making mistakes annoys me slightly, but mistakes that happen that weren't my fault??? That seriously is 🤬. Sorry. [/RANT]

Improved a bit at the finish but not really with the splits. Found more speed in eSSeS but couldn't get the lap together. Allso in did a 27.855 as a first split, was so impressed that i screwed up eSSeS :banghead: Just the place where found atleast .200 What can this be a pain in the .... sometimes

Well guys good luck all of you, hope you don't improved to much over the weekend cos i can't defent myself :sly:

This are my splits

27.927
47.950

You should NOT be D3.

I rarely run these events. When I ran the qualifier I was placed in Division 4. I ran a couple of events here and there and the last event I ran quite a few weeks ago (which was the last event I had run before this one) I was moved to Division 3.

If one of the race admins wants to move me that's fine.

Excacly, please let him promote to D2. So the other D3 drivers have a change to win :sly:

DrTrouserPlank/Frantic is correct, you have to participate to be promoted.

It's not fair to the regular participants to promote off of limited or no results.

If someone is obviously faster than their division ranking, they will be moved up more quickly. I think I've shown that in the past.

First splits from my 30 minute session. Nice to relax with an awesome combo with only having 1 exam left to do. :)

27.900
47.532

I had done a 27.762 on my 3rd lap and in my amazement, crashed on the next corner

Rudely forgot to mention, I'm using Paulie's tune. Thanks Paulie 👍

Worse T1 but better T2 and best line time..
