Finally got a time in I respect:

T1: 27.977
T2: 47.857

Thanks to the contributers to help me reach my last improvements.

New splits

28.169
47.901

I'm yet to figure out the quickest way through turn 3, thats the key to unlocking a decent lap time for me I think :P

I haven't received qualification approval yet but I'll post my first splits anyway in hopes that I'm approved by the deadline.👍

28.406
48.340

Looks like I have a lot of work to do!:)

Doing a little better, but still trying to figure out how to optimize my way through the esses.

T1: 0'28.331
T2: 0'49.014

New splits, spent longer than I should have and am ultimately disappointed. A few hundredths slower in T2 and I'm sure a 27.6xx is possible, but I've seen 27.72. I finally got this lap and unless I really feel like doing it all again tomorrow (unlikely) I won't be having another go.:banghead:

T1- 27.760
T2- 47.396

27.957
47.850

sorry Paulie, went a whole half second faster using your setup, great job mate, thanks :)

Why apologise? My tune helped you, that's why I'm here.:D

Is there an invisible wall in turn one as well? When checking my replay for my fastest lap I can clearly see daylight between the rail and my side mirror.

Yes, there is one. If you run up the kerb too much, you might touch it.
If you bump it hard enough, your laptime goes red.

Yes I know all about getting a red lap by touching the wall there. :grumpy: This just didn't feel like a touch but it looks a bit suspicious on the replay. The problem is that I like to go up on the kerb a bit there because it allows me to get on the throttle earlier. I think I would like to ask for a second opinion here and have someone look at my lap if that is OK by the stewards?

If your not 100% sure your lap is clean, consider it dirty. I hate it when i have to scrap a good lap when im not sure about something so minor, but thats what makes it rewarding when you have a 100% clean lap. Good luck with it. :)

A bit off-topic, but buying an aftermarket ECU had better completely disable the driving aids in GT5 for this car, therefore 100% eliminating the bouncing.

Finally found time to put in a second stint this week. This time using Paulie's tune 👍

T1: 27.983
T2: 47.900

Lost a bit of time in the SS, but had a good first and last split.

I do the same thing. On the lap I'm submitting (assuming no improvements) I touch the curb in the first corner, run close to the wall in the tunnel and also touch the curb in the last corner. None of which where wall touches and the replay shows this by watching the speedo.

Ultimately as you drove the lap, you should probably have an idea whether you glanced that wall in the first corner even without looking at the replay. If it's only a tire touching the curb and not really running fully over it then it will probably be clean, but from the replay the drop in speed or sudden direction change should be evident if you touched it slightly.

I'm not sure what the rules is on sharing replays. Seeing as it obviously gives away final laptimes it wouldn't be allowed in this thread as such and would have to be done by PM. I would have offered to have a look for you, but seeing as we are both close on the leaderboard it's fairer that I don't.

My first splits:

T1: 28.142
T2: 47.849

EDIT: With thanks to PAULIE for the tune off course!

Just point it and hang on tight.

T1: 27.928
T2: 47.770

Phillip.

Nice pace there once again Phillip! I really do wonder if you still belong into division 4 mate! 👍

Sharing replays off the record by email is no problem.

Especially when in doubt of something is legit or not.
A second opinion can give the answer you are looking for.

But remember, like DEVIE said,If your not 100% sure your lap is clean, consider it dirty.

That will do, last one before I submit.

T1: 27.943
T2: 47.757

Going dizzy now and the bouncing has just about loosened my eyes in their sockets.

Phillip.

Good luck everyone.

Good battle you two, fast times.

I ran a very long session last night (100+ laps) and saw a T1 of 27.713, but could not carry it through to the finish line, so I've submitted with my current leaderboard splits.
I'm not sure whether my current T3 is going to hold up, as I've run up to 0.050 faster T3's, so the results are going to be pretty exciting.

Good luck guys.

.713 :scared: Nice!!!
Tell me about not getting it home, been there too often
This WRS is fun (even though I still hate the track) and it's going to be really really close! Right now first 4 positions within a tenth... and there are 2 more evenings to go 👍
