Going to try and free up some time for this one, Been missing the fun

Can i submit laptimes of which I'm not signed in to the ps network? It would help me pertisapate alot more if I could
Yes, of course. đź‘Ť Fetchy can decode both offline and online best-lap replays.

First attempt following @TRL_WhiteKnight 's advance

17.288
46.855

Found alot of time staying in 4th for the first sequence of corners and not breaking, just shifting down to 2nd for the right left at the end of sector 2.

I'm surprised you all run with such strong brakes. I have troubles slowing the car down for the first sector hairpin unless I bring the brakes down to 1 in front (5 or 6 in the back).
My pedals are as crappy as they get (11 years old Logitech Driving Force Pro) :D

That's why I try to submit my time right after the first session early in the week. Fetchy lets me know if I got the right track, car, tires, power ...

Same here Mike, I learned the hard way.

On the final day of the week 66 time trail (Mazda LM55 VGT at Monza) I send my best lap time of the week to fetchy and it comes back rejected. The power limiter was set to 75.1% not the required 75.0%. :dunce:

Does the time of day change grip levels or is it just lighting preference?

It seems that temperature influences top speed, but i'm not sure if this matters for the Elan on Stowe.

That's a tricky part, seems to be best to brake earlier and feather the brakes, but the Elan has rather modest braking power overall.

I read the thread a little, and looks like the vehicles they are testing with won't have the same effect. They are saying that with the Tomahawk X, since it's going at 400MPH, driving in hotter conditions is better due to the air being less dense, the car can break through the wind with more ease. But if the air density really changes, in a Lotus Elan the air being denser should be better due to better carburation as we aren't going fast enough with this car.

But this is just my opinion.

I'd be surprised if temps influenced times, maybe thousandths.

0.099 diff @mcsqueegy !!! And an amazing lap, @Advqnce.

Grip should be easy to test though, brake fully with DS3 O button before start until stopping with different day times and check stopping distance with Motec or Data Logger. Will test it this evening. :D

What does it mean?

I think @tarnheld is correct, that is the only thing I can think of.

It has always been my understanding that the controller sensitivity is for the DS3 and makes no difference when using a wheel. Anyone know this to be something different?

Got to get the curbs and find a faster line through the hairpin

17.070
46.553

spotted your discussion on time of day etc. i was using the default time but for this lap I used 14:00 found the visiblity was better. no Idea if grip levels improved

Just a quick update on the time controversy: the temperature stays the same at every time of day, and i did a brake test at 8:00 and at 15:00 and looked at differences of the stopping point by checking the curbing, no visible differences. So i think that can be discarded as placebo.

My posted splits are from the default time but for my last couple laps this morning I switched to 16:00 time like @Advqnce said he is running, things on the track are much clearer and easier to see(braking points, turn in points) but I couldn't tell any difference in grip either.
