Crazy fast Chuk... crazy fast. All you D3 guys... outrageous! Great job. 👍

Hat tip to the aliens, as ever. :)

Also a nod to my D2 lads Velez, Barra, UsualSuspect and D3's Apollo33 and D1's Worst_Driver... doesn't get much closer than that eh? Good racing chaps. 👍 If I'd managed the lap I had in my head, well I'd have beaten you all by miles. By miles I tells ya. :dopey:

You have room for improvement on the driving line.
Test the car's boundaries for each corner individually to find out where you can flat out.
Also take your time to learn the car's powerband - where to shift. this car worked best with shifting at maximum rpm.

Congrats to those who submitted, I got kinda frustrated at that kink just after T1, it kept flagging me for (imo) no reason at all *shrug*

Great Job everyone! I had a lot of fun this week and snagged my top performance both overall in and my division. Props to all the D3ers this week. We rocked the house!👍

Chuk, I had a feeling you were gonna get me when I saw you moving up the boards as the weekend went on. Great Job. I did better than I thought I would knowing my T3 wasn't good. I hope this is sign for future performances. I will get my replay up tomorrow.

Great job to you too!! 👍 Chasing you and Ash proved to be quite the motivator for me this week. :) I'm looking forward to more close racing!

Thanks for checking my replay, MadMax.

Good Job Chuk, you sure are quick when you can put the time in, even if I had delivered my best possible lap, it still would have come up just short of yours.👍

What's all this talk of a wide entry to turn 1!? Am thinking I might have been an idiot and never realised that was the way. I ran it pretty tight, perhaps was my downfall. Any critique welcome - penultimate turn was fast but a little messy, problem was I ran a little wide and didn't take the right line over that asphalt bit on the inside, which meant I had to cling on a bit.

I guess I never understood the white lines, I stayed inside where others went out. Oh well, heres my replay. I know my time isn't good but the number looks cool! 1'39.931!

Your turn 1 was a bit tight. Wider entry would have allowed you to carry a bit more speed and kept a more flowing line through the corner. Hammerhead was about spot on 👍
Penultimate turn like you said was a bit messy. Slightly later turn in would have worked. Could have kept your speed up at about 103kmph. Braking point was good but turned in just a fraction to early.

Besides that it was a very good lap. Nice smooth transitions from brake to gas

Thanks Vagabond 👍. Indeed, as close as it gets...actually at first when reading fast I had to read carefully...many 35.8xx, nice to get a podium by first time.

Even though I participated on WRS (once) on GT5P, I kinda regret not being consistent...tons to learn.

@ Rudi, is always interesting to see your brake inputs and gear selection...need to make a master on "smoothness"

Thanks Animera for posting the replay. My fisrt impression on Rudi and CT videos is their right use of the gearbox...they do whatever it takes to keep the traction. I was not sure about doing this due to the low HP of the car, but it think the results are obvious on both vids.

@CT: Super lap!

Congrats:

1---1'34.943---GTP_CRAZYTORTISE r=0.811 (d1/-0.196)

Nice vid, CT....thanks Animera!

2---1'34.974---GTP_RudiRaser r=0.859 (d1/-0.407)

Your vid as well, Rudi!!!

And all the other division and podiums.....and to GTP_Darkstar74 on the D5 top spot!

Nice lap!!

And for those that don't know. We often have a WRS room in the chat every night for the weeks WRS.

Is this in the Chat up above my MYGTPlanet and private messages? Are there seperate rooms?

I might try to join tonight.

Edit: I understand. Haha, I was always afraid to click on the Chat because I remember reading a transcript from a banning and it seemed like Chat was a wild place to hangout. Will check it out.👍

All I see on your replay is Week 6 replay: Rally of Monaco.

By no means am I questioning CT's lap, but when we check replays
are we supposed to be looking for overages here? Where's the legal limit
near the start/finish?

Thanks for the lessons Rudi & CT!

I believe in that part of the track pavement is the boundary, not the white line. The only parts that go off the white line as boundary is the exit of Chicago and Hammerhead because the track is so wide and can lead to shortcuts. So basically when you have the parallel white lines.

Where's the legal limit near the start/finish?
It's my understanding the picture is clean.

What can I say!
Great laps, gentlemen!!
mcfizzle had Chuk by .024 at T2, so great T3 Chuk.
The leaderboard has different splits for mcfizzle, though.

All I see on your (2smokes) replay is Week 6 replay: Rally of Monaco.
Same here.

I still have jbrinkley0826's replay to watch.

Great laps, gentlemen!!
Mcfizzle had Chuk by .024 at T2, so great T3 Chuk.
The leaderboard has different splits for Mcfizzle, though.

I only change my posted splits when the splits are faster and the lap is faster. Should I changed them to reflect my fastest lap every time?

Thanks for verifying my replay.👍

Same here.

Because he had the quickest T2 of the week I think, although ash had him by .001 mid week. I say let him have his glory for T2 after an outstanding performance by him and all other D3 members :)

Thanks for the heads-up.

Here's my replay and vids for the run; critques welcome and solicited! :)

A star with anyone driving other than me! :)

:)We will never see a split from me highlighted like that again.
But seriously, I have never updated my splits unless both the lap was my fastest and the added time of the 2 splits improved over previously posted time(I don't know if I am making sense). At the time that was my fastest lap and I never beat those splits so I left them. Is that going against the spirit of the rules? I guess I haven't really noticed anyone post slower splits that moved them down the board. I will start doing that if that's what people do.
