A little improvement.

T1 - 0'55.239
T2 - 1'40.612

I started using Den Lion's F40 setup but I felt it was a tad on the soft side. So I adjusted the dampers a little higher and now the car I feel is more stable. But I still wonder how you guys are 3 seconds faster then me haha.

Nice challenging beast, :D she needs a braking parachute in the back though, her chocolate brakes don't help much. :scared:

My splits so far:

53.753
1'37.992

Nice to see you guys are still at it… chasing that time. This event looks fun and I just put the Prologue in to the PS3 on Saturday and got hooked, after a long time of not playing but I was using the clutch on my G25 and was having loads of fun. It would be nice to have an event where you could use the clutch and this event would be perfect for that as I think this car has that traditional old school racing touch.

Kevin after this event do you think we can arrange something so that all that want to use the clutch can, obviously those that don’t miss out. Not being nasty it’s just that the game has been out for so long and there have been some great special out there to purchase steering wheels it would be nice to have some heel and toeing going on.

I use the flappies. It just takes practice from now on. Don't give up.

Yeah I keep telling myself that the next month or so I will be developing (or infact creating :D)some G25 skills but thankfully GT5 isn't getting released anytime soon.
Thanks for your advice CT.:)

Great T2 split Ramon...👍👍,you must have nailed the hairpin...i still didn't find the right brakingpoint there,as you said;the brakes feel really uuuhhh well old, like the car!!...:)

@oskierox,you have by far the best time between T1 and T2...well done and welcome to the WRS and GTplanet:tup:

First quick run with Paulie's tune

T1: 55.717
T2: 1'41.328

much more to get out of this car, one of my favorites

Update.

T1 - 0'55.141
T2 - 1'39.998

I think using my Sparco Karting Gloves did the trick. But seriously, this car is pretty nice once it's tuned properly.

Whew! I got my times up more!

T1: 53.855
T2: 1'38.082

man this is one car you really wrestle around the track! lots of fun :D

I generally use sequential stick shift as I feel it is more realistic for lots of cars, however when chasing those last tenths in the WRS, its the flappy paddles for me as, like CT says, hands on the wheel at all times.

Good to see you back SA, hopefully you'll be back on the online circuit soon

Good to be back :)

First splits for me:

T1: 53.959
T2: 1'38.251

Anyone else find it funny that my first split is '959' considering the history of the F40? ;)
Lovely combo, incredibly difficult to realise its full potential. I've had .831 T1s and can see a couple tenths in all sectors. Reckon this week will bring out the best in people and show how good Ramon really is

All the best

Don't you mean Fernando or, has he signed up to your blog Maz?

I'll have some new splits to post soon. Strangely, my best laps have come in races, and yes, in free air before anyone says anything.

Very fast times being posted:tup: I have a small improvement using paulies suspension and I am greatly enjoying this combo.

T1: 53.999

T2: 1'38.568

Still some more to come from me hopefully. Trying to string that perfect lap together seems fairly difficult. :)

No worries...Care to share your tune??...:sly:

Its frighteningly close to what Paulie posted earlier! Looked at his to see what I could improve from the tune I had done, and i hadn't thought to move the gears around which helped alot but his looks pretty spot on so 👍 :)

What's going on here? Did the mothership land on Earth and start waking up all you aliens? All kidding aside, its great to have you Div 1 guys showing back up - for awhile there, some of us had actually started to believe we had gotten fast. :)

I think I will give this week a try. The tune is way off, but I am just starting to adjust and find my comfort zone with the car. I would like to know if anyone is even close to using 5th gear. Im scared to shorten the gears too much.

Here are my first splits

T1: 55.949
T2: 1:41.414

Ive gotten it to consistent 53.6's in the first split but after that I cant keep my lap together! I'll have to keep trying at it :P

I have managed to come up with a decent lap although it still could have been better with time lost at Degner and Spoon curves.

T1: 53.710

T2: 1'38.307

YES! I went from first to 6th over night! Unsure when I'll get to have another go, but Easter weekend is this weekend!;)

Thank you 👍, the hairpin was good enough but always there's room for improvement everywhere, specially in a technical track like Suzuka, at the hairpin I brake 1 meter (or so) before the rumble strip ends and I try to brake as straight as possible.

Welcome oskierox, you have some nice splits there. 👍

Reckon this week will bring out the best in people and show how good Ramon really is
I agree with the first part of your sentence. 👍

Just for showing you with some proof that I'm not like Fernando Alonso, I'm a wheel user and he is a pad user. :D

I've had to update the setup on my F40, it's now lower and wears the tyres faster with bigger toe settings. I have some new splits, but this week is SO frustrating. Every fast lap you hit you think, geez, there's a tenth here, here, there, and HERE! So frustrating when you can't put a lap together.

👍 I couldn't agree more. I set my car up and thought it had a good balance and then I see a tenth or two here or there, tweak the settings and hey-presto instant result. I just don't know how many tweaks I've got left before I start going slower again

I did try your first tune Paulie and me and her didn't get on, I'll see if your new missus is a better ride :boggled:

I just want to finish on the same lap as the division 1 guys :dunce:

my latest splits:

T1 - 54.440
T2 - 1'39.235
