Thoughts, wishes, greetings, thanks . . . this is the occasion, I realised, that would be perfect for such a mishmash from me - and all of you if you wish, right here together.

All in all it was a very good year.
I say 'all in all' because there was a downside - I didn't get to hang out as often as I wanted over here at GTPlanet.
Sometimes a quick cruise to catch up on the site News, sometimes a check on the GT6 AI Hub for further developments, and maybe even sometimes a bit of a read as I browsed through all the great conversations in here - but not as much time as I needed to travel 'The Planet' as I sometimes did in the early years, making threads here there and everywhere, posting pictures like a dervish. So that was the downside, not enough time - but really - in a fast-paced info-world who has time for 'foruming'? (or so the people tweeting, and facebooking, and YouTubing, and googling and txting say - but, whatever.)
The upside is that it was a most excellent year to look back on when I think of the success that the GT6 AI Hub turned out to be - and the many new friends I made playing Gran Turismo using GTPlanet.

If not that GTPlanet has all these tools in place to aid us players the game would be a lack-lustre shadow of a game, hardly playable alone for long.

Thank you, Admins, and all you GT6 mods that also help run online and offline events - you do a great job keeping the place professional, threads under control, and the pace active and enjoyable.
May your season be merry and bright and the New Year ahead one of the best you can have.

I met many new friends this year - @hall90, @MTM79, @nowayback, @WhoosierGirl, @StirlingMoose, @TRL_Andromeda, @Ed_Night - all superlative drivers and the most amazing players world over to ever meet and hang with. To add to the great company @steve nfs , @DisabledRacer and @TheInfamousJEW6 (no slouches behind a wheel either) also joined in to make more than just an acquaintance and become fast friends to rely on.
All the best in the New Year to all of you, and many thanks - and here's hoping you have as merry a holiday season as anyone could wish for.
Yes, I've sent many letters to Santa about your good deeds.

Old friends joined me there, too - the amazing @Vic_Reign, tyrant of Apexland, and the Baron, a great sidekick to have, and I thank you for such great friendship and loyalty - may you have the very best year ahead, and a very merry Christmas - and much appreciation for bearing with my occasional inscrutability and half-wittedness. You guys rock.
There were so many more of you out there in GTPlanet's GT6 landscape that dropped in to help as well as join in the fun, too many to mention - and here's looking at you, too.

Much appreciation this year, too, to @eran0004 and @Giulietta73 who helped launch the GTPlanet Course Maker Help Desk and once again to that InfamousJew who helped out tremendously and was joined by @Diego440 and @SCClockDr who chipped in with great contributions.
Members like this who contribute selflessly to enhance the game for us, who are patient and informative are pure gold at this forum and I was lucky to meet up and work with them this year - making it all the more 2015 a year to remember.
May you all have a wonderful New Year and the very best of the Season.

A huge thanks to the indefatigable @nowcontrol for the tremendous work he does at the Seasonal Forums - it would not be the same without his lead - and it was a successful year for that subforum - always active, always something going on and harmless give and take that only added to the edge of excitement we felt about every new event.
You guys out there tearing up the A-Spec races - @Polsixe, @dddsprayshop, @Dotini, @SVPSkins, @skeagracing, @GTRufus, @coryclifford, @Fuzzi0n, @UltimateLurker, @Mt. Lynx @GTsail290, @Draggon, @RCKakashi14, @shaunm80, @chrisdittmer (who is also a 'GTPlanet Dad' ) @luv2drive, @Wydopen, @CowboyAce57, @Thomas2012, @Racin510s, @JockeP22, @JohnBM01 . . . so many of you I had fun with that the list is very, very long . . . you guys provided great company at the Seasonals, always polite, helpful, and every ready to rock and roll whenever someone slipped the funny coin into the jukebox - you guys made this year great fun, and every visit to the GTPlanet Seasonal Forums one that left me happy to be a member of GTPlanet and thankful we have such a great site that attracts great guys like you.
May you alll have a super New Year ahead of you and the bounty of the Season be rich with its thanks for all you have provided as players and GTPlanet members.

Even if you were just snowmen and melted away as nothing but a memory - the memories are keepers.

But the year of GT6 at GTPlanet was not the only part of a very good forum year - there was also the Photomode Forums where I made many new friends - even with the limited time I spent here, and other Forums such as the . . . wait . . . where am I?
Ah! Yes, the Rumble Strip. The main drag of the planet.

Now here's a huge bunch of people I'd like to reach out and shake hands with - some of them internet buddies going back five years with me.
But I'll do that another time.

Maybe one of you others can take the stage and tell us about your highlights this year at GTPlanet and what it meant to you, and the members that made your day - and maybe take the chance to give a friendly wave to someone who made your visits here the best experience on this inanimate entity we call the social internet.
I'll be back later to embarrass more of my shady GTPlanet friends.

I wasn't tagged. :(
So, I'm going to stay clear of this thread.

@kikie - my dear bud, this thread is an opportunity for you to tag those that made your year at GTPlanet a memorable one. A moment to take them 'out of the fridge' (did you watch the movie I threw in to illustrate my feelings?) and say 'Hey! Buds! thanks for the great time. Yeah, you! And you, and ,you and you, too!'

Sometimes we take it for granted that those who make us happy know they are making us happy - but this is not always so.
It is that moment you meet a perfect stranger and they say: 'Hey! I remember you! You were the one that gave me your spot in the line-up at the groceries when I was in a hurry, remember?'
And you remember them right away. Because that was the day the delay caused you to meet that special someone, and changed your life forever.

The people I've mentioned are only the people from a certain GT6 subforum (Seasonal Events) that I've hung with this year at GTPlanet - and who made a place for themselves in my fond memories of GTPlanet.
They were my snowmen from this year - and I will look for them whenever it snows for I know when we get together we're going to have the very best light show.

There are still many others I have to thank for a great year - believe me I have a ways to go before this year ends. I have people to tap from the general GT6 Forums, from the various Photomode Forums I dive into, from the Opinions Forum, and yes . . . from the Rumble Strip - where I've hung out most in the last five years

How about you? How was 2015 for you at GTPlanet?
And, yes - A very merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year!
What can I say about you?
Well . . . you're the most adorable Belgian I've met on the internet.
I have no problem meeting a Belgian IRL now. 👍 :D
And thanks for all the laughs.

Hey @photonrider !
Thanks for the kind words! I didn't expect to be tagged in a thread like this. But I love it.👍 It makes me very happy, that my videos are helpful here in GTPlanet and also do keep the GT6 fans entertained! For me this makes it very motivating to continue producing GT6 content, despite it seems a bit outdated.

Anyway, I hope you will have a merry christmas and of course a happy new year!

Greetings from Switzerland, the land of chooocolate *mmmhhh*

Thank you very much. You definitely know how to make someone feel good about themselves.

My first post about not being tagged was absolutely without a doubt, ..... a joke. :) Nevertheless, I got tagged twice already in this thread. :D

Well I don't remember much about "my GTplanet 2015" year. I haven't been online that much. It took me more than 12 months to "post" a thousand posts.

I met two perfect stranger IRL but this was in 2014. I'm talking about @DustDriver and @Small_Fryz. Definitely the most important and best day of my 11 years of being a GTplanet member.
Another thing I will never forget, unless I get Alzheimers or something like that, is that @daan gave me premium for life.

Also a big thanks to all the members whom added me to their friendship list.

What I also appreciate is that all the mods have been patient with me over the years. I definitely deserve a few infractions and still never got one. I have an excuse though. My brain, due to a genetic problem, short circuted many times (I was only diagnosed with, 3 times, a very severe clinical depression. No other psychological problems were found during the psychological, personality etc tests I had to take during my depressions). Luckily I've learned how to deal with it and I can proudly say that I became a better person. LOL

I think it was during 2015 that I decided to change my posting style. From a negative to a more positive posting thanks to ..... and a little bit thanks to ...... . It was a wake up call for me. :D
This very hard for me to admit that they were right, although IRL, I'm a postive guy with a positive look at life.

@TB is the only mod that occasionally likes my posts, which is a very nice thing to do. Thanks @TB. :D

How am I doing so far? Is it a good post?

Merry Christmas!

Well, for me this year was more of a realization that I wish I could be on this wonderful community more. I read the posts from members who have extended their reach far and wide and are known throughout the site and have to admit I'm a little jealous...not because of the recognition, but because of all the friends that have been made. Fortunately my reasons for not having time to hop around the 'Planet (let alone play GT6) are legit - most of the year was spent dealing with real life shenanigans, such as minor trifles like graduating college. Fortunately, that chapter concluding and the next one beginning leaves me with much more time on my hands than before, so my ultimatum to myself is to reach out on here more from here on out.

Lovely post, by the way. I hope you and everyone else reading have a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year. Here's to 2016!

:@:Photonrider thank you for the shout out, you are most welcome and it's been a pleasure. :D

Big thanks to all the Admin that Keep GTP going. :@:daan :@:TB :@:Famine (and anyone else i may of missed)

1, :@:shaunm80 for giving up your time to provide us with the best tunes possible. I know it takes alot of your time to do what you do. so thank you

2, :@:RuddRacer and hall90 for keeping me on my toes in seasonals and being great tutors, helping improve my race craft and for the fun banter we've had.

Big shout out to :@:nowcontrol for all the endless hard work, keeping us all up to date with the Seasonal Events. 👍

3, To :@:Safoo & :@:ScotteDawg for all the feed back and support on my Photos. :embarrassed:

and lastly

4, to the Boss himself, :@:Jordan. Thank you for giving us a place to share are love of Gran Turismo. 👍👍👍👍👍

May you all have a fantastic Christmas and Happy New Year. See you in 2016 :P

@kikie - wonderful post - unless one knew you well one would never guess that you battle severe depression; your posts are always so convivial, cheerful and downright jokey. It's heartening to read that GTPlanet has a positive effect in your life and I'm very sure the members you've mentioned are more than delighted that you appreciate them.

As for Dave giving you lifetime premium - that's another ball of wax altogether. :sly:
And we should stop mentioning TB.
He won't have enough time for all the alerts he's going to get.

@Driving Park - yup, we all go through those phases - we burn the midnight oil, light the candle at both ends, wear out our soles . . . stay back late in office trying to meet that deadline - but there's always GTPlanet - a place where there'll always be someone around that you know.

One of the characteristics of GTPlanet is that it is so diverse - gaming forums, hobby and lifestyle forums, forums to discuss current events, politics and religion, forums to view photos and videos, forums to discuss hybriding, digital equipment, movies, music, sports . . . and some members never venture out of that little country they are in to explore the rest of the planet.
So many Gran Turismo, Forza, PCars, and other driving game players may never get to all the members. That's only the driving games!
And members in the Drifting and Dragging forums may have only visited the Rumble strip just once to check it out. Tunesmiths may only stay in the Music and Movie forums, wordsmiths might only check in and contribute to threads focused on literacy and language. Video lovers might live only for the epic video thread, checking for the latest viral and those who live for humour would never fail to join in the shenanigans in the humour threads. Some hobbyists only stay in their hobby-related threads. And that's good - there's something for everyone; it becomes a versatile site to network at.
But while that characteristic of being wide-spread and diverse spreads people apart, it also builds communities that are held together by the core values they believe in, and when all those communities come together sometimes is when one realises how big and active this site continually is.
One may not be recognised everywhere - even some mods would not be recognised as mods if not for the uniform because they work to maintain specific areas - well-known to the members who frequents those subforums but unknown to everybody else.
In this way, the Infield attracts a certain type of member, and they may hardly leave the Infield, but are secure in the fact that the folks in there are all friends, familiar with each other, and quite alert to what they expect of each other, and knowing they are guaranteed to be recognised and cheered up if needs be - if only with a swift kick to the pants. That's friendship, companionship, stimulation . . . and even if people like you and me get caught up in real life occasionaly throttled by stress or deadlines, we know that we are not strangers at GTPlanet.

Thank you for the compliment :) and may you enjoy the best of the holidays yourself and a Happy New Year that has you running on rails.
Hey, maybe you might even come across a thread about Trains - all sorts of stuff about trains that has non-railfans scratching their head in bewilderment at your interest.

👍

2015 has been a really up-and-down year for me here on GTPlanet. I've been blessed to be accepted into the GTP_WRS community, run by @Gravitron, @MadMax, @PASM, and crew and even go as far for them to allow me to race for their teams and affiliates in @AJ's newly re-branded, GTPlanet endorsed series. Thank you to everyone who has made my experience in the WRS and affiliated racing as great as it has been. I hope that 2016 will hold more fun times and successes.

@Angel, you've put up with me for too long, how do you do it? But really, thanks for your hard work with Virtual Reality Racing and allowing me the opportunity to earn my first championships in online Gran Turismo competition. @trobes29 as well for providing opportunities to race and pace in his league and provide some formidable competition on the track.

Thank you to everyone who's supported me through tough times when I'm mindlessly venting to the GTP status update box. I know it really doesn't belong here but sometimes I can't help myself. Besides, I figure I'll get less hate here than on Facebook or other social media outlets.

Unfortunately, I have had some poor experiences with GTPlanet members this year and consequentially have a sub-par reputation in some groups. I've felt misunderstood, misinterpreted, frustrated, and frankly despondent at times. Some members here have wronged me, but nothing can be done after it's all over and said. I've come to realize early in my life that you must take the good with the bad, and the bad with the good. I don't see this any differently and I hope that my relations with these groups and people will improve in time.

Again, a big thank you to everyone who's had my back since day one as well as a thank you to the site moderators and administrators who have made my experience here possible. Without you guys there would be no GTPlanet, no racing community, and smaller chance to meet new people who share the same hobbies and interests as you.

Merry Christmas to everyone and here's to a great 2016!

My year has been about as polarized as I could imagine. Started it coming off of a funeral and recovering from a car crash, had to deal with getting my ovaries and stuff removed, got through my first year of college, and got to embark on a few amazing projects. As @Whitetail pointed out, I started a thing called Virtual Reality Racing, that turned a year old on the 11th. Got to race online with some amazing people. But most importantly, I made a bunch of friends on here this year, and I'll be ending this year much better than last. So for GTPlanet and all who inhabit it, thank you for being you and being some of the best friends I've ever encountered.

Well, we'll see if this edit works...

2015 has been an interesting (well, not really) year for me. I started my third semester of college, and I'm about to begin my sixth semester in the spring again (summer semester). Still hopefully the plan is to continue accounting at my local community college, then move on to a four year school and finish the job up there, work in an accounting field for a few years while flying and getting hours for the ultimate goal of being a pilot..

But that's years ahead, this year however, I became a less social creature one could say. Going to the school where I am, is far from any of my friends I knew in grade school, or just around the place. Living on my own was interesting, some way rewarding, some ways annoying. Not having Internet at my house was a problem though, so the only time for GTP I had was during classes and lunch. Sometimes I squeezed it in, others not so much.

To pester him even more, I'd initially like to thank @Jordan for everything he's done. Going back and reading posts of when we crossed the 250k member mark (woohoo, go us!) and over 10 million messages was neat to see.

Some friends I made within the year, could include @BrandonW77 with our adventures with Teamspeak, @catamount39 for sharing multiple interests, @GregTheStig for attempting to getting a meetup at Petite Le Mans this year, @kolio (for his dog??) @ukfan758 for the rofl NASCAR posts, @wvmgmidget for, well, small world reasons.. @Dennisch for attempting to give me directions to the red light district while in Amsterdam and essentially everything there. @Carlos for shared interest in photography, aviation, and blowing stuff up... And many others. If I follow you, there's a reason (some of them were just because they are noobs new) why, but it's 2:30 am right now, so my brain is at 1/2 processing power.

A lot, and I mean a lot, of my time this year was spent either in the opinions and events sub-forum, or the rumbling strip and sub-forums within (good stuff there). A lot of it was more or less events going on, and learning a lot from it. I don't think I went into any of the GT forums however at all this year until maybe July or so, while looking at VGTs. An estimate would say maybe 4 times total this year. And that speaks volumes to me. As someone who played GT (while I had Internet) online solely, I never got around to playing the offline mode that much. When I was essentially forced to however, I really understood why no one likes it anymore to be honest...

Another big thing I got into this year was photography, so to @35mm @Azuremen @casey_2005 @Michael88 @Mike Rotch and anyone else of the photography crew over in those forums, thanks for feedback, comments, and inspiration you guys gave. I know it might seem like at times I was a whinny bitch, but I appreciate it. Right now, it's hard to go out and get anything good with the constant rain we're getting, but I've got a small little set coming in the next few days (or week if my SSD install craps out).

Speaking of tech, thanks to the guys who sit in the tech thread all day, I appreciate your help @nowcontrol for the SSD lesson. Also, site support thread... man, the stuff in their at times can be brutal, either way you take it.

So.. something that a few people may have done already, but I have yet to see, is a 2016 outlook. Well, to be honest, I'd like to see it go the same way. I wouldn't change a thing I did in 2015, except try a bit harder while in school, as that really hampered me. I've also been binging YouTube a lot (like, a lot) with motovologgers (motorcycle vloggers) and I've had an itch for a sport bike for the past year or two now. SO, with that said, I think a proper goal would be for me to see the possibility of achieving such by either the end of June, or if not, by this day..

And so for my 4,444th post, I bid you all goodnight, good morning, good evening, and good afternoon, to where ever you are. If you didn't get tagged, don't feel bad, maybe next year your time will come (seeing how that's in 3 days though, lol).

My year has been very good. I have met so many, and I mean many great people on this site and even on psn. The main people I want to thank are @Bowtie-muscle for getting me into tuning, @kolio and @Manasseh257NSX for being great friends on here, all the people I met on the RACE Fun Runs, and even the moderators that keep this site going. I could name a ton more people, but that would take to long to put into one post :D. Hopefully 2016 turns out to be just as great!

When I joined this forum, I would never of thought I be hooked up to an extent where I would constantly update every so hour but this is thanks to the multitude of friendly and as well as great people. It has been yet to be a year since I joined but time flies when I'm enjoying browsing and interacting with others. I would tag people but too many people have got my appreciation for helping and making the forum much more fun.

:gtpflag:

Been a pretty mixed year for me. My growth in GT6 racing continued with a more aggressive performance in @Furinkazen's ToCA13 before making the step up into Super GT with Virtual Reality Racing. Away from the serious racing, it's been fun chilling back in @nascarfan1400's RACE Fun Runs group as a chance to blow off steam. The explosion of B-Spec series has given me a further chance to expand into new mediums as well.

I've met more great people like @Angel and @Whitetail who are fast yet professional, and people like @GTRacer22 and @BayneHamlin1121 who are just cool people to hang with.

However, I've recently developed an anti-sim racing attitude over the last few months due to trivial politics about wheels and have fallen out with several people. I haven't liked the current events in sim racing and am effectively boycotting the latest PS4 sims having bought Forza out of spite. It's not what I wanted to do, but I was very pissed off at the time so I decided that enough was enough.

I want 2016 to be a personal bridge building year for me so I can make up for my recent bitterness.

For me? 2015 was a year of fortune, over-ambition, dissappointment, realization, and determination. In that order.

My goal for 2016? Redemption.

Glad to get some love by being mentioned in this thread. Cheers to you and thanks! 👍

The first half is allright. Been fun and all.

The third quarter is worrying me. But GT Sport and Course Maker coming.

Fourth? I dont know. I prefer not to state it blatantly.

The only thing I need to accomplish in 2015 is becoming a super mod and head of the mod squad.

I'd proudly wear my banhammer every day, in public and use it all the time.

Make just one, someone happy @every-body on GTP!

:D

I'd also like to thank @Shaun for his nice post in Do You like your country.

And @ItGivesYouWings for his table invitation. :P

That's it, I'm done sucking up to some people.

Pretty interesting year I have had personally. I do not go into any personal things really so... this year on GTP... hmmm.

Well, first of all I think I'd like to say thank you to @TenEightyOne, @W3HS, @prisonermonkeys, @Touring Mars and @Imari for some fantastic conversations in the opinions threads, full of respectable arguments and debates from which I learnt a lot. I'd also like to thank @Dotini for some of his amusing quips, particularly one referring to a duck in the UFO thread. And @R1600Turbo for sharing some fantastic imagary in the related Space thread. @Dennisch for just being an overall nice guy, with some pretty good posts in the Funny Pictures Thread too.
I'd also like to thank @Danny, whom I only got to know somewhat this year and I half regret, half do not. :P
@catamount39, @kikie, @Carlos, @FrzGT, @mister dog, @kolio, @Beeblebrox237, @haitch40 and @Furinkazen for being really cool guys, and @Angel and @Hollow for being super cool girls.

I'd also like to mention @JASON_ROCKS1998 for sharing a number of videos with me, as well as @ToyGTone and @FT-1. Always nice to talk to you guys, though I do not do it a lot.

@Johnnypenso for his gift and the lovely AC Challenge competition. Massive thank you there.

Let's not forget @lxmmy either, the master of hitting the like button a gazillion times ;)

Who else am I forgetting? Oh yes, @TB and @Ken, for my time on GTPlanet wouldn't be the same without those two around, and @Terronium-12 for his fantastic work with the Spotlight; always enjoy reading those. And @Famine for those odd times he has replied to my posts to correct/clarify something I have been unsure about, which I really appreciated.

And of course, we have the man himself, @Jordan for all the work he puts into maintaining these forums and the site, and keeping everything smooth.

I've probably missed a couple of names out and I am sorry about that, but overall it's been very nice here and I look forward to another lovely year on GTP with all of you guys!

Thanks @ECGadget , i would like to give a special shout out to everyone on GTP as it's all of us together that make this a great community. And also to my 'virtual friends' like the misses calls it of course, for enriching my knowledge on practically any theme that interests me:
