Captain Roh
It is ok to share splits mate, but you have to put them on the same line to avoid confusing fetchbot. Like this: 27.798,51.489,1'05.426,1'21.168,1'41.699.
Fortunetely you arent appearing in the leaderboards yet, if you wish to, include your GTP_ PSN into your avatar 👍
edit: Oh! You are on the board! lol. You need to slow down in my opinion though
So the fetchbot is not a real person!
That kind of creeps me out.
I'm sorry, I am new to the WRS. Did not know about all this automated stuff. Thanks for explaining 👍 I've run the TT and have been accepted by sjaak, he said he would add me during the week maybe I started a bit too soon? Sorry if so I'm anxious to get back on the track.

It's a tough track. With regards to the first corner, I tend to settle the car without hard braking, it's still hard, but not full on, probably 70%, as you can steer in a bit.
For the chicane, you need to be steady going in to the first apex, if you're steady and straight (use all of the kerbs) then the rest of the chicane is easier. It's difficult to do, you won't do it all the time. It's a track that rewards hitting it lap after lap to get the consistency and feel for what is a tricky track.
Thanks for the advice. I need to do what Jumpace did and run 20 or so laps straight to get myself into a rhythm. So far I've put about 90 minutes into it, but it was full of starts and stops and my knuckle still hurts after slamming it into a table out of frustration 👎

I've only test driven this combo, but on the week in the 599, I was using the white pavement stripes as a braking marker for turn 1. For that combo, it was the end of the 3rd stripe after SFL, this would probably be one line later, or more, with the R Tires.
Other areas, things like light pole shadows, start and and of grass, etc. Are helpful.
Hope that helps.
Hmm I forgot about those stripes. I remember using them with the Ford GT N tire online racing event. This will definitely help. Of all the turns T1 was biting me the most, but this should help remedy that.

The chicane (imo) needs to be entered as far left as you can get on that first yellow rumble strip on the left side. If you take that wide, that's easily a quarter second gone.
Yeah I noticed alot of people go into this turn alot more shallower then I do and they were quicker then me through the chicane because of it. Part of my problem is I try to take the widest angle to any turn possible when that's not always the fastest way around a track, case in point the twisty section at the end of Fuji or the esses at Suzuka.
Also I am somewhat of a cowardly driver, and I dont like turns like Degner 1 & 2 at Suzuka and the backstretch chicane at Daytona. Fast, narrow turns with little room for error. The Viper can handle a driver being aggressive with the wheel through the Daytona chicane. Its got loads of grip with the TZT tune and can handle as much steering input as you can throw at it. All you have to do is keep the speed low enough so it doesnt go off course. Just another example of a bad driving habit that is preventing me from improving.

Unlike Earth, I rarely use brake markers on the road and I only go by what I feel (and am usually within .1 of predicting my next T split ). Which serves me very well when it comes to tire wear and being consistent. But makes it hard for me to really improve my hotlap times unless I spend a bunch of time on it to memorize brake spots.

Well, Jump_Ace heres to spending the next few months TTing with you and the rest of the friendly willing to help members of the WRS
Hopefully, with the help of the WRS, we improve enough to our satisfaction in time for GT5.
I wont lie, I'm dreading going back to racing the Viper at DR because I dont see no room for personal improvement, but hey, no pain no gain. I think I need to experiment with this 'trail braking' technique. We'll see.
