Yea yea...I'm hoping my 300 horses will destroy the Z-car at Fuji down that long straight. (insert diabolical laughter here) Of course, I probly should have used hard tires instead of mediums. I had a feeling those 5 pitstops would be a curse.

Sheesh, what happened to ST class? Where did everybody go? Even my main competition in the Type R Civic didn't show...

I was able to get away with running an SM/SS (F/R) combination that would last 10 laps (mildly orange by the end of each stint) without loosing too much time, and broke the race into 4 equal parts with 3 stops.
Nice fastlap though! I presume that was run on a set of SS tyres at the end?

WHAT??? 10 laps on SM fronts? and you've got Strong Tire Wear, correct? I'm only able to get 7 laps at best on mediums, and the fronts would be deep orange in either ST or GS class. I tried going 8 laps (4 pitstops) for GS class as an experiment, but that 8th lap zapped way too much time as I struggled to keep the 'Stang on-track, which means it was best to just go 5 pits (I tried a race both ways).

I was using SM tires the entire time in GS class, and believe me I wanted to get those 1:45 hotlaps every time, but most laps ranged in the low 1:46's, assuming tires were warmed up and I didn't have to deal with getting around straggly Ai. But I did use soft tires for the MINI in ST class towards the end.
