You know the way that laps are invalidated at the chicane when you put 4 (or maybe 3) wheels on the grass? So, for the WRS does this mean that if the lap stays white in the chicane section, it will be allowed? Or is there an in-between; is it possible to stay white through the chicane, but break the WRS rules?
I'm well aware you need to keep 2 wheels on track. But down at that chicane, with the irregular shape of the curbs, it's a hard one to make out.
Yes, it is possible.
If in doubt, scrap the time.
Steward Comments:
This week, we'll make use of the PD online time trial at DR. It's been some time since we've had the opportunity to run a proper combo at DR, meaning an FR musclecar on race tires. It reminds me of the last online events in Spec II, when 750PP at DR was the event of choice.
When was that? I remember roughly when I joined the forum about two years ago a similar event was running; I'm using the very same car. It's a shame that such events aren't held online any more. It's not quite the same around HSR is it.
I have to admit, I'm loving this tuned Viper , I must remember to do a few laps around the oval too.

I notice in the previous event, the rules say that a 2nd opinion can be sought about whether a lap is clean or dirty. Does the same apply for this event; could I put a clip of my chicane pass on YouTube to get an opinion before submission?
I know - if in doubt, scrap the time. If I were judging my replay, I'd say 2 wheels are in. But my inexperience in judging replays for these events could be a factor.

Its very easy to see if you're off in the chicane this week. Just watch the replay in the default option. Dont switch to cockpit view or anything and you'll get a clear view of your car coming through the bus stop. Hope this helps 👍
Yeah, the first thing I did was record the replay to my PC. Backwards-external view is the only one to give the required view. At full speed, it looks fine. When scrolling through the frames, it's either clean, or inconclusive, to me. But a WRS regular may have another opinion.
Anyway, I sent EDK a clip, so I'll see what he thinks. Until then I'm going to do more laps and try to get a clean <=41.2 .
If you just remember that rumble strips are part of the track, that run looks to be easily clean. 👍 I can't see the left rear wheel on entry (Right side of track), but it looks OK to me. You do need to make sure it's on, from the back view.
And on that note, that's me all out; no way I'm going to improve that time!

What a thoroughly enjoyable week of WRS'ing! I didn't put too many laps in on the oval but running around the road circuit in the tuned Viper is as near as it gets to GT heaven on prologue for me.
