Congrats to all winners, Plato and the div 3 gang in particular. I've never been beaten by four div 3 racers in a WRS before. Wouldn't say it's a joyous occasion for me (:dopey:) but it is very well done by you guys to be on div 1 pace.👍

I still don't quite understand why this was so difficult for me.

Congrats to all division winners and podiums 👍
And 👍 for the D3 guys this week as well.

And of course  to all for a fun week.

Congrats to CT and Rudi for going into the 34's and to Plato and a lot of D3'ers to put in D1 times.

I know my last sector wasn't great. Having seen Rudi's replay I know why now. I have never thought of handbrake for this combo during my session. Seems like you win quite a lot with it. I'm quite happy with overal podium though. I should be, after doing not so great in the last 2 weeks.

Off to the next combo.

Congrats to all the folk who made it to a podium, particularly in this hotly contested week...I think the slower cars brought out the competitive streak in us all :) I also didn't think a 1'34 was possible.......wow!

Anyway, here's my PAL replay as requested 👍

Chukabilly has had a good week! Replay soon. Rudi, I wish I followed Jake's advice, because he held third, too. I'm not drinking coffee.

Well done everybody, and congratulations to the podiums - especially Brandon, Sascha and Wes 👍

Wow, I am delighted and surprised to have got on the podium. T3 must have been more mighty than I realised.

Amazing pace for Div3 this week, a whole raft of us would have got D2 podiums! Congrats Chuk - great lap time.

Will post my replay up later this evening.

Well done to everyone! 👍

Thanks to everyone who noted my performance and gave me a mention. This is only my 3rd week in the WRS and am having a great time here with such a great community, this is another solid result for me this week to go with an overall podium at Monaco 2 weeks ago. Hopefully with my results and a good showing in this weeks I have a chance of promotion. I put in a lot of effort to try and gain promotion as I am not the best Nurburgring driver in the world and struggled around there in the qualifier, didn't help my cause without a ghost though. Don't know why I struggle around here, would of thought I would have got good around there after spending most my gaming time on the Forza Motorsport series before this came out, and spending time on the track in race lobbies on this fantastic game, still not up to the pace I should be around this track looking at my results from the previous weeks, don't mind Nurb GP just slow at the full version.

Here is my PAL replay. Congrats to all podium placers and the D3 guys.

Well done to all the podium placers once again, especially my fellow Div 3 guys.:) I had a 1'35.4 in me but I just couldn't do it, so you guys deserved to finish ahead of me this week.👍 I'll post up my replay either later today or tomorrow at the latest.

Good lap but cost yourself a few tenths in my opinion on the follow through by easing off the throttle to much. there was a line you could take that would allow you to take that corner flat out, but hard to get it right. Good lap 👍

Strange how I view your replay and it doesn't show on the thread that anyone has viewed it, I must be doing it differently to everyone else, but at least my way works I suppose.

Forget last comment, just takes it's time to show up that anyone has viewed it

Congratulations to CT and Rudi for getting into the 34's.
Congrats as well to all the division winners and podiums.
This weeks results are all over the place, I smell promotions.

Both great laps.

All I can say is that both of you took turn 1 entry too tight, and try to ease on the throttle coming out of those tight corners.

Here's my replay, PAL.

You guys in the top spots, amazing times, I'm really going to need to pick up my game, and remember that whatever time I make I need to take at least 5 seconds off it :)

Yes, I deliberately lifted on that occasion in order to get in a good lap. My previous 1:35.797 was a stunner through there but was just dirty in chicago. I was on some decent splits and didn't want to risk it, so just to get a time in the low 1:36's I lifted to be safe. After that I went all out on that corner and got it many times, just not with a decent T1 or T2.

Another thing I noticed is the quick guys were much slower though the actual corner at hammerhead. Rudi for example went through at about 42-44kph but keeps a tighter line. I was around 46-48kph, causing my line to become a bit wider. Sometimes I think I concentrate to much on the exit speed trying to go too fast in the apex and pushing wide. I know in my brain I should be going slow in fast out, but the foot doesn't obey

Thanks to everyone for yet another fun WRS race. 👍

The rest of your lap was great but if you could of nailed that one turn it would of been fantastic. I watched your speed through there and you dropped down to 81MPH, I found it possible to go through there at 83MPH. Those extra MPH are a big advantage that takes you all the way up to the last 2 corners. Believe it or not probably cost you at least 3 tenths.

If you were taking that corner flat out in previous laps, you should have continued to, the mid 1'35 would have come eventually if like you say you had a 1'35 which was dirty. Time for you to be more aggressive and you will reap the rewards 👍

Here is my replay.:)

had a much better time, but when I saved the best lap replay, it saved a red flagged lap instead. :-( oh well, here's my replay.

Congrats to Chuk for his relentless grinding on this one. I have watched his replay and it is probably the best hot lap I've seen from him. Awesome dedication this week Charlie!

Again 👍 to all participants and podium winners. Here is my replay.

Any tips for opening other NTSC replays? I have a Dell Netbook and everytime I try to extract the files it says insert latest multi disc set. The computer has a no disc drive. I managed to get it on USB reader once and it said corrupted data when viewed under ps3 saved data utility.
Thanks.

My NTSC replay, thanks in advance for whoever checks it. This is my third week in the WRS and I just have to keep saying thank you. To put this on is a huge effort. I didn't play GT5P but had all the previous GT's and I think I've learned more in the last three weeks (with all of your guys help) than I did in my years playing the previous games. This is an amazing community, thanks again for all the help guys!

I'd recommend the 7zip program (www.7-zip.org) for windows. Once installed it allows you to double-click on zip files as if they were folders, and to move around within them seamlessly. Once you get that far, then you can just drag/copy the PS3 folder to your thumbdrive. Sometimes people don't leave the correct PS3\SAVEDATA\ structure in place and you have to manually create that path on the thumbdrive, so the PS3 knows where to look for them.

Thanks 01GTP for checking my replay (again)! And for the tips!

Congrats to all podiums and everyone who took part this week 👍

Was a fun combo, although frustrating at times

Checking now.

While retrieving my own replay.

Well done to the D3 podiums. Every time I tried to catch up you all put in a bit more, just couldn't catch you. Also well done to all podium finishers and especially to the 1'34's at the front.

Noticed when I datalogged your lap against mine I was always trying to get the power down early but feathering the accelerator until I could get full power down. You stayed off the accelerator longer but got full power earlier. Will need work on this.

You were a bit tight on the run into turn one. The fast guys were really wide before turning in. You were a bit too careful going into the last two corners there was a lot of time to be gained, or lost, there but overall it looked pretty good.

Here's my replay.

Sweet run, I was a bit surprised you were able to cut that corner turning into Hammerhead, I got a direct red lap when my tires crossed the white line

My replay.

Thats the thing in FWD cars, you have to let the car free roll around the corners and do the work for you, getting on the gas to early results in spinning the tyres and bogging down. Also breaking earlier for corners in FWD cars always helps earlier than you would break normally when driving cars with different drivetrains. :)
