New Splits.

T1: 24.654
T2: 1'02.226

Very small improvement but as usual a bit of time can be found in the final sector of Fuji.

The last time I drove Fuji GT was way back in WRS week four in the Ford GT, oh the memories. :)

BTW... I have mild carpal tunnel in both my hands due to my previous occupation so doing any more than 10 laps really hurts.

Really. That's pretty tough. There's probably not much I can say that you don't already know. The main thing is to keep your hands/fingers completely relaxed, always with no tension, and have a good, thorough stretch out before and after playing. Most people may have a tendency to squeeze the controller, especially when the "going gets tough". I believe this is where most of the damage can be done, especially if you're already having that serious problem. The attraction of squeezing can be that it give increased stability, and can also make it easier to give more accurate inputs.

On most (if not all) car/circuit combos, the majority of the lap is spent on full throttle. So you need an input with as little resistance as possible. The classic config was to use X for throttle. This was bad enough with the PS1, but when these buttons became analogue, it was even worse because you really had to squeeze the button (and for the majority of the lap). So R2 may not be a bad option. (I use right-stick for throttle/brakes, left for steering)

If you get sore after 10 laps, then I really recommend trying to get used to the sticks. They have very little resistance, and also a much larger range of motion, compared to buttons.

Hopefully have a bit more time this week on what should be a fun combo and the first time I've run the GT circuit!

First splits:

T1: 24.601
T2: 1'02.025

This combo is so frustrating. :grumpy: More so than last week!

I'm just scratching at hundredths instead of dumping tenths. I hope i haven't found my limit already :scared: Heres my new ever so slightly improved splits:

24.611
1'02.237

Really fun combo. After first session

T1: 24.607
T2: 1'02.076

I see room for improving my T2

First splits,

24.739
1'02.232

Not the smoothest of laps, so fortunately I can see plenty of room to improve, especially T1.

Glad i have some time again to participate. Just finished my first session of about 20 to 30 laps. Man i love this car. And love the change form Fuji F to Fuji GT for once. Great choice. But turn 10 (the one instead of Dunlop of Fuji F) is killing me. Got it reasonable once, luckly it was the one with the best T1 and T2.

Wondering how fast you guys are going to turn 10. My lowest speed is 119km

My splits

24.616
1.02.139

I just checked my replay, 128kph at apex, 124 kph on exit. The key is to brake early then turn in early. I prefer the GT version to the F version, much faster and more flowing, the chicane just ruins all the momentum of the track.

I improved my T2 just a tad, but my T3 alot so at least theres some progress. I'm hating how the game gives you the splits of what ever laps you've run and not the ghost's splits

I'm hating how the split lines are right before the braking points! So it's really tough to look at them during the lap, especially the 2nd split.

So it's not just me that wishes the game would compare your lap to that of the ghost car's lap.

My splits would all be better if I could just put down one lap where all three sectors are faster instead of getting 1 or 2 of them to be quicker.

Never tried the GT version of this track before, and I never drove the RX-8... I'm doing pretty bad. Then I improved my final lap time twice, but both those times my T1 and T2 were ever worse. :( I'll keep trying, but there is something about this that isn't working out for me.

Did you qualify to race in the WRS nebojsa? Maybe were waiting on a new drivers post at the moment.

As a general rule though, all WRS participants include their division and class into their signature. Also, it is expected that you post at least one of your laps T1 & T2 times for the leaderboard. (You can update them as many times as you like.) To do this you also need your GTP approved playstation tag in your profile details.

Hope this helps. 👍

I agree with you there i've ruined many a good lap checking my 2nd split only to completely stuff the next corner. :dunce:

Yeah, I just qualified a day or two ago. I'm just not on the list yet. I'm Division 2 Bronze. I'll change my PSN name now, and figure out the signature later.

T1: 0'24.750
T2: 1'02.638

Welcome to wrs, I'm sure its ok with admin, but please remember to do your runs off line. 👍

  • Green areas, including grass areas are not considered part of the track
  • Use of the G25 Clutch (Or Any Clutch Device) is Prohibited
  • Your run must be done while being OFF LINE
Hope you have fun here with us, any help just ask.

Phillip

Did 8 more laps but fastest was lap 1.

T1: 24.860
T2: 1'02.315

I don't know how it's happening, but my T1 is getting slower and the rest of the lap is getting faster.

That's my problem too... I improved my overall lap time, but my T1 got slower...

And thanks for the welcome, and advice.

Managed to go even faster.. in all 3 areas of the track.

T1: 24:676
T2: 1'02.069

Really happy with this lap and if I don't improve any further I won't be disappointed in my results.

Ok thanks. Means there is time to win in that turn, for me.

At first i would shared that thought. But, i notice that i preform better when i don't chase my ghost and don't look at my splits. So after i putted in a good lap and don't do better within a couple of laps. I leave the TT and enter it again. With a clean board and no ghost.

That explainable. T1 is only 1 corner and the last sector are 4 corners. So if you hit that one lucky first corner and don't preform so good in the last 4 corner, it's easier to win time there, then win it in that one corner. Sounsds abit stupid but if you think about it.

@
If i look at the leaderboard i see i'm 10th at the moment. But if i select it on T1 i'm 9th. When i select it on the time between T1 and T2, i'm 11th. So that means, if got some work on that part of the track. A high 01 on T2 is possible for me. If i can do that and take turn 10 a bit faster (like Earth) and keep the last 3 turn the way i have them right now. I'm happy. Hope i can do that at the weekend.

Good luck guys

First and last attempt for me. Been quite busy so can't do every WRS anymore :(

Fun combo this. Wish I had more time.

T1: 24.452
T2: 1'01.443

Time submitted. Good luck to all 👍

Fantastic T2 there CT.👍

I just put in a few dozen laps and here are my splits for now.

T1: 0'24.482
T2: 1'01.660

I'm losing about 2 tenths at100 R and hairpin. Those are the main parts of the track I need to improve on. Great combo btw. I will hopefully try to improve in the next session.:)

Pfft, amazing times from Animera and CT.

Improvement, but still some little errors here and there.

24.506
1'01.789

Is the bot dead?

I thought I had quite a nice lap with

25.074 and
1'03.391

and a sweet last sector, but then I take a look at the board to see that it puts me at the end of the list again ... oh well, more laps are always nice at Fuji GT :)

To Nigel:
No, the bot is not dead but had a rather long glitch I'd say. I am already contacting Joost to see what has happened 👍
