What was everyone using for tires and stuff?....

I've been using a mis-matched set of SM/SS tires at the races. My Camaro gets un-even front to rear tire wear, so I'm trying to balance this out. I have done some short stints on sport softs all-around, but generally stick with the mis-match. I have yet to even try the sport hards. I usually find that using the hards and skipping a pit stop is no advantage in the race. While going faster on softer tires even with an extra pit stop, does end up being an advantage in overall race times.

In the most recent race at Deep Forest, twice I stretched the tires beyond their useful lives and drove on very orange tires for most of a lap. In a shorter race I might have tried some other tire combinations, but I didn't have time to complete any other hour long races just to test the tires.

True about the uneven tire-wear. Anybody else ever notice how Bob somehow wears the rear tires fastest on a FR car? It must be why he's so slow. I always wear out the fronts first, unless the car's very balanced.
