Am I allowed to drop guys?
Are you in the playoffs? I left the rule that said something like non-playoff teams are blocked from dropping/trading during playoffs to prevent group efforts to boost their buddy's team. I've been in a league where that happened and suddenly the more popular guy had an all-star team in the final game.

Might lose since it's late in the season and players won't be motivated. Andre Johnson had a terrible week, last couple weeks on a dying Texan team. Stafford and the Lions are pretty much done. Take us home Jamaal...
Please, please, please do not do that again, Jamaal.

Yeah lets basically lock up the rosters unless someone has an injury.
As much as I'd love for somebody to dump a running back that I could use, I agree.

The sad part is I would've been in the playoffs had it not been for that one time when I forgot to adjust my roster.

I'm still mad about last year when Jason Asshole Witten cost me the championship on a bad call by the refs.

I also forgot to swap my defenses for that game last year. Had I remembered to do that, the Witten call you hated so badly wouldn't have even mattered.

Anyways, that was almost a year ago.

I'm still having nightmare's. Stupid crappy Raiders defence. :grumpy: Oh well, congrats to all that made the playoffs.
First, my QB2 spot (QB1 is Kaepernick): I have Kellen Clemens (Stl - vs TB) and Jason Campbell (Cle - @Nyj). Campbell is projected at 18 points while Clemens is only 11. Since Bradford went out Clemens has been a solid 8-10 points with occasional 15-20 breakouts in a league where 18-20 points is a good week. Campbell bounces between 3 points and 20+ points. He's inconsistent.

Leaning towards Campbell. If only for the reason the Jets secondary is pretty average.

Vote on next year?
End the season in Week 16. Week 17 is really going to kill the scores or take away great match-ups.

This is the first league I've been in that goes into week 17. I'm just glad that the both the Patriots and Broncos play late games. With the #1 seed on the line, Peyton and Demaryius will be forced to play (or at least until it turns into a blowout because they're playing Oakland). If the Patriots had played an early game and lost (which I would love as a Bengals fan), then Peyton and Demaryius would have likely seen very little, if any, playing time. I feel like the same as Blitz. With teams locking up certain seeds, elite players often don't get the playing time they would otherwise. I feel like week 16 should be Championship game. But since this was my first year in this league, I don't want to step on anybody's toes. So I'll just shut my mouth and let you guys decide.

As for this year's championship game, I'm very worried about my wideout situation. Steve Smith just had to go down last game with a PCL injury and won't play. There just aren't any receivers out there. Nate Washington has been on my bench and has actually produced with Fitzy throwing to him the past couple of weeks. Which means he'll have a dud of a game I'm sure.

Consolation Playoff Final between me and JPH.

Good season. I like playing in Week 17 even if it means my regulars like Alex Smith won't put up huge numbers. The fact that fantasy goes on for that bit longer and has done so for a few seasons now in this league, is something I like.

Zero controversy to be found in this year's finale. Congratulations to The Expendables!

Thank you to everyone for a fun season.

Thank you! My Expendables really put up the points when it counted in the playoffs, Manning especially. Really I owe this entire season to Peyton. If it wasn't for him, I don't know for sure if I would have made the playoffs at all.

I am gracious you let me into the league, and I had a great time playing with you guys. And thank you FoolKiller for running the league. 👍

Just wondering, for my first time playing Fantasy Football how I did. I know I got lucky there at the end but what could I have done to make my team more stable points wise instead of either scoring really low or pretty high? I couldn't ever tell if my guys were going to do well or leave me with almost nothing. Or is that just how it goes with this?

That's just how it goes sometimes. You can have the greatest player ever and then one bad twist of the ankle will end his, and your, season.

Everyone has plans to pick the same 2-3 guys for every position. Those guys will be consistent, assuming no injuries. But it is all the other players that make or break the game. These guys can be good for a medium level of points per game, but occasionally they have an amazing game or get prevented from doing anything.

That is what you have to take into account during the draft. Sometimes you get lucky. I had Kaepernick in my pay league. He was drafted as a solid bench QB. He single-handedly kept me afloat all season. The other was Jamaal Charles. He was drafted as a bench RB just by default of bye weeks. He was the winning factor in the playoff games. He only started at all in those games because of injuries.

Those two players made me the champion, despite having the lowest total points by 10% less than the next lowest points. I beat the first and second ranked teams to win it all.

Here is me compared to the three teams I beat in the playoffs.

If not for my win/loss record you wouldn't think I had a chance, especially against the nearly undefeated Exhausted Nihilists.

In short: Luck is just as much of the game as your knowledge.

The 2014 league is setup. All managers from 2013 should have gotten an email at the address you signed up with.
