GTPAAC: Week 16 - 1970 Dodge Coronet/Super Bee

okay okay okay, i finally talked to cano last night, and unfortunately i fell asleep before doing this. (lol)

so, without further delay, here's week 16 (thank god).

1970 Dodge Coronet, dedicated to cano

okay so....cano says he's getting a coronet. therefore, for his return, we will honor his future coronet!!!!!!!! 👍 draw the car as you would restore and customize it. make it your dream-coronet. lol.

i'm not entirely sure the blue car is the same as the red car, though the site says it's a 70 coronet. oh well....use your own interpretation.

Alright, I'm not used to doing such long cars, but after about 31/2 hours of putsing around with other sketches to get the lines on this one rigth, I think I did it. I TRIED to do a carbon fibre hood, but it didn't turn out too great. I tried to keep the bodykit aggressive, yet retain most of the lines of the original. Overall, I think it turned out nice, especially due to Chi-town in the background. Only things that irritates me is the way it narrows near the back end and the way the Roadrunner spoiler warps.

I may try some day to have some of those fender flares done for the car, but I dont think I will do such a heavy car a track star, so maybe when I get that 77 Trans Am I may. Fact is, yes, Im getting one of those soon (hope next week) so I want to see some ideas. Obviously, they HAVE to be very mild and subtle and tastefull, but you have to notice them.
I already have an idea of how the car may look, you'll see it. Anyway, try to get wild with this thing, and if you need reference pictures of the car, I have a DAMN ÑLOT, as a friend of mine has 5 of them (: and are all hardtops. mine is a hardtop, so maybe I should link them over, anyway.

yes it has to be a 70! I have been looking for one of those, the exact 70 model (its the only one with the split front end)- I found a couple of 69s (one of them big block) and 68s, but I didnt like them (that much, both were cool, but not as cool as the 70), it had to be a 70 =D

it'll end on friday. it might as well. friday is when we'll start the overhauled system.

and i know it's a good car. i just said it looks like a pile because of all the junk and trash in the interior. when it's clean, it'll look a lot better......even if it's just a little job of picking up trash, it makes a hell of a difference.

i know this guy who's son put bullet-hole stickers all over his db7 vantage, and had a bunch of his toys and crap all over the interior. it knocked so many cool points off.

I'll indeed have a ball dude, even if it isnt up to snuff now, but time will make it, dont worry. It's gonna be killer when I finish it, but it's gonna take a damn while... too much stuff planned for this one. and thanks for the weolcomeback man (:

now, Vipfreak... that thing looks awesome, except for the rear wheel as everyone has mentioned. I REALLy, and I MEAN it, REALLY like the front end treatment. If it wasnt so complicated, believe me, I'd adopt it, but it wouldnt let any space for the intercooler. the treatment is awesome, anyway... maybe some day later I'll do another one NA, and then maybe I'll use that thing. Work the wheel dude, cuz I'm voting ya.

Thanks guys... the rear wheel will be fixed and it will be colored (hopefully by the poll ). This may also go into my Industrial design portfolio if it works out
