I've been running modified Iceman's tune (10/30/10 LSD, lower ride height) but didn't like the gears.
Here is what I came up with:

It utilizes all 7 gears. It's wide in gears 1-2, close ratio 3-5, tall 6 and 7. Since the majority of important turns happens at medium speeds having the middle three gears close together helps.
Shift at 8K.

Awesome gears @mr_lab_rat Unfortunatly I seem to have hit my limits in this track :guilty:
Oh well one more try tomorrow

Had another 30 laps last night. No improvement but consistently within .25 of my fastest laps for several laps in a row, then I bin it. Considering setting up a soup kitchen and tent on the double right before the bridge, maybe with a shrubbery, a nice one, but not too expensive.
Have tried various tunes and ended returning to my previous hodgepodge. Think I might just have to accept it's not my week. I like the car a lot. I actually quite like Suzuka, too. I'm just a bit poo at it!
Think I'll hold my fire for the next round, now. This statement is flexible... ;)

Setup should be in your messages box, if not I've got it
Thanks Phil. That was pre-gearbox revision. After your advice to shift early, I revised the gearbox and then adjusted the suspension to better attack Dunlop.
It was running really sweet but, all this happened during the PSN outage and I ran one lap, hit those last splits and then, without writing it all down, quit the game to reboot in the hope of getting back on PSN.

I am really liking all the settings sheets and, I'm using all of them to tune. I adjust one thing at a time, record the lap time in the name of the sheet, make a copy and rinse and repeat. All well and good but if the sheets don't save, it's a fail! Why can't we save car settings offline??! It's a bit crazy that we can share a paint job but not a set up. I'm contemplating a 'hey PD, I want an online garage where I can share my settings AND save them offline' thread,.. just need a catchy heading.. maybe a coffee first.

that you have to be online to get everything saved is really ridiculous

Little tip make a photo with your phone of your tune. I assume you have a phone with a camera  I make a photo of of my spilts too much easier than writing them down ;)
enjoy your coffee

I have been learning to use the sheets myself. I wish I would have named them with times. It took me a while to figure out which one was my best lap, after I was gone for a day. Next time, all my sheets will be named with best time

well after seeing my once decent time tumble down the board as the week has gone on, I've tried the latest gears and shifting advice and knocked a second off my time at the line after a 7 lap run! Makes up for the hammering my SR took at Monza last night!!

35.279
20.666
49.323

Ok.. I thought upfront that this was going to be a "bit easier" compared to last week... Boy was I wrong...
Got the iceman tune what a difference, you can really "throw" the car into the first corner, brake a bit and set it up for the esses. Although my times aren't that good, the most decent job sofar is

36,285
21,038
50,221

I know there is time to be found, but all together in 1 lap... pfieuw.. Gonna hit the track again !

And my car had a paint job. What do you think? look at the red detail on the rims :)
