General Information and Regulations

As with last season there will be three types of race event during the season. There will be 4 Standard rounds of 50mi and 5 Enduro rounds of 100mi and 1 Super-Enduro round of 150mi.

Week starts on Monday, with times to be sent via PM by 11.59pm GMT on Sunday

There is NO HP penalty for joining the series part way through the season.

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by GTPCTC sanctioning body, umm...me for now unless the GTMSA wants to pick me up :P. Any and all questions should be directed to GTPCTC officials (namely me..and anyone else who wants to help out) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manor.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by me for each round. Horsepower and/or weight settings are adjusted for competitive reasons each round based on finishing positions from previous rounds.

* Standard Online Racing Rules Apply.
* No Cheating, hybrids, etc. You must run the car specifications I give you
* Try keeping at least 2 wheels on course. Long races = small mishaps, but absolutely NO shortcuts. Touching Rumble Strips is okay as some tracks it's impossible to miss them...like Autumn Ring.
* No wall-riding as well. Combined with penalties, this will slow you down considerably, so don't do it.
* All decisions by GTMSA officials are final
* The race track for this season will be defined as the area between the white or yellow lines. This means rumble strips do not count as track.

Race

* Single race (arcade mode) lasting either 50mi (standard) or 100mi (enduro) with the exception of Round 9 which is a 150mile race, but will be considered an enduro.
* Weight penalties in place
* SS, SM, SH tires or any combination thereof
* Strong Tyre Wear
* AI difficulty is player's choice between 0 and 10. No negatives.
* Ai tyres SS
* Forced Pit Entry penalty system
* ASM is prohibited TCS is optional
* Points for race: 10-8-6-4-2-1

I intend to run a few races tonight, to see how my Chevy Camaro SS handles the Autumn Ring on medium tires.

I can't leave this race until Saturday since I expect to be at Lime Rock, CT watching the GS race in the Continental Tire Challenge on Saturday at 3pm. It takes me about 2hrs and 45mins to drive to Lime Rock. Perhaps I can pick up some 2010 GS "go fast" parts that I can sneak on my 2000 Camaro if SuperShouden is not looking. A seven-speed transmission would come in handy if I could get it to fit.

The Daytona Prototypes show up at Lime Rock on Monday, the 31st and get their chance to lap the 1.5mile "bull ring" that is Lime Rock.

Respectfully,
GTsail

Me too. Have fun at the races. Pulled up onboard video of the track. Not much room to run on.

I would watch the CTC race on Speed, but I'll probably be on the road to my grandparent's house. And because of that, I won't be getting to the results until Monday or Tuesday of next week, so be patient with me, k, guys?

Got my run in last night. Very enjoyable track. Might try again. But happy with effort if I don't. Didn't see any serious advantage for drafting so went with AI @ 0.

Yeah. I went with AI at +3 for GS and +1 with ST. got a single DTP with GS after fighting with a Volvo that REALLY didn't want to be passed. Despite the drive through, I managed first place with the GTO and fourth, I think, with the SRT4

:embarrassed:

Sorry SuperShouden, but I'm going to have to pull my ST class entry at the very least, possibly the GS too, but I'll do my best to hang in there.
Real life has basically done me no favours whatsoever recently and I've undergone something of a collapse with regards to my work this week. Consequently I'm concentrating more on getting back on my feet and what my future holds.
I do hope to get some time to run GS 350Z over the weekend, but it may be that I'm out in a real car trying to wrap my head around what's actually happening to me right now.
Look out for me at the finish line, but don't be surprised if I don't make it there for a while. :(

Greetings all fellow Autumn Ring drivers:)

I've submitted my times after a number of attempts.

I've had a great time driving my Chevy Camaro around the Autumn Ring! Its really quite fun! After five races,:crazy: I'm driving very consistently around the AR, so little additional speed seems possible.

My best race was on only 1 second better than my second best race, and it was only 1 second better than my third best race.:boggled:

I am having trouble making my front tires (mediums) last for 14 laps:grumpy:

I had a great time watching the GS class in the Continental Tire race at Lime Rock today. It started to rain slightly during the race and the cars began to slide around a bit. This allowed the Subaru Impreza that I was cheering for to move into 5th position and threaten the front runners for a while. It never rained hard enough for a switch to rain tires, so everyone just stayed on slicks as far as I could tell. The light rain stopped with about 35 minutes to go, so from then on the Subaru had to really drive hard to keep its place (which it did).👍 I was also cheering on the Camaro's since I'm driving one in SuperShouden's race series. They look and sound great!

Good luck with your races.

Dang, hope things come around for ya. :(

No addition runs. Memorial weekend yard work is king around my house. Time submitted. GL Smallhorses.

Yea, I'm submitted too. I did my GS race (Mustang) on
Thursday, but my ST today. My wrists feel like raw hamburger. :lol: All jittery and stuff.

What happened was I did the entire ST race with +5 difficulty. The MINI simply blew the field away, but I was okay with this. Just wanted to get it done so I can do other stuff today. Well, just before the end of the race, I always take a pic of the final tally with my cell camera. In this case, I screwed up.

Meant to press the START button on my DS2 just before the MINI crosses the finish line. Instead, I wound up pressing the START button just AFTER the MINI crossed the line. :mad:

In other words, if you press START after the race finishes, the screen goes blank and the replay starts. :mad::mad::mad::guilty: So guess what? I had no final tally to get a Total TIme from...which means I had to put the entire replay on >>>fast-forward>>> just to get a Total Time! :banghead:

Well, I put the replay on while I went for a quick jog. Made it back in time for the end. Well guess what? At the very end of the race, THE REPLAY CUTS OUT! :banghead: It apparently cuts off perhaps a second before one pushes the START button. So I HAD NO WAY OF KNOWING WHAT THE TOTAL TIME OF MY RACE WOULD BE.

OOOH I was so mad. I thought of starting the replay over and then 'estimating' what my time would be (by pausing just before the end of the replay) but that wouldn't be ethical.

Instead, I started the entire race over again, but this time I decided to step it up to +7 difficulty. Glad I did. Turns out I got an even BETTER overall time (most laps were 1:34s instead of 1:35s), and the race itself was one of the more awesome GT4 endurances I've ever encountered. A HOnda S2000 won, and I made 2nd. A Renault Cliosport V6 was my main nemesis. It led the race early but then SPUN out in the dual-kink area before the pit entry! :lol: I was laughng so hard!

I got into the pits before the ClioSport, and then was in 3rd place with a BMW Z4 and Honda S2000 up in front. The Beemer pitted and I eventually passed him (so did the Renault, unfortunately). Lap after lap, the Renault was in my mirror. I could out-pace him in the tight areas, but he'd catch up down the main straight. Finally, the 🤬 played dirty and PUNTED me in the first hairpin. This woulda been about Lap 16. But the MINI recovered nicely. At this point, we were both 1-2 (Honda had pitted).

The Renault got a bit of a lead. BY Lap 18, it was time for both of us to pit, and he almost lost up going up the hill! :lol: Sliding from the rear! At the top of the hill, the Renault nearly spun again, but I couldn't manage to get ahead of him before we both pulled into the pits.

So it's now Honda S2000, BMW, Clio, and me (other 2 cars, a Mercedes 190E and '92 Mitubishi Lancer didn't matter). The BMW eventually pit and the Clio got far ahead...like maybe 12 seconds or so, but this wouldnt' last. :guilty: Why? Because the 🤬 pulled into the pits on Lap 26. Woo hoo!

The Honda S2000 also pit (lap 25), but it was way ahead of all of us at this point and would no doubt be the winner. I was just glad to whoop that damn Clio Sport for punting me. :lol:

phew

I would watch the CTC race on Speed, but I'll probably be on the road to my grandparent's house. And because of that, I won't be getting to the results until Monday or Tuesday of next week, so be patient with me, k, guys?
:)

Edit: Congrats to Parnelli for the double Numero Uno. I ran SS for the whole race. To try and keep you guys in sight. I'm guessing that most of you ran SM, by the looks of the fastest laps. Am I correct?

Actually, I didn't win ST class, an Ai driver did (Honda S2000) har har...me trying to be funny. :rolleyes:

And actually, I ran SH tires on the Mustang from laps 1 thru 10 and 10 thru 20. I then used SM tires for the remaining 7 laps. The results don't show it, but my fastest lap on SH tires was less than a second slower than SM tires.

ST class: I used SH tires all the way, pulling in for front tires only at laps 9 and 18.
