how come last time i seen you on spa you had default williams skin?

Because you need to edit your subscriptions on trading paints. You have to set it to automatically download/delete new and old skins. Go to options/subscriptions and select the cars you want to use, the service does the rest for you! Here's my F1 skin:

So the average racer will always see my default skin?

Here's me thinking i'm boss in my red hot ferrari and their probably thinking bah ugly williams haha

Lol!! A lot of the guys running the F1 are using Tradingpaints so the most probably do see it.

just so you guys know...I think the series may need to be postpone the series until this glitch gets fixed......We cannot have rooms bigger than about 10 people. Or else there were be this glitch where your about 10 - 15 seconds slower and suffering from catastrophic understeer...............Just happened in our GTP ALMS race where we had 16 people running.

And the worst part is that the glitch effects everyone differntly. Some peoople are 7 seconds, some 14 seconds off pace.........Atleast if it was the same for everybody then it woould be fair. but its not.....

Race i had today.. a guy in a default and other in a one color scheme.:ill:
Yeah, you need to edit your subscriptions. Many people just use the plain 1 color instead of the Williams as a default. iRacing can't alter the Williams livery due to contractual agreements. That's why the template was offered for download by "mistake" just for a few days.

I agree Blaze, I rage quit that race because of the stupid wear and ridiculous lag I was seeing. Understeered into a wall, turned arround and lost half the tires, wich lead to yet another spin and being left with no tires at all on the tunel! No fun at all, I'm finding this game harder and harder to enjoy every day...

Crap! I did test it, but forgot to upload the screenshots!! My bad, will do tonight!

No problem. Whenever you get the time.

Well, we can postpone if you guys want. I have no problem with that. I'd like to see what the next update (later this month of January) has in store for us. If worst comes to worst Jav, we can always turn tire wear off and turn ABS or something else off (on) to compensate? Or something or other? We could just host another National Stupid Drivers Day (NSDD)!

I've been in relatively small rooms this past week, so I really didn't see any problems. I did join a couple larger rooms and there were problems. Invisible racers, lag (minor and severe), unexplainable physics, incorrect position display on the drivers list (this part seems to happen only in the freerun mode)...The list can continue on, but at this point, you get the point. No pun intended, thank you. It is a bug that has actually been around before 2.0, and is really starting to manifest its ugly head a lot more recently.

I swear, some of the updates we get tends to create more problems than they actually solve. Oh well, live and learn I guess, But, how long will it take to learn?

we had to limit the field to 12 and under to keep from having these same problems in another series!

National Stupid Drivers Day! Come on guys! Eh, eh? Oh, whatever!

On another side note, anyone want to try a track created in course maker? I think you guys may like this one. I can host a room with it so you can try it before you download it (If you guys actually like it enough). Just need the date and time that's best for everyone.

Another suggestion to lag, like I said already, is to have a private lounge. I did some running with TOCA today, and this is over 10 people at once, from all over the world, and with only a few lag problems, which were probably because we were using our headsets, which wouldn't be possible for the races. I don't want to disconnect from pole again. :(

I wouldn't mind another delay of this race until next week or so. I've had so much other things to do anyway, that i've yet to get much practice in at all for GTPFIA. GTPLMP season finale today, TOCA season opener today, as well as a race i'm hosting in F1 2011, a full distance, fully realistic race, also today! You're all welcome ot join my F1 2011 race, jsut check the thread in the F1 2011 forum here.

I would be fine with a delay as well. I've really noticed the lag problem with any more than 12 people in the race. It's unfair with the inconsistent lag as well, creating advantages for some and not the rest. With so much at stake, I'd hate to have it go to **** because of a connection issue. My clio race was already bad enough the other night, and with higher power cars on a more technical track, chaos is bound to ensue.

And that will free up my predicament I'm in for Sunday scheduling, as I wanted to go to my girl's karate tournament, but said I couldn't for this race. Yea I know, priority issues, but dammit, i want that chair ;p

I agree I dont think the lag had as bad affect on me as others in lastnights ALMS race, but I dont want to be in another race where anyone is lagging or understeering badly due to PD's lack of fixing glitchyness. I say postpone the season untill this gets resolved.

Lag sucks. Glad I've been pretty lag free myself lately. Seems many are having issues. Which does stink.

Personally. I say we race. However if others lag is bad. Then I see why a postponement would be considered.

Either way let's freaking race. I miss my Viper and wanna try this tire wear out.

Yes Owens I agree

Maybe we could get together tonight with a full room and see how it goes before making a final decision, the ALMS race was really really bad and the last thing we want is to let something like this decide a championship.

It was bad @ alms, raced today with only 13ppl at le Sarthe and didn't have any lag.

For me at alms times were bad but the car felt the same, others reported different handling though.

luckylefty2gunz
i say we race i have not had those really bad lag issues that i have heard about. I think people are making up excuses...lol

I do not think your getting what the issue really is..... Lag aside.....can you explain why half the LmP2 grid was running 7 seconds slower than qualifying times on new soft tires In the race while the other half of the lmp2 grid was running 15 seconds a lap slower than qualy times on new soft tires. Lag is not as bad as this new glitch where the cars are suffering for severe under steer to different extents. How would you like it if I was running 4 seconds off pace but you where running 10 seconds off pace.... Because the glitch is so random and effects people differently it's not fair at all.....

We should run a test race tonight with everyone. I never believed the understeer glitch until i was running 15 seconds slower than I qualified and suffering from a horribly handling car in our GTP alms race

The issue is not lag! It's the ridiculously different physics that give you a crap handling car be. The room is too big....it's very easy to tell if the bug is affecting you.
At the start of te race where practice indicate that race pace would be 1:28's tissimo was running 1:36's. I could only run 1:44's! And we were driving the same damn car in the same damn class!! The result is even though we both experienced the bad handling his car was 9 seconds faster than mine. Wtf is wrong with that picture.

Yes in the beginning the cars was underivable :ouch: with 16 people in the room!!!

Add to that the fact that if you spin out your tires are done, your race strategy is gone and you'll be lucky to reach the pits!
