You know, with the season not starting for another 2 weeks I'm feeling like some nice low powered touring car action... who's in?

I race in the PAL uk time works fine for me 👍 i guess you chose the american times that suits you over there 👍

What series...I'm looking to join another one since my manufacturers championship ended

Masi's GT500 & GT300 series. Had to join something to keep my racing fix going. lol

What's the official word for the race at LaSarth the weekend after the Super Bowl?
I would also like to see the Points Standings for Division 2 from the Nurimburg GP updated. Pretty please with sugar on top, Jav. I give ya some candy. lol

If someone would like me too open a room up for Practice races im willing to do so but you need to turn up. I would love to see what difference the rules have made to this series such as the people who have gone to the white fords. 👍

Edit: I have room open already got 2 random people in persuading them to join GT1 hahha

Room number: 1472 6681 3716 3555 0797

So, with PSN going down, SEN coming online on the 8th and an update the same day I'm really hoping that the online bugs are resolved or am I expecting too much?

It's going to be interesting, that's for sure. The PSN isn't actually going to disappear, it's only becoming part of the SEN, which is "a global comprehensive network platform of services across games, movies, music and more, all accessible from one convenient account", so there really is no change there other than the name. The details about the next update are scarce except for a minor fix to drift trial replays. We'll see if more information will be released before Tuesday.

The update is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7, 2012, after a scheduled maintenance, currently scheduled between 03:00 and 04:00 GMT (around 10:00 and 11:00 EST (US and Canada GMT-5)) the same day, according to the News article on GTPlanet. Click here.

Hoping the online bug will be fixed completely by a single update may be stretching it though. :P

That right there tells you where PD's priorities are. Hoping for the best here...

There are far more serious and sometimes game breaking bugs that do need to be worked out, like the pit bug at Nordschliefe. Not to mention the abnormal loading bugs that lead to a black screen (offline and online), which is by far the most annoying on to me. Something changed drastically with the last one as the black screen never happened to me before all these updates. I think it had something to do with the update that allowed you to tune your car while the game loads the race, offline speaking. That's when it became more apparent. Major bugs need to be ironed out before the small ones.

Look at Bethesda and their latest game, Skyrim. They're doing an amazing job with their updates (even though the second one produced more bugs that were actually at times pretty hilarious, such as the backwards flying dragon), with the first three just coming out of the first month it was released alone. It's been a while since another update was released, but from what I've seen so far, it's worth the wait. They know what they want, and they know what their fans want. I just want them to fix the serious lag issues on the PS3, though it has been much less severe than when it was first released. That's all I want from them. I'm just using them as an example, not a comparison. But now I'm getting off topics here. Sorry about that.

No racing tonight...super bowl

Maybe someone host some practice races then idea?

Edit: tell you something that corvette feels like its on steroids with the Tire simulation off. Does anybody know what difference it will make between the cars competitiveness?

PSN is basically merging with the SEN (Sony Entertainment Network), so the PSN isn't essentially closing down, it's just getting a name change. The SEN is "a global comprehensive network platform of services across games, movies, music and more, all accessible from one convenient account" explained by Sony. It's nothing to worry about. You'll still be able to play games online on the PS3. How well they'll perform after, that's to be seen.
