We also had a unfortunate come together. But looking at the vid its hard to say who's the blame. I'll say 50/50 on this one.

I had trouble with damage from Ronin and traffic so i lined up to take the turn.
Never saw u at all. Tuff call i agree. Buuutt u could have yielded and lined up behind me.I see U had moved up on the Nissan & had momentum which is addictive and costly .40/60 lol

Stewards meeting tonight?

I'll make a room and we can meet and discuss the incidents at hand as well decide on what to do.

Honestly Id like to report one but in my position it makes it seem as if I am chasing the win. So with that I'd like to find a resolution.

We can discuss more in our meeting.

Stewards that can make the meeting:
Please list time you can be on and all

1) OwensRacing (5pm-11pm EST)
2) hon1987 ( 11-30pm- 1am gmt)
3)
4)
5)
6)

Jav we really need you in the meeting cause you have the final say.

I'm in for an hour or 2.

May I join in Owens? I don't think the complaint about the race in div.2 was called for. I opened a room around 4pm and started the time trials a tad late and the race a tad late. It was my first time. I have a 4 hr window set aside just for Sunday's racing. What happens in life for other people isn't my priority during Sunday's racing. All the racers need to have a good amount of time put aside for Sunday.
I agree.

Thats the truest thing i have heard all day. Momentum is soooo addictive lol. When you get a run on someone you dont ever wanna back out lol.

I'm sure next time the race will be faster, or started in a more timely fashion. My kid usually sleeps for a good hour and a half, more or less. Just the timing when he got up, it was dinner time. I had to feed him. Better luck next time.

We'll here's a good tip 4 all u addicts of momentum.Use it to overtake 1 car at a time.Reset yourself 4 the next momentum.

Keep in mind you guys that i use the front hood view point when driving. It allowes me to see about 3 cars in front
I can see left, right, & rear using Dpad. I can see u before a turn & when we exit but not when we're in a turn.
Hopefully this will help those behind me.

Wow, I had no idea of the intensity of some here. I apologize if I ruined your race Tao. There is also another side to that incident we had, my Internet connection may have given meza different picture. Also have you ever raced in real life? Depth perception is much better when your using just your eyes buddy. I shall refrain from discussing in any further, pm me.

You need more time for Sunday's racing than just an hour & a half.

Map Scale 1 is a god sent. Set it and get used to using it and you will be much cleaner in traffic. ;)

I cant get anything to upload to youtube that is longer than 3 mins..... i tried to upload 14:11 for the Round 1 start and it just hung up a 0%

why don't yall post comments in my jtv page especially with the time/lap and incident, and racers, If you all need more angles then I can get them up later tonight... On jtv none of the comments are private, this way most of the discussion will be public and there will be space for discussion and defense or explanation of incident.
HERE IS THE LINK AGAIN TO a SEEKABLE RACE REPLAY from two angles

I'm not going to complain but i have every right too. I just want to get on to Indy and put Spa behind us. there are drivers that are way to aggressive out there

All i want to do is post a cool replay of the race. I have the whole race capped and chopped into 15 minute segments but they wont upload to Youtube. It was amazing race that any visitors to the thread should be able to watch.

What's the recommended PP settings for your TV when playing racing games mines at 720p which is best?

are you using an hdmi cable. I assume so. some games only support 720p but GT5 supports 1080P so it could get better. but 720P is better in a way. Jsut use 720p.

You mean like this?
Well yeah but im not self centered am I lol?

I wanted to show all the action. Every1 has t.v time lol

Thats what I did in season 1...I would look for battles on the map and switch the camera over to that car....but it was a lot harder with the 2 different classes...

Honestly if us racers can try and recall laps where we had good tight passes or side by side type racing. Then the person doing video be a lot easier for you.

;) this skip lap thing should allow for much better video highlights.

Before I did the camera Bounce or honored the race winner. :)

I run 1080p, however capturing 1080p is a bit of a chore and is a chore that i dont have the equipment for. The video posted above is admittedly of marginal quality but it was more of an test to see if i could get a video to be that was that long to transcode and upload, in one shot. It seems to have worked, next time, I wont use as much compression and use a wider aspect ratio. I have to say though, that while watching it back, people, and not necessarily those featured in the videos, repeatedly cut the top of eau rougue and going wide at malmady and puhon. With the long straights after these corners, much time can be gained doing so. I guess we are moving past this first race so I don't want to dwell on it except to say that the stakes are a bit higher this time around so lets try to be as fair as possible as i would hate to see this series decided off the track rather than on. I will be practicing an a couple hours after I'm done "working" (quotes intended), I will try and post the room # if anyone is interested.

I know in future races I shall pay more attention to the lap # of incidents there owens, if everyone does so, it will be much easier for me to collect the incidents from a race in one or two shots, whereas before I had to just leave the replay running and hope for the best.

Blaze, you replay came out the best of the three I did so I posted that one, and I did it quickly, so I could get it posted in a timely fashion....

First 3 laps had action up front. Then around 8-9 I caught Veloci iirc (dont remember much of a battle though).. then was running solo up till lap 25.

The official season started on sunday, you have the right to change cars once without taking any penalties. However both Vipers are already taken on D2.

Official results updated.

Do you use HDMI?

Yes, however, capturing ps3 video via hdmi is at least problematic and in certain instances impossible. This is due to the hdcp protection built in to the cable and hdmi ports. There are DIY solutions that are possible but nothing that will work consistently that is consumer grade because of various legal issues. As video production is a hobby of mine, I was going to upgrade to some sort of hd setup when the whole 3d fad started. This caused me to reconsider, and I have decided to wait until 3d (or 2k or 4k as the case may be) capture devices become a little more affordable and to see what the easiest, most effective way or capturing high quality video as well as at least 5.1 audio from a variety of devices.
I mention all of this in hopes that one of you have a suggestion or two. I'm also here if anyone has questions pertaining to audio and video creation and editing.
As of right now, my setup is this, eyetv hybrid (captures 640x480 video over coax as well as 5.1 sound via optical cable, and for the ps3 and comca$t's new broadcasting system which cannot be captured over coax as it is encrypted, I use component cables for audio and video). The primary benefit of eyetv for me is that it is primarily for Mac, is updated frequently, and the software is quite good. It also has an integrated scheduling and guide system as well as remote viewing software that was the first of its kind for the iPhone. It is also hackable and flashable and has an efficient encoder that has both efficient and customizable workflow capability and is written for 64 bit processes which means that it uses all of my ram as well as Gpu encoding natively.
Sorry to hyjack the thread a bit but y'all seem interested so I thought I'd just get this all out now instead of later.
