I'm a Pats man!![]()
The patch is now up, 79MB. No further information yet.
Patch notes now added:
A new update has been released for Gran Turismo 5.
The main contents of the update are as follows:
- Improved the performance of online races to provide a better racing experience. However, please note that using voice chat by 12 or more players can reduce screen refresh intervals.
- Reduced wobbling of the screen when using the Chase view. (The Chase view is when the car is viewed from the rear during races and replays, selected by switching views using the SELECT button)
- Electric cars (opponent cars and your cars in B-Spec) will now pit-in automatically to recharge the battery.
- Reduced the amount of steering pull when using force feedback steering wheel controllers in banks of tracks such as the Special Stage Route X Oval.
- The initial force feedback of Logitech steering wheel controllers when driving formula cars, has been made milder, and was adjusted to make it easier to drive in a straight line.
Applicable controllers: Driving Force™ GT, G25 Racing Wheel、G27 Racing Wheel, GT Force®Pro, GT Force®、Driving Force™, GT Force®RX and Driving Force Wireless
Applicable cars: Red Bull X2011, Red Bull X2010, Ferrari F10, Ferrari F2007, Formula Gran Turismo
[Correction of Known Issues]
- Fixed an issue where speedometer, position and/or best lap time is sometimes not displayed on the 2nd player side of the 2P Split Screen.
- Fixed an issue where exhaust noise is heard even after changing from a combustion engine car to an electric car in the same online race.
- Fixed an issue where if the game is started without signing in online and then saved, the cars and tracks included in the Racing Car Pack and Course Pack would become unusable.
- Fixed an issue where electric cars would not recharge in the pit and become immobile.
- Fixed an issue where when the oil of the Toyota Prius was changed in GT Auto, the motor ceased to function correctly.
- Improved the force feedback of the Guillemot Thrustmaster T500 RS, where the 10 level adjustment of feedback force (Especially when using the X2010 and X2011) was not working effectively. Also improved a condition where it was difficult to drive in the intended path.
- Improved the force feedback for the Logitech Driving Force™ GT, G25 Racing Wheel, G27 Racing Wheel and GT Force®Pro, where the 10 level adjustment of Feedback Force (Especially when using the X2010 and X2011) was not working effectively.
Additional information:
DLC cars can now be sold.
The VW Beetles weight is now correct.
He, he. And I live in New England! Oh well.
By the way, I only meant the last post as a joke. Sorry if I offended you. It's just part of my nature. If I did offend you, I'll stop.
<-- Anyways, avatar change! YAY!!!
The Ford Test car is banned now? Jav, if so which cars are available in Div 2? I probably have some of them.
Racing begins at normal time on Sunday for all Div2 driver's. Remember, no tire where and no softs. Mediums and hards are the tire choice.
1st question:
Jav, are we going to have a mandatory pit for this Sunday's race? I think we need atleast 1 or 2 stops.
We need some final details please.
2nd question:
Are you splitting Div1 into two groups? Please say yes. lol
For div1 the wear will still be on with softs banned. If you guys would like to turn wear off and do 1 compulsory stop in Div2 I have no problem with that, but we have to make a decission now and make sure everyone understands that a stop is mandatory.Racing begins at normal time on Sunday for all Div2 driver's. Parts are unrestricted as long as you meet the Spec for the car.Hmm...I have the white Ford GT Spec, but it has a Super=charger.I must have acquired it back in the days when I juiced everything up to the max. Probably when I was grinding B-spec to level 40.
I can change to default, no super charger. But not sure that the rev indicator on the tac will change back over to default?
Jav, can I hop in the R35 TC or a Zonda for Sarthe of I can make it?
Oh, can I switch to the Fiat 500? I heard that it dominates Circuit de la Sarthe, better than those damn X1s!![]()

We will run with tire wear on.👍 I was reading the info from the 1st page.
Well its just for fun now, Jav want change my car... Maclaren F1 GTR

So we need to use two type of tires? medium and hards with pit windows??
Or just one? and pit mandatory?
Are you sure you wanna make the change Pipi? The McLaren is a great car good choice!
Only difference now will be the ban of the softs pipi, no required stops, no required change of compound. You can do the whole race on mediums if you so desire.
Just got done compiling my custom playlists for GT5 from GT2, GT3, and GT4 (all NTSC versions)!
Also, Jav, when you get the chance, can you update the OP with the updated regulation and rules changes. It's getting kind of confusing now. First I thought that tire wear was off, now I hear it's back on. I prefer it back on myself. Sorry, but I think it would benefit us all. Also, it may help to place the date of the change next to the update as well.
